Silks Place Taroko

Extremely beautiful scenery around the hotel. The staff extremely helpful. Everyone in our group enjoy the hotel very much. We felt they were very accommodating and taking good care of us when my mother had an accident over there. The breakfast line was really good too. Especially the vegetarian options. I highly recommend this hotel.

Probably the best hotel experience we have ever had. The location and views were mind-blowing - sitting in a jacuzzi surrounded by cliffs and trees was remarkable. However, this was just one small part of it.

We got a shuttle transfer from Hualien station, and along the one-hour journey our driver kept us entertained by pointing out different points of interest.

When we got to the hotel, we were taken on the half-day afternoon tour. To our absolute delight, there were no other people booked in so we got an amazing and in-depth private tour from Vita and 趙司機先生. Vita's explanations of the sites, her attention to the details in pointing out the surrounding plants, natural formations, and storytelling, were captivating. Vita knew all the fun photo opportunities at every point, so we also got a dedicated photographer. 趙先生 provided us with generous and delicious refreshments, which hit the spot just right.

Then it was the experience of the hotel. From the thoughtfulness and immense comfort of our room and all its amenities, to the buffet dinner and breakfast, and the friendly and warm service of all the staff - all formed memories that will stay with us for a very long time.

Absolutely loved this hotel. We got the honeymoon suite and it was superb. The staff, the facility, cleanliness....everything was top notch. Afternoon tea is fabulous and is more like a high tea with your choice of beverage. Food is great, the hotel was so beautifully decked up in a Christmas vibe and the facilities including pool and jacuzzi are in a beautiful setting among mountains. 💯 recommend this place!

Service there is amazing, super well coordinated, very responsive to even smallest feedback, very attentive without feeling oppressive, staff member wrote us an itinerary of all our activities which were all well done, people would recognise us and one time reminded my partner of an activity she had forgotten, so don’t have to restate room number, on third dinner made us a special dish

Great English familiarity. Tour guide Vita was excellent, we had two tours with and showed us some amazing photo spots and iPhone photo tricks! Retreat lounge people were always so kind and relaxing and was really nice to go there and chill, but even without it all the facilities are super relaxing. Pool is massive

We liked the buffet restaurant the most.

We think they upgraded us to a river view suite, cleaners would leave us extra snacks or drinks if they noticed we were eating a lot of things, they asked us if could find us other drinks bc noticed we weren’t drinking a lot of them.

Overall hotel is very quiet and luxurious / comfortable feeling, all facilities are well maintained, pool is massive, music / movies at night are good touch and atmospheric

The hotel room is spacious and nice, and the staff is friendly. We were the only Koreans, but everyone was kind. Especially, the half-day tour was the best. I was thankful that my guide friend explained it in Korean and my mom took good care of me.

It’s not only about the magical location right? It’s also about the warm welcoming hospitality. Dorcas and Baya are truly amazing. I feel like friends and definitely home. As a regular, this is definitely my best experience here❤ thank you for making this trip amazing and unforgettable!

The 3-hr Taroko group trip was great, we went to 2 0-level trails. Mina and Serina guided well, even share how to take pics, but personally I think we spent way more time taking pictures. I would say the tour is more recommended for family with kids.
It would be even better if there’s English speaking tour, I believe there are a lot of foreigners coming.

One of my favorite resorts in the world. I've stayed here 1-2 times a year since I was a child growing up in Taiwan. Now I come to Taroko (and Silks) every time I return to Taiwan. About an hour from Hualien train station, you can arrange for the hotel shuttle to pick you up. The rooms are exquisite, and the food is amazing. Lots of places & trails to explore nearby, or simply enjoy the rooftop pool + jacuzzis. I always book a treatment at the spa as well -- their massages are amazing!

We came on a local Viator tour which promised 5star+ hotels .This very pretty hotel has nicely appointed rooms, everything was very clean room appeared freshly refurbished. Spotless, no scuff marks on the wall. We ate at their in house Chinese restaurant. There’s a buffet breakfast which was generous, and quality was good. As for dinner - service, polite, super fast, all food was served within 10 minutes of ordering and DELICIOUS.

