Walking to the Shrine is to remember those who died when building this highway. The building was built with waterfalls. Walk up and back give you a different view of the Liwu river and Changchun Bridge.

Cute short hike to reach this place. We lucked out and manage to watch the nuns praying! It has beautiful views, just like everywhere in taroko gorge!

Incredibly beautiful spot. It’s a short walk (900m return) from the car park to the Shrine where you can overlook the gorge and take in the serenity while reflecting on the construction workers who died building the road through here. The full pathway is not open so you don’t need to schedule more than an hour here.

Also if coming by bus, remember you can use the 302 route as well as the 310 Tourist Shuttle, the 302 comes more frequently but stops most of the same places.

One of must-see destination in Taroko list. Easy to access the parking lot by car, bus or scooters. Cross the red bridge, go down to a tunel then the temple appears at the end. It's a small temple which was built to honor the people who died during the time of highway construction. Peaceful and sacred place.
No need ticket.

Built for the honourable and brave workers who lost their lives building the road through the mountains. Great view and clean, this shrine peaks through the marble mountains with crystal clear waters

One of the trail inside Taroko National Park. You can drive here, park and get these pictures without doing the trail. Suggested to do. I didn’t do it because we don’t have enough time.

Absolutely breathtaking views from the parking lot, and the walk towards the shrine is very nice to do as well. Do not miss on this!

One of the most best inside Taroko Gorge and a must-see place when you're there visiting - the temple is lovely and to read the stories about the history is fascinating - defiantly take a walk up to see the views too!

A place like out of a fairytale. There's currently not much to do here since the trail is closed, but the view is just stunning. You can walk up to the shrine and see it from up close but it just looks so fantastic from afar. Weather wasn't very good, the rain was drizzling, but this only added to the atmosphere. Would have loved to try the trail, so I'll be back sometime in the future.

A location with serenity. Pristine lake water below. Ideal place to spend an afternoon just trekking along the elderly friendly trail.

Very cool walk to see the temple that seems so little from a distance then it's actually kimda small up close. You can see the waterfall source at the top. There are some cool scenes to see on the way to the temple. A must see place in Taroko.

Amazing view! This temple was built to honor all the people who died during the construction of the road and their names are carved on the plates on the way to temple. There’s a hiking path to the top of the hill behind the temple, connecting it with the Buddhist monastery. Quite an elevation, I must say :), but totally worth it!

A nice temple with waterfall under the temple.
There is another temple on side of the cliff.
Looks amazing though. It is the first attraction when you entered Taroko National Park after the entry statue.
