Only two choices, vegan or meat. I read lots of negative reviews below; I just tried to stretch the truth for you. Rice growing from the same town, and all you can see on rice are what people used to eat years ago. 90 for one box. Don’t try to take it comparing with fancy meals, you’ll get disappointed.

Chishang’s famous lunch box (bento) shop, recommended to me by one of the town’s top chefs. Featuring local rice flavored with wooden boxes, the meal is designed to resemble the traditional lunch boxes that were (and still are) served on Taiwan’s traditional coal trains.

Personally didn't find anything special about the rice but it's probably just my taste buds. The bento was yummy and really filling - I liked the flaky thingy most. Lady boss was friendly too! This is literally at the doorstep of the train station so you can't miss it.

I think this shop is the best bento shop I have ever eaten. You, the people who have left negative reviews too much, insult such a delicious bento shop. I am a student studying in Taiwan. This is my first I have eaten this restaurant 10 times. I feel from the bottom of my heart that this restaurant is really delicious. Please do n’t criticize them. Sometimes, the lunch box will be because of the limited local ingredients. It ’s so delicious, and it ’s not something that the store can decide. I can realize that the store is ready to serve the customers. They really do it carefully, so please do n’t criticize it. You must give the store the greatest support. In the end, I would like to believe that you will often come to the US trip. I really like the lunch box of the US trip. He is the best lunch I have tasted in Taiwan. Please support me ^ ^

外帶招牌便當 $100及雞腿便當$130各一，配菜與口感還不錯，只是小貴。
柴魚片配飯滿搭。

只是便當的池上米，吃起來普通。
可能如司機大哥說的．．頂級米要去農會購買，哈😅

覺得池上便當大概就那樣而已，只是旅遊必須來吃氣氛～很多家會選這家是因為人比較少不用排隊，還有甚至比排隊的好吃點👍重點好停車😂氣氛也不錯！有很多便當紙片蓋留言牆～另外便當盒外裝也好看很好打卡🫰

太晚來買便當了，只剩下一種口味雖然有放在保溫裡面但是打開吃的時候已經都冷掉了，不過配菜很豐富柴魚片挺下飯的，剩下就普通了點。店裡的裝潢慢慢古早味風格相當不錯！

印象中十年前這家以前開在對面老房子，換到這裡之後感覺生意有沒落，可能以前老人家不在了，或是換老闆了，米飯吃起來口感有點差異，少了鮮甜的口感，配料也沒有以前豐富，不曉得是不是水質造成，有內用座位，想吃個回憶可以一訪

我吃過最好吃的便當，即使冷掉還是很好吃。
去年來池上玩，吃過一次，就念念不忘。
今年搭車回台北前，買了二個，準備火車上吃，另一個隔天吃，是有多愛啊。
對我來說這個便當，完全沒有雷，全部的菜色都很合我口味，可以吃光光，連一粒米都不浪費呢。
也可以內用喔，還有免費湯品。

雞腿便當 不知道是沒有當下吃 還是放太久
雞腿肉有點太過紮實
推薦大家儘快吃比較好 比較美味

好險裡面有冷氣 涼但不冷
但真的有就差很多了
坐位採用自助式
自己拿自己吃自己收
所以前一位客人有可能回留一些食物在桌上給下一位客人

評價滿兩極的，應該因為不是現做的，加上為了保存沒辦法讓米飯停留在最佳狀態。

招牌便當 90元
有柴魚片，發現滿多人不喜歡的。
個人覺得滿香的，肉類滿多的，味道都還行。
菜比較少一點，飯量很剛好，滿精緻的份量。（對喜歡吃粗飽的男生們應該不夠）
對觀光客來說，剛好留胃口繼續吃其他小吃！

不得不說，在池上買的池上便當就是比台北的CP 值高，推薦大家到池上到這家嚐看看。
