Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach

I do not write reviews and this resort prompted me to write one. This is probably the best location in Phuket if you are looking for a peaceful vacation with family. The ocean is shallow here and there are free kayaks and paddle boards to rent for hotel occupants. At low tide you can walk to the other side of the ocean for a breathtaking sunset. The morning breakfast is incredible and the 3 other restaurants on the property are also amazing! We drove all through the rest of Phuket and the city was pretty much slammed with tourists. This place felt quite and peaceful through our entire stay. Very close to the airport. Staff members are also very helpful. Thoroughly impressed, highly recommended. A little pricy but well worth the money.

Hands down the best Marriott property I’ve stayed at! The staff was amazing, service great and the food was amazing. The Andaman restaurant has great Thai food.
The hotel is located close to the airport but a little far from other attractions like Pa Tong and the Big Buddha. Advisable to rent a car when staying here to travel.

The hotel itself is really great with a fantastic pool and beautiful views. Breakfast selection is superb but restaurant options can be limited, however still decent.

Initially we had a pretty average room located a bit far from the pool so decided to upgrade to one with a private garden and direct pool access.

The beach is not for swimming but perfect for long sunset walks in shallow water. You can walk for 15 minutes to the town center but it can be very dark to walk back via the beach but doable. There are also 2 shuttle buses a day going during the daytime.

Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Phuket as the overall hotel quality is very pleasant and nicer than another Marriot chain we stayed at.

The hotel itself is stunning, super clean and the staff are really friendly.

Gluten free breakfast options are available as well as in all of the restaurants (you just need to ask as the menu isn’t marked) and the standard of food is very good.

A very special thanks goes to Jan, Ochim and Kit who set up our private beach dinner which was incredibly special. It is a moment we will never forget. Jan is probably one of the best servers we have ever met and nothing was too much trouble. Her English is also very good.

We are really pleased that we chose this resort for our honeymoon and hope we get to return some day.

Great stay for the last 7 nights. Loved the fact that they have a kids club included in the price of your stay. Great place for the kids to stay cool during the hottest part of the day. Camp fires and professional musicians every Mon, Wed, and Fri. Great breakfast every day that was also included in our stay. Loved the service and the people there.

From the day 1 , Mr JJ has welcome me & my family with full of sincerity & big heart . Since i arrived to hotel around 9.30 am , he helps me with early checkin arrangement & while my self & family enjoying welcome drink & beautiful view from lobby . He also arrange for us fo late checked out since our flight on the late evening. What a fantastic service !!

From the concierge, front office , security guard , staff at the pool, beach , housekeeping & restaurant are very polite & friendly . All of the staff are well trained & treat guest profesionally . Everyone always smile & keep saying “ sawadikaa”

Sunset ritual & marshmallow activities is AMAZING !! . This makes this hotels diffrents then others , kids enjoy so much .
Although the beach is low tide , but the beach facilities, white sand & cleanliness at the entire resort overcome everything.

As frequent traveller & inflluencer , i would spread the word & sharing my experience about this wonderful resort. For sure i will comeback very soon. No word to describe how my self & family enjoy the stay at this wonderful resort .

What a special resort hotel. The property is very private, very secluded, you are about 45 minutes from the city, night life areas, but if you want peace and quiet, and space to decompress. This is your spot.
The restaurants are good and there is a good selection to choose from. Enjoy the drink specials. The pool is hypnotic and amazing.

Perfect stay and getaway! Clean and comfortable! Direct access with the pool. The pool adjacent to the room access is not too deep, just 0.9m and perfect for the young ones. Just 10 minutes drive to the airport. Private location, quiet and peaceful. Check in and check out was less than 5 minutes. Came across a lot of friendly staff across the hotel from the desk, F&B, housekeeping and more. A great hospitality indeed. The morning breakfast was awesome. Plenty of selection and different menu daily. Not boring. Enjoyed the marshmallow bbq and cocktail followed by guitar singing at the beach. Enjoyed the food in the Andaman and Big Fish restaurant at night.
My family enjoyed the resort a lot and definitely looking forward to return in the near future! Keep up the great work Marriot Nai Yang!

