Most of the round pebbles within reach have been covered up by gravel sand. Further down closer to the sea, the pebbles are still there. Nice view of the Pacific Ocean!

Great beach with a picturesque mountain view in the distance. The beach is rocky-not sand and it is NOT meant for swimming as the waves pull you back. Best to come at sunrise/sunset, it is beautiful and the sun is not scorching you like it does during the day.

A Must Visit Place when you are in Hualien. This pebble beach is one of its kind with a beautiful background. Wish i could spend more time here. Please go in the early morning or in the evening time.

Located on the outskirts of Hualien, Qixingtan is only 20 minutes away from the city. It is not a pool but a vast ocean. Come here to rent a bicycle and have a glimpse of the beautiful Qixingtan with the gentle sea breeze.
The majestic Central Mountains are backed by the vast Pacific Ocean, and as far as the eye can see is the towering Qingshui Cliff; when you climb the No. 48 Highland, you can have a panoramic view of the shining Moon Bay; the lively Chaojin Fishing Farm on the side, from early in the morning. Wholesale fishermen have just caught the freshest catch, and even the large mambo can be seen here.
Different from the sea areas in other places, Hualien's near seabed is a large fault, which is not suitable for water activities, but also because of this, it allows tourists to have a quiet and relaxing space. , listen carefully to the tide against the shore, sit quietly on the shore and enjoy a pleasant afternoon.
In high school, the teacher would occasionally take the class to Qixingtan for a walk. While appreciating the beauty of the hometown, he would pick up dead wood to make works that belong to us; he even rode a motorcycle with his classmates to this place in the silent and late night, without the distraction of human voices and noise. Looking up, you can see the Milky Way covering the sky and stars filling the entire night sky. Waiting for the dawn, watching the yolk-like morning sun rise from the sea level, the scenery made us all quiet for a while.
Qixingtan in my eyes, because it is the Pacific Ocean that can be seen since middle school, seems to accompany my growth, full of infinite memories and youth; with the ebb and flow of the tide, the blue bay is still there, and I am about to go to university and leave here . Although Ocean University is also located in the bay, it has long been unable to replace the position of Qixingtan in my heart.

This place is So beautiful. There are lots of rocks laying on the beach. If you are lucky enough, you might be able to find fossils!

So worth to stop by and relax by the ocean. It's not allowed to swim there bc of the current, but the beauty of the place makes it special.

It's a nice big beach with big waves! Be careful if you are going close to play with the wave.. a wave take us and we fall down in the water... The wave are surprisingly very strong.
