Nice hotel on beautifully designed, spacious grounds. I really like the industrial style. We got an upgrade to the Pearl Bed Suite, which is very comfortable. The bathroom in particular has a cool design. The large balcony is the perfect place to sit and listen to the rain. The open-air bathtub perhaps offers a little too little privacy for the shy. Small minus in the room: lots of light switches in a confusing arrangement.

WOW! What an extraordinary experience! Hands down the best hotel I have ever stayed at. From the moment arriving here you are completely taken care of, the staff are truly incredible and so kind and service minded. Rooms are gorgeous and huge, the beds super comfy with the softest sheets, as you can expect from a 5-star hotel, and of course, what makes it even more special is the design and layout of this entire resort. There is a thought behind everything. The gardens are massive but oh so beautiful and well kept. The three pools are stunning, never got too crowded, and so are the restaurants. Breakfast was outstanding with something for every taste. Great location too with a short stroll to the beach. I can’t wait to come back here again in 2025 🥰

We visited on a very quiet lunch time early January. What a beautiful place and great design features. Lunch was absolutely delicious and served quickly as we were heading to the airport. My vegan burger was a hit. My husband had the salad with avocado and feta which was also delicious. The chicken satay also looked great. Well worth a visit!

So happy with our stay at the Slate, service was excellent, from the front desk to the pool staff, a different world. The Slate is a uniquely designed hotel and the touches throughout the resort really make the difference. Highly recommended if you are looking for a luxury resort in this area.

WOW, we had the best honeymoon stay at The Slate.

After a really poor experience at Avista Grande Karon despite positive reviews, we were a little sceptical in the lead up to driving to The Slate. But from check in to check out, we had an incredible experience.

Staff are super attentive, the breakfast spread is delectable and the grounds are stunning.

There are 3 pools (family, adult & quiet), all kept clean and easy to get a subbed (an issue we experienced at the previous hotel).

There are lots of activities including badminton, archery, tennis etc. The gym is also very modern and has all the equipment you would need for a great workout.

The beach is close by with some street food stalls and massage places, roughly 300 baht for a foot massage which is similar to other areas in Phuket/Bangkok.

Airport is only a 10min drive away.

Overall, I would highly recommend The Slate!

This place was incredible. My wife and Ai had the best time. The service, the rooms, the location, the breakfast, the adult only pools (there is a pool for kids too) the segregation of the kids from the adults section. Simply loved it! Thank you Slate team, we had such an amazing vacation!

I absolutely loved this hotel and would 100% recommend to anyone and will definitely be returning.

From arrival, the staff are so welcoming, they give you a drink and make you feel so special.We were lucky enough to be upgraded and the room was perfect with so much space.

There is a few pools in the hotel but we mainly stayed in the one with the swim up bar which I loved. There are a few activities to do ie, archery.

We only ate breakfast here but it was absolutely great too. For dinner we ate out every night and there are some great shops/restaurants in the area.

You pretty much walk straight out on to the beach and it’s a lovely beach with little crabs walking about which are no bother and very cute.

An extraordinary experience. Very special indeed. Remarkable design, artistic, absolutely original. The design team have excelled here. It’s stunning,all of it , room, restaurants, facilities, lobby it’s all first class top shelf.Don’t hesitate to book you won’t find another property same, similar it’s remarkable!

Very nice property, close to airport and lovely rooms with the view. And 2 mins walk from beach is added advantage with so many food options.

I must just say the service is really beyond my imaginations. I’ve left my passport in the safe ! And the retrieved them for me and send it to the airport ! I was so lucky !

The resort are great ! Especially family friendly ! Very near to the beach ! You can put your kid at the kids club with many activities and have a hassle free day at the spa !

Fantastic dining experience! Sun staff at rivet restaurant and his team were fabulous! The food was excellent and unique. Steak dish I ever had - cooked perfectly! Service was great and very kind.

An original, avant-garde and beautiful hotel in a lovely and convenient location close to the beach and airport in northern Phuket. The attention to detail at The Slate is extraordinary and the staff are courteous, welcoming, friendly and helpful. It is a truly luxurious and unusual hotel which pays homage to the area's tin mining past. As for the rooms? Spacious, quirky, comfortable, lavish. The breakfast buffet? Bounteous, various, delicious. The pools? Gorgeous. Black Ginger (restaurant) offers a memorable dining experience – you are taken there on a barge, very cool.

