Ali Bey Konagi

This place have a big door entrance that's kicked you got to ring the bell on your top right. The rooms are amazing and their breakfast is to notch Kurdish style. Included.

Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay at the Ali Bey! The staff took excellent care of us, the rooms were comfortable, and the entire place had such charm! Beautiful! We felt safe with the gated courtyard. Parking was easy. AND the location was perfect for walking to restaurants and museums! The daily breakfast was delicious, too! Thank you, Ali Bey, and we hope to see you again!

First,

The location is simply AMAZING as it is in the heart of the old city and you can walk to so many places from there including the old markets.

Second,

The staff are super wonderful and cooperative. I literally felt as if they were a family members and not as a hotel staff only. I thank everyone working at Ali Bey Konagi.

Third,

The old design and architecture of the hotel is gorgeous and I felt that I have used the time machine and went back a 100 years ago. In fact it is a very old hotel but is mind blowing.

Fourth,

The cleanliness was very good and it has been taken care of thoroughly.

Fifth,

The WiFi service was not that good inside the rooms because of the thick bricks/blocks of the walls which weakens the signal but it was good in other public places at the hotel.

I personally recommend this hotel for the above mentioned points.

Best breakfast ever, from a very blessed lady. I have no idea what happens when I eat their breakfast I get full so fast and I eat alot. I think the quality of food is extremely good. The location is excellent next to the copper market and most of the museums, and ofc the beautiful castle. The people and service is five stars and the rooms are clean, beautiful, and atmospheric.

Location is perfect, service was friendly and breakfast was a huge feast for the eyes and tastebuds. Each day started with a smile, all the sights were nearby, and we could spend hours sipping tea in the courtyard listening to the birds between jaunts. Great value and a great place to start your gourmet adventures in food city.

A wonderful experience of historical palace. Over 100 years building. Furniture and decorations are in original look. I liked living in the 19th century for a while. The host is very welcoming and we lived there one night and had a very nice time. Breakfast is like home and may come back here again.

Very attractive place, first impression is what the he** but the next morning it turns in to a very nice and comfortable place.
The lady in the hotel ( whom runs everything a 5 star hotel staff you might call) is adorable lady, a home made breakfast is first thing in the morning at 8 with all you can imagine from a Turkish (well Syrian also 🇸🇾🇸🇾) cousine.
The room is fantastic, old style electric switch, taps, bed, bed sheets,...etc.

This hotel is located in the middle of the old city, everything is on a walking distance.
The rooms are very clean aswell as the bathroom.
The staff is very helpful and the hotel itself is very pittoresque.
Would recommend everyone.

A lovely guest house at the foot of the castle in the old part of town, you can easily get to many historic landmarks. Breakfast was filling and perfect to start the day. The rooms are charming and elegant. Everyone was very helpful and friendly.

Last week I returned from Ali Bey Konagi and I can flat out say that I recommend it highly. In the past, I have been misled by pictures of hotel rooms that didn't match reality and I have wondered about people's experiences, but I can honestly say that what you see is what you get here - a beautifully restored building that is immaculately clean with nice, firm beds and a modernly equipped bathroom.

Moreover, the hosts are friendly and serve a wonderful breakfast that will keep you going until dinner. The location is perfect, albeit not in the most picturesque part of town, but it is midway between the old town and access to newer areas. I used the Lonely Planet guide to navigate and I found this location to be great for seeing the recommended areas in the old city near the Copper Bazaar, but also cafes and other points of interest in the other part of the city were closer than if I had stayed more deeply in the old town. Besides, the hamam was seriously close and made it easier to tell the taxi drivers where to let me off!

If/when I return to Gaziantep, this will definitely be my first choice - it is that good.
