Although we might be sad, but sometimes moving on with the next generation of arty coutures environment evolving, now we just set it starts with goodbye.

I’ll miss you Xinyi Eslite until you come back but I hope you’ll make up for it by getting us richest information and coutures energy.

Good selection of books, music, lifestyle products, food, cafe, fashions, etc.

Impressed by this 24 hours bookshop survived through transitions to digital age while many have closed their businesses.

I came here solely for the purpose of browsing in their stationery section and wow! What a great selection of cards, pens, notebooks, Japanese ephemera. I spent so many hours there I didn’t have a chance to look at the other floors. It’s the best stationery store in Taipei even if their prices are on the higher side!

A Taipei landmark, but soon to be closed, unfortunately. A must see place to visit while you can. You can spend a whole day here, and lots besides books. Basically a multilevel shopping mall with a bit of everything as well as some interesting surprises that you're unlikely to find elsewhere. Lots of places to eat or get coffee, and connected to the Taipei City Hall complex as well so you will have numerous options.

A wonderland if you love books and magazines. There is even a section that allows you to read for 24 hours. Such a wide selection of reading materials of all genres, including English books! Let the pictures and reviews speak for themselves.

best bookstore I’ve ever been to ok Taiwan. Have many things to buy in a huge place. They also have places for kids to play

It has a very very very book store that span 2 floors selling mainly Chinese books. It has other stuffs that caters to lifestyles...

This was my go to bookstore in Taipei. Very sad that it is closing ☹

I CANNOT believe they are closing!! This is my favorite bookstore in the world I think. So many things to do here, so many books, music records etc. After decades, they decided to close down shop and I'm sure thousands of people in Taipei are super sad about it.
This 24 hour bookstore has seen everything. Countless people would come here whether they are taking a girl or boy on a date, or they've just been dumped by one, maybe they are just bored and don't know where to go (this is me most of the time). They are such a go-to place in the Xinyi shopping area. On the second floor they have a healthy collection of car magazines I love, and you can read most of them. On the third floor, they have novels and books from global writers. The fourth floor is a true treasure hunt if you are into useless but cute stuff like Jelly cat stuffed animals. If you are hungry you can always go down to the food court and get something to eat. Sad to see it go.

Definitely best bookstore in Taipei. The store offers a great variety of books and magazines, categorising them clearly and neatly.
I'm quite fascinated by the gracious atmosphere here
Good place for simply passing the time

Eliste branched out from just the bookstore to this full out department store. Five star for the children floor on the fifth. The bookstore has many of the Chinese and English collections. Not so busy during weekday afternoons and you can read a few stories with your little ones just on the steps. Staffs are very helpful when needed and leave you alone to hang out when not needed.

Too bad it’s going to close soon.

In my experience, the chicken is really delicious and worth it more than bb.q (I have only tried these two places). The chicken is cooked to perfection and crispier. But bb.q chicken has more sauce. However, even when I come during normal weekday, the wait time is pretty long. Actually bb.q is also very long. So I guess you need to wait for your food.

Love this place, but closing soon. Many variety of books...

Many local brands and cute stationaries here! If you are into cute stationery and decorations this place is definitely worth to visit. There is also a food court on the lower level of the building.

It was our favorite bookstore where we spent hours upon hours browsing books and CDs, and eating in their food court when we used to live in Taiwan, especially during the hot summer months.

They also used to screen free movies in the mid-2000s.

We now live in Canada but made sure to visit the store one last time during our trip to Taiwan this past July.

Thank you for your outstanding service and all the fond memories.

So Long, Farewell!

Since Dunnan Eslite bookstore shutdown, this Xinyi brunch become my must go to place. Instead of traditional bookstore, this Xinyi Eslite building more like a “multifunction” 24hrs bookstore, or you can say it’s a department stores. However, they announced it’s going to shutdown this brunch in end of this year as many reasons,I wish this place can stay here forever.

Since Dunnan had closed in 2020
Xinyi store has becoming my favorite place to stay over the weekend or random nights that suffered from insomnia.

Reading never dies, eslite is always more than just a book store, it became a staple, an outlet for people who carries the personality of an old souls. Also the appreciation of paper books
