Bilu Giant Tree

There is something grand about being next to and being able to touch a 3000 year+ old living tree especially on a misty day that gives it such an aura of age.

beautiful tree, but there is really no parking, just some space for maybe 4 cars to stop for a while.

I have seen old trees before, but this one is interesting. rather than one large healthy tree, it seems to be a combination of many trees, maybe the older one died and the younger one grew outside?

the cafe is gone. and there was no food until Tianxiang 7-11. We traveled on a weekday.

Please take a rest in here to enjoy your trip. It's a nice rest area for a short stop. And, you can have an easy lunch in here too.

Stopped here on drive from Hualien to Sun Moon Lake. If you are in that drive, definitely worth stopping to see the tree and go into the little shop for some tea. I would not go out of my way to see it though.

You can stop here and take a rest to enjoy the beautiful scenery when you are tired.

A nice and giant tree you shouldn’t pass when you pass by. Just stop by, take a restroom and enjoy a giant big tree next to the road.

Beautiful scenery. There is a quaint coffeeshop so you can enjoy the view with a warm beverage.

We arrived around 18:15 with our bicycle, sky was dark and good that they still provide meal to us.

Great views of Yangtou mountain with Zhongyangjian and Nanhu visible in the distance in good weather. The stop has toilets and a small eatery.

A 3000 years tree. Must see !

This is a giant tree, really giant and ancient. It’s a good giant tree. If you like giant tree, you will like this giant tree. 10/10 will see this giant tree again.