Had a wonderful experience for the half day morning tour on the 6th Feb. Very enjoyable! Knowledgeable guide and friendly driver. Thank you.

Helen, front desk receptionist was courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly a very patient professional who answered all kinds of questions with a genuine and positive attitude! Can’t thank her enough after 17 hours flight and five hot drive! Proud of the manage team!the Chinese restaurant inside is amazing and prepared so different kinds of delicious food!

Kelly and Sue did mine and my boyfriend’s massage and both did a terrific job. It was a very relaxing experience, and we highly recommend them both to anyone looking for an incredible spa experience. Thank you Kelly and Sue—you both were wonderful.

Stayed at Taroko Silks hotel for 2 days in Jan 2024. Scenery, room and service was great however, food was average as compared to other Taiwan hotels. Guest service personnel Mr. Aseer was proactive to address our concerns when he noticed we needed help. Mei Yuan waitress Christine assisted us with our request in the restaurant with a great smile. Tour guide Zonna and team waa great on our half day tour as well.

Overall a pleasure experience at the hotel. Cheers!

The food is excellent and completely over-the-top abundant! They are so generous with the portions. The service is excellent, even with my extremely limited Mandarin. We were totally satiated.

Absolutely beautiful experience at this hotel. The rooms were huge and very well equipped. We were very impressed with the amenities in the room.

Firstly, they had a Dyson hair dryer which I squealed in delight as after a few days of travelling, i was just looking forward to drying my hair efficiently, just like how I do at home. As we have kids with us, they equipped the room with a full size proper UV steriliser, which was again super awesome and helpful.

Room slippers were japanese style and good quality. They even had kids size slippers and kids bathrobes (so thoughtful)!!

We went back to the room, shocked to see a handwritten note to thank us for the visit, and a warm thermal flask of corn chowder.

I must say by now we were so impressed with the unbelievable service. Management did a fantastic job in implementing all these warm touches and it’s very heartfelt. the only thing to improve on is to work on the staff’s real personal touch on a human level instead of on a protocol level.

That evening we were there, there was a fireside song session which was so immersive in the culture.

We enjoyed the hot spring, duckie pool, heated swimming pool, and kids club.

The kids called it the best hotel ever.

Honestly easily one of the top 3 hotels i’ve been to and of course the view is sublime and top off the experience like a beautiful cherry on a sundae.

The guest experience is world class. I wished i stayed there for more days to enjoy the hikes around the area and the facilities of the hotel.

Very glad we booked 2 nights’ stay at this wonderful hotel, located right inside Taroko Gorge (one of only 2 such hotels).

Booked a honeymoon (Japanese style) suite as it was the only one available online for the dates of our stay, so we were pleasantly surprised by an upgrade to a much bigger king suite room upon our arrival. The view was of the garden, which I suppose cannot compare with the gorge view rooms, but it really doesn’t matter because the minute you step out of the hotel or go go to the rooftop pool, you get gorgeous views.

Service was top notch, from the pre-trip communications and arrangements made by Victor from Guest Relations who helped arrange our car pickup from the train station and made suggestions for where we could visit prior to checking in, to Jerry who received us upon our arrival, to the awesome and knowledgeable Asser who took us on the hotel’s half-day tour, and Christine the server at Mei Yuan restaurant where we had our dinner. Kudos to all your staff! Keep up the high service standards!

Neeko was an amazing masseuse. One of the best massages. Works at the leve you need and is very attentive.

The ambience was also great. Mountains views with a personal spa amenities.

Sue did an amazing job with my massage! Super friendly, and super soothing massage that put me to sleep. Wonderful facility as well. Thank you again Sue!

Had a wonderful meal at Mei Yuan restaurant served by Apple. Apple is an amazing hostess and anyone would be lucky to have her. The hot pot was delicious and Apple cooked everything to perfection.
