Sakul Trail

Easy trail for beginners, just prepare yourself for a short, steep climb up at the start. Other reviewers have suggested going up the left side, and a local I chatted with said the same thing. I was here on a Sunday in early June, started walking at 650am and it was cool, sunny, and devoid of other humans. That was great, until I realised that meant I was walking straight into every spider web strung across the path and clearing them for other people 😆
It rained the night before, so the small waterfall was roaring nicely. Parts of the trail were a little muddy from the rain, and my walking pole saved me from a couple of slippery bits.
To temper your expectations, consider this: I'm a very unfit city girl from an island-state with no mountains, just hills and maybe a couple of manmade waterfalls. So this was a good experience for me, may not be the same for you.
By the time I left the waterfall lookout point and made my way down at around 830am, the heat and humidity were setting in.
I wore hiking boots and socks, long pants and a short sleeved dri-fit top. That was comfortable for me, though I wish I'd brought a hat. Some others I came across seemed ok with shorts and sports shoes.

You can do a whole round of the trail within 40 minutes walking. Felt like a quick escape from the city🪐

Just a short drive from downtown Hualien, this trail offers an easily accessible escape into nature. Despite its proximity to the city, it feels like a world away, surrounded by stunning scenery. The trail is brief yet fulfilling, with manageable inclines and descents that make it ideal for all fitness levels. Our experience was nothing short of enjoyable, offering us the chance to immerse ourselves in the tranquility of the outdoors without straying too far from the urban environment.

This trail is suitable for almost everyone to give it a try. It's short and beautiful, and it is not far from downtown Hualien.

Really nice short but somewhat steep hike to a beautiful waterfall. Love coming here before work hours for a brief hike and nature experience! In the morning there are monkeys that are active in the trees next to the parking lot!

Great waterfall at the end of a loop hike of pristine rainforest, docile monkeys, and a good workout with some climbs. Short hike.

🅿入口處有停車場，可容納不少車。一旁設有洗手間，相當友善。

🗺為一環狀線，全長1350M，選擇右進左出，先由溪邊緩上，沿途為碎石子路、階梯及木棧道組成，整體林蔭遮蔽多，步道屬輕鬆好走。單線走至底為撒固兒瀑布，瀑布水氣飄來，清涼一消暑氣，另外步道中不時有猴子的身影穿梭，環狀線約40分鐘走完，有餘力可再探訪一旁的佐倉步道。

適合小朋友的步道，坡道和緩，景色優美，可眺望花蓮市與機場，瀑布乾淨透徹美麗，還有猴子群陪伴

一條花蓮市郊容易親近的山徑步道，沿途山林濃密、綠意盎然，都有樹蔭遮蔽，行走其間可聽蟲鳴鳥叫，呼吸森林的氣味，十分舒暢。不算長的步道，除了看得到山，也見得著海，山谷裡美麗的瀑布秘境，輕鬆就垂手可得。

走完全程約1個鐘頭，能看到猴群、瀑布、清澈的溪水以及遠眺市景。適合不想爬太累又想踏青的人，推薦！

相比佐倉步道，路程短很多。與佐倉步道共用停車場。撒固兒步道在停車場右側，過橋。
右邊路線到瀑布570公尺，這一段有遮蔭，有陽光，樹上還有很多猴子，與人們面面相覷，非常有趣。可原路折返或是繼續前行環狀路線780公尺，到出口即入口的左邊路線回來。全程約一小時。
樹叢林相很豐富，非常棒的步道。

如果有帶長輩及小小孩，建議就直接步道走右邊往返，可以看風景、感受山林之美，也可以直達瀑布自行發揮發揮，注意石頭會滑，安全第一，有要參加20條步道的朋友也要記得帶紙張去自拍一下參加地方唯美步道活動

非常新手友善的地方，來回大概半小時而已，路徑清楚、維護良好，入口還有乾淨的廁所，不過小黑蚊蠻多的，要記得噴防蚊液。
