Qixingtan Scenic Area

Super nice beach. Different from other sandy beaches cos its ALL PEBBLES! Walking on the Qixingtan 7 Stars Beach is like a foot reflexology treatment 😁 Beautiful views and super cute stone totems all over. But at the entrance steps there is an extra cute totem made by a small boy. Super like! Plus its a great IG oppo👍🏻

So beautiful and exciting to stand at the edge of the Pacific Ocean watching the waves crash over and over onto the beach. Pebbles are really beautiful. Guide reminded us not to remove the pebbles from the beach.

It’s a beautiful black sand beach filled with unique pebbles. It was far too windy for us to actually enjoy the beach but it was still lovely to look at.

Qixingtan Scenic Area is a great place to enjoy the sea and the sand, no! They are PEBBLES, which fill the shore in the millions! The currents are stronger in winter and the waves reach the pebbles at unexpected heights.

Very friendly for most tourists, it might however be slightly limited for wheel-chaired guests.

There are many wild dogs in the area but are mostly harmless.

The air force military grounds are on the opposite side of the road.

The Qixingtan Beach (七星潭) is an absolute must-visit when in Hualien. This unique pebble beach stands out against the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean. The kids ended up playing pebbles stacking. It's a scenic coastal location that you should not miss.
There were stray dogs sighted in the area, so be careful not to get too near with these stray dogs.

If you are coming to Hualien, one of the go-to places. You can reach here by 310 bus. A very calm place. Not many people, you can rent a bicycle or walk.

Rock beach has a different kind of charm. Instead of building sand castle, you can challenge yourself to build the tallest rock tower. The rock beach always means a different kind of sound as the wave retreat back to the sea. Very lovely place to come in the early morning or late afternoon when the rock is not cooked by the sun.

The place is also right beside the airforce base. So you can occasionally see F16 take off with thundering sound right over your head.

Fun beach by the Air Force base, you can see some jets flying by sometimes.
Very interesting rock varieties at the beach too, smoothly polished and a variety of colors and patterns.

Our favorite beach so far. It’s amazing to see clean pebbles everywhere in this beach. My girls had so much fun and we stayed in a hotel facing the beach. Best feeling ever. Try to catch the sunrise if you can

Beautiful area. It's a pebble beach, but really beautiful.

Great spot to enjoy the pure sky and the cerulean sea of west pacific. Sometimes might see the aircrafts landed in the air base next to the beach. Take off your shoes to feel the cobblestone with your bare feet. Nice place to visit with your family during the vocation.

Beautiful stone/pebble beach - the ocean spray is intriguing, and leaves the taste of salt on your lips by the end of the day. This beach is not a swimming beach - it is more of a beach where you can truly take in all the beauty of the ocean and enjoy the view of mountain ranges in the back drop. There are rocks and stones of all sizes on the beach where amazing photo ops may be had. There are some food stands for grilled snacks. There is a military base right behind the beach, so there may be times where jets are fly back to base - pretty cool if you like military jets. Even though not very large and not a swimming beach I still say it is a must see for its natural beauty.

Famous tourist attraction in Hualien. If you’re a ocean lover, don’t forget to pay a visit if the weather is fine. Water is so clear and blue, you can even see the gradient (light blue, sky blue and dark blue). With the sun rise, the view just looks amazing

A scenic place to visit. Its windy and sunny when I visit. I never regret bringing an umbrella along, as it provide shade so that I can stay there longer.

There is a Buddha statue there as well. Build in 2015. Worth the Instagram shot.

Please try to keep the pebbles in the beach. I saw ppl taking some when they are goon back. We should all play a part to preserve this nature site. So that the next generation can enjoy this place.

There is a Giant in statue behind the beach.
Many people came here for swimming though.