Simply the best - I do not often write that in a review!

We are still here after extending our 2 night stay to 1 week. Came to Phuket for New Year 2024 celebrations and boy, did we choose correctly.

The Slate is one of the best managed, best staffed, beautifully decorated and well maintained facilities offering world class F&B at each of their restaurants and bars. We travel frequently and this is probably one of the best all-around hotels we've ever stayed at.

Travelling with our daughter; there are great activities and free non motorised watersports, kayak, paddle board, bike hire etc etc here. As well as an extensive daily kids club with a plethora of entertainment options (some of which are free). A few examples such as kids boxing, soccer, tie dye, badminton, cookie making, pizza making, zorbing....the list goes on. Note: kids under 14 get their own pool (Lagoon Pool) to contain them!

We came for the New Year Masquerade Gala Party and....it was outside....and, as can happen in Thailand...it rained all night off and on. This meant front of house staff were all standing drenched having to serve each table drinks. Nonetheless, for the staff here at The Slate "the show must go on". The staff never openly moaned, groaned or looked deturbed. What an amazing bunch of people, an asset to the hotel!

Make sure to visit the beach during the day and night to help support local beach and street food vendors. All very high quality and reasonably priced. Beach is very close to hotel. There is also a small mini mart about 2 minutes walk from hotel grounds which gives you everything you need and more.

The hotel and grounds set the scene for such a relaxing vacation, the food transports you and ellevates your pallate but its the staff who make you feel special!

Place is great. Location is 💯 good. Next to the beach with food trucks lined up. Food too. Though the waiting time for the food to be served is quite long. Overall, it was an amazing stay.

Wow! Beautiful stylish hotel with friendly staff, great food, amazing amenities, cool activities for kids as well as adults, convenient location - short drive to the airport, beach and plenty of local restaurants are just behind the hotel. Lot of mosquitoes everywhere.

Exceptional stay at The Slate. The suite was very spacious and well maintained. The service has the highlight of our trip, our personal butler joinable on WhatsApp and everyone at the resort was super friendly and they’ve accommodated any small request we had in a timely manner. The restaurants and facilities are also great, the hotel is surrounded by large gardens too, making it a perfect place to stay all day long.

Feedback on small things that could be improved:
- Mattress were very soft, medium firm may fit more of your guest preferences (though pillow firmness was customizable)
- Swimming pools were, strangely, a bit too hot. With the temperature outside, a bit colder water would refresh more.

It’s my 3rd time in The Slate and I feel like I have to give a review here. It is absolutely amazing! Kudos to the hotel to maintain the service quality throughout all my visits before and after Covid.
The team pay attention to all details that make this place exceptional: welcome flower, mosquito repellent in room, comfy slippers, beach bags and soooo many complimentary activities (archery, SUP, Muay Thai, etc).
It’s a hidden gem for me and I hope it continue to be excellent as it is. Will come back soon.

Just incredible! Words cannot express how magical this place is. I stayed in both the Bensley and the Villa and literally you can stay here the whole time on this resort and relax and rejuvenate. The villa is worth it if you want spa services, a steam, sauna, and pool to yourself. I, otherwise, suggest the Bensley! Be aware there are quite a bit of stairs to the Bensley property as there are two stories. Food is wonderful here, as are the drinks. The build of this place is art! Reen, our butler for both parties was phenomenal! Absolutely incredible. The staff are ready to serve! What a treat to have the wonderful estate like villas and a butler like Reen! The location is great to go into Phuket and if you get a butler property like Reen, he will not steer you wrong when it comes to dining outside, and activities and set everything up! Gloriousness, a top notch vacation. I am an adult only kind of person and though families can come, they create space for those who seek adult only and quiet.

Don't hesitate! 5 star property and I'm very picky!

I'm just a little disappointed with our first room, Pearl Suite has an aircond problem they can't repair. Then they upgrade to double bedroom, which are not romantic.
