The crispy pork is very very recommended! Love the taste, and the tenderness of the meat! Just perfecto! The shark meat tasted surprisingly good too and goes very well with the sauce. Other dishes were ok, but the mentioned 2 would be the reason I will come back to this shop!

The noodle is really cheap at Taipei. The food is really tasty. The soup is also yummy. The braised pork is good as YouTuber’s description. I also recommend to order that. There are really a lot of people inline. I think that best time to dine in is 9:00~10:00. If you want to take out that also need inline to order.

Simplicity is the best. Every time I go back to Taipei, I will definitely go there and enjoy the noodles and Taiwanese roasted pork. It is home where I belong. Traditional favor always keep my memories as a child. No wonder it’s not so fancy but it’s recommended by Bib Gournand. I love it!

Superb local eatery experience. The shop looks plain but just look at the long queue around lunchtime you can only imagine the deliciousness.

I love wonton noodle here! Everything is delicious; noodle,wonton,soup. Boiled chicken platter is fresh and yummy 😋 it's crowded since early morning, sometimes you need to share the table. Many stuff will run out if you come later 11am. Every day has a long line up. Either take away or sit-in has the same line.

If you’re craving for the simple kidney, liver and noodle combination, this little joint does only that and does it very well. The boss maitre’d (well sort of), is very polite, takes your order when it’s your turn in the queue. Showed me to my seat and the food came quickly within a few minutes.
The key is to get there early. I was there at 12.30 and the delicious looking vegetables were already sold out.
Many others orders the fried shark and the chicken but I was only there for the pork specialities. The seating is simple and not suitable for large groups, so go alone or with at most one other friend.
The dongfen was nicely done and the soup was delicious! So happy I found this place and really glad I bothered to queue.

The 賣麵炎仔 is one of the restaurants on the 2019 Taipei Bibendum guide. The store isnt big but does have air conditioner so no worries with the hot weather. Food is fairly cheap in general, the signature noodle only costs 20NT dollar and it tastes really good. Other than that the pork and chicken are also worth to try out.

Very local and great local Taiwanese noodles shop. Expect all queue and simple settings.

I just had to try this place to see why it’s on the Bibendum guide. First of all, it would be very hard (not impossible) for foreigners to eat here. They do not have a menu and they mainly speak Taiwanese. The idea is that you are supposed to see what do they at the front and order only the items they have available now. I didn’t get to try their crispy pork, but I ordered enough to experience the legend. Overall I think that people here for simple comfort food and taste the freshness of the ingredients. The sesame oil kidney soup is my favorite. The kidney was so tender, and they clean it very well. Usually you can have a nice meal for $3-4 USD. I ordered a soup noodle, a crispy onion oil rice, a kidney soup and a plate of squid and pork belly. The total was about $7.5 USD. No wonder there’s always a line.

Delicious chicken, pork and noodles. Noodles come in flavorful light broth that is a perfect companion to your chosen protein. Chicken is juicy and tender and comes with two sauces (thick soy sauce and Taiwanese sweet chilly sauce[not spicy though, more sweet than spicy]). Service is amazingly friendly given how busy they are. Really was amazed at their attitude towards customers even when clearly super busy. Price is very worth it. Environment is kept reasonably clean. Would definitely revisit.

If you want to stay local and enjoy the daily Taiwan style food. This is the one you are looking for. You have to take the line first and tell them how many people you have, and what kind of food you want (boiled chicken, pork sliced, noodles or rice noodles..) and they will arrange it for you base on how many people you have. They will guide you to the tables as well. It's kind of friendly after all. ( But they might talk louder which is fine with me)

There’s a long queue this afternoon. But it was well worth the wait. The noodles were good. We tried both the soup and dry versions, along with fried pork to accompany.

Delicious crispy pork and liver! Fresh noodles and fast service. Don't expect a lot of frills. Staff helped us out in English, too. I want to try the heart next time.

The noodle shop that my family has been eating for the past 15 years. Excellent food and need to go early to avoid a long wait.

I love this place. The food is delicious and the owners are super generous.
