Tahmis is located at a very old building (from 17th century) and it has beautiful interior.
We had amazing menengic coffee (made from a type of pistachio and has no caffeine).

Highliy recommended! You can drink the best Turkish coffee ever and traditional "Menengiç" coffee " in Tahmis.
It was 2 years I couldn't go there, and i finally drank Menengiç coffee after 2 years in tahmis..🥹
If you visit Gaziantep, you should try traditional turkish menengiç coffe .
I highly recommend it.
And I love it so much!
I should buy and bring to the U.S. as well.
Thanks a lot!
Best regards...

The pistachio coffee (menengic) is amazing 🤩 baklava is so good 😋 you can purchase the coffee in packages in their shop, which is outside of the cafe.

Give Menengic coffee a try. Apparently it's some sort of traditional Turkish coffee specifically in Gaziantep.

Always peaceful...Always interesting..However, over the last 15 years, it is loosing its unique local texture, more and more becoming a touristic place.
But again it is the best coffee place in town.

Nice old cafe next to the bazaar and the old town. Very friendly staff. Do not miss the pistachio coffee with a baklava or two. They also have a terrace and a shop where they sell their coffee.

If you want to experience menengiç coffee in the most historic place you can in Gaziantep, then come to Tahmis Kahvesi. The building is a historic building from the 15th century, sitting and having a coffee here is a must in Gaziantep. The menengiç was delicious, as well as the tea. The place is very nice and peaceful, staffs are very kind, friendly and quick.Toilet was clean.Place is very authentic. Place has a very important history since the Ottoman.A Ottoman Sultan was drank a coffe in here. Coffee was high quality I tried “menengiç” but I think normal Turkish coffee should be better.Autopark is 200-250 m away from the place. There are lots of spice seller, restaurants, old caravanserais around the cafe.

Tahmis means a place where coffee beans are ground. This cafe serves almost 400 years. It is said that Sultan Murat 4th rested here while he was going to his campaign to Bagdad.

This cafe has it's own type of coffee named Menengic which is made of terebinth.

If you come to Gaziantep, you should definitely try it.

After fresh pistachio, salad with pistachio, pistachio icecream, and baklava you can only come full circle on the pistachio gaziantexperience with a cup of sweet pistachio cafeïne at Tahmis Kahvesi.

Just pay before the local band comes and sings at your table—unless you’re looking for a creative story about how you caught Covid-19.

With beautiful and historical interior, this cafe provides visitors with an authentic cafe culture experience in Gaziantep. Their ‘Menengic’ coffee is one of the best in the or menu along with others. Only down side is their cold drinks menu. They only have canned drinks available and few fresh juice if not mistaken. They could have tried making Turkish coffee and Menengic coffee Iced. A tiny bit of experiment wont hurt 😊

I visited this place for Nargile and a cup of tea,
The Nargile was nice and full of flavour,
The tea was very nice as well,

Outdoor covered seating is a very nice option in the great weather of Gaziantep,

I recommend this place of an afternoon relaxation with drinks and Nargile
