Wenshan Yexi Hot Spring

The trail down to the hot springs is closed due to rockfalls. At your own risk you could ignore the signs and go down. The stairs down to the pools are steep and can be slippery. So be careful.

Attempted during a sunny day and was one of my favorite hot springs in Taiwan so far. It is pretty challenging to get down. I would not do it on a rainy day.

Unfortunately access is no longer available, managed to visit in 2019, today access is not available, far too dangerous, the steps have disappeared furths and more like a slippery slide, the rope hand rail is no longer there for support, if manage to get down safely getting up will be very dangerous indeed. The next challenge will be get too the hotspring itself as only very slippery steep rock full of minerals.
The hotspring is still active flowing loads of hot water.
Today is rain and heavily flowing downstream, new rope access and access needs to be built but it will be.

Far too risky to attempt today, glad made it there in 2019.

The path down has obviously been purposefully destroyed but people still go down there frequently. You have to climb over several barriers to get there, including a high metal gate, then very carefully go down the flattened remains of the steps.

In dry weather it was nerve wracking but possible. I would not attempt in wet weather at all due to slipping risk and especially due to risk of rockslides and landslides. Warning signs note the state of the canyon is at high risk currently for rock falls and you could see water dripping and gravel rocks fallen on the path in several sections on the way down. Also please mind the very strong current in the river even when it hasn’t been raining.

Amazing Hot springs! The trail is easy to go down until you reach a metal gate, which you have to climb over. It is probably waist high, so it’s not too much of a challenge. Then comes what used to be rock stairs, that have been crushed to try to stop people from going down. It is quite dangerous, but easily manageable, if you are careful. I would not recommend going down when wet.
Once you have gone down, it is absolutely fantastic. The view is as good as it gets and the hot springs is so calming. Perfect way to spend a couple of hours to revitalize:)

내려가는길이 매우 가파르고 좁으니 매우 유의.
비오는날엔 안가는게 좋다. 미끄러지면 사망.
커다란 바위 아래 온천이 있어 낙석우려로 폐쇄되었다 함.
원수는 매우뜨거워 있을수없고 계곡물이랑 섞어 적당히 만들어야 함.
하류쪽으로 바위 옆 밧줄 붙잡고 넘어가면 조그민 동굴 속에서 솓는 온천이 있으나 너무 뜨거워 들어갈수 없음. 주차후 이곳까지 걸어서 10분.

只能走到吊橋

雖然此溫泉周遭風景秀麗，但上方堆積的土石還有繼續崩落的風險。台灣也不缺此一野溪溫泉，想造訪不太安全的溫泉就要有冒險的心理準備。
政府公告：
文山溫泉是太魯閣國家公園內唯一的野溪溫泉，屬中性硫酸鹽泉，為立霧溪支流的大沙溪岩壁所湧出，泉溫約45度左右，適合泡湯，太管處曾向林務局承租開發為遊憩區，2005年因一場落石意外，造成1死7傷，便將溫泉封閉，且評估該區歷經多次災害封閉，無法有效在溪谷設置硬體設施設，2018年行文林務局不再續租，恢復為野溪溫泉利用模式。

硫黄臭のする野湯。ガイド付きじゃないと行きづらい場所なので要注意です！
