Nanshan Tribe

Nanshan Tribe, located in Nanshan Village, Yilan County, Taiwan, is an indigenous tribe renowned for its profound cultural heritage and rich natural scenery.

今日的南山天氣真的好。高麗菜季採收完畢，光禿禿的田野風情，7-11 全家都是賞櫻半路上的行人

南山村泰雅語稱「比雅楠」(Pyanan)，意思是「祖先曾經來過的地方」，族人祖先原住在仁愛鄉發祥村，後因人口增加，頭目率勇士翻越中央山脈來到比雅楠台地，見此土地肥沃，因而移居於此地。
為臺灣扁柏，樹齡約二千五百年，座落於「馬告檜木國家公園」預定地，檜木林區內有70多棵珍貴檜木。民國101年羅東林管處太平山工作站破獲盜伐集團，這片為數不少的千年神木區，才引起各界關注，同年4月南山部落泰雅族人發起「比雅楠山林守護隊」，與林管處共同捍衛山林，保護這片珍貴的巨木森林。

這是台7甲中橫公路宜蘭支線上非常重要的一個休憩與補給點。
不論是往武陵農場、梨山、大禹嶺、合歡山方向；或往宜蘭、花蓮、台北、台東方向；甚至攀爬附近百岳、中級山的過往、住宿，無疑的南山部落的店家、民宿、商家，餐飲，甚至加油站，提供了無與倫比的助益。

南山部落是往返梨山、宜蘭的一個中繼站，在這裡都要休息整備一下。