My college age daughter was traveling to Thailand with a girlfriend following a semester abroad in Australia. She was primarily planning on backpacking, however all her luggage and gear was lost on the flight to Phuket. She arrived with literally nothing, including her medications. The first few nights she was staying at a cheap hotel near the airport, waiting for her luggage, but no one spoke English, she did not feel safe and she had no idea of where to go to try to get her medication and some clothes. I told her, let me see if there is a Marriott in your area, I know they will help you. I booked her two nights at this hotel and called the front desk, to tell them the situation. They said on the phone, don't worry mama, send them over here, and we will take care of them. And boy did they. They gave them early check in as they were in desperate need of a shower. They helped them call local pharmacies to track down and get my daughter's medicine. They took them in a shuttle to go get some basic clothes and supplies. I am a die hard Marriott customer, and this is why. They always have excellent customer service, but the staff here went above and beyond, and I will be forever grateful. Special shout out to Richard Win, who took the girls under his wing and went way above and beyond by helping my daughter track down her meds. She said he was the kindness person she had ever met. Everyone told the girls how kind the people are in Thailand and the staff here was a perfect example. Thank you!!!!! - One very relieved and grateful mama

Been to a lot of Marriott's and the service here is truly special. The staff is attentive to your needs, and they really make you feel at home. The hotel itself is really nice, I love the rooms, and the villas are a 10/10. The location of the hotel is far from the city, but it is extremely peaceful, which is exactly what I wanted. The food at the hotel is decent, but it does vary depending on which chef cooks that day. Andaman Kitchen and Big Fish are the big ones, but there is also Mama's Kitchen which I would say had the best food (small menu though!). Overall, I loved my stay here, and I honestly would come back just for the staff. I was sad having to say bye, but I have a feeling I'll be back!

Quite and peaceful high standard of Marriott hotel. It took just 15-20 minutes from the airport.
Loving the view in the evening. There is a nice activity in the evening which is free mash mellow and magarita on the beach with acoustic live band around firewood. Breakfast is good too. Pool access room is recommended.

I loved every moment of my stay! This service! The staff all the team is extremely and genuinely polite, very authentic. Nene from the front desk is a gem. She explained everything about the resort and always willing to help and share her suggestions regarding Phuket.
I was lucky to meet the breakfast chef who with the host were there for you to show you the signature dishes and talk to you about your preferences. They made you try and explore all the wonderful Thai food.
The hotel has 3 restaurants and we tried 2 and the food was 11/10 and again the wonderful and attentive service from the staff, 5* hospitality.
The room super clean, very well maintained.
Housekeeping team also great job with the cleaning and refreshing the room, seeing the details. The Thai touch of design and vibe was there so super nice! Swimming pool viewing the sea and the beach access. I cannot recommend this hotel more. I hope I will come back soon!

A beautiful private beach hotel, quiet and has excellent service. Hotel facilities and room are clean and well maintenance. Beach is widely, just be careful of sand insects, they’re pretty small and painfully bite, you could have allergy to it!

The room is neat and clean! We booked Standard room but unexpectedly they upgraded us to Pool view! This hotel has direct accessible to the beach.

It rained many times a day due to the raining season, but the overall experience staying in the hotel and the beach was awesome.

This was a very nice and well priced hotel. The food here was really restaurant quality a step above many hotels restaurants in the continental U.S. The breakfast buffet here was amazing with eggs Benedict made to order and even an open kitchen where you can see many kitchen staff preparing items fresh for the buffet. This hotel also has free paddle boards and a large infinity pool that spans the property. Check in was an amazing experience with cold towels and a welcome drink and even a golf cart to my room.

We got amazing experiences in this resort and enjoyed everything, from the best buffet breakfast with a wide variety tailor made based on our requests to great swimming pools for both kids and adults. The service is top notch and everyone are really welcoming, made us feel at home. Special thanks to Nargiz who supported us on our stay when we got a minor issue with bed arrangement due to our personal circumtances. We will definitely come back again!

Driving up to the resort, one could be forgiven for mistaking the area for the countryside. If you want quiet and seclusion, Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa Nai Yang Beach has it in spades. I was looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation away from the crowds; this resort and neighboring Nai Yang Town provided just that. If you want more to do, then best to stay in South Phuket instead.

I think the best thing about this resort, besides its layout and beachfront location, is the staff. Everyone was so exceedingly friendly and welcoming, from check-in to check-out, greeting you every single time they see you. When you meet people like Richard, Berdy, J-Ro, Billy, Nil, Bo, Bank etc., it becomes evident that they enjoy working here and take pride in their work. That’s a sign of a great employer.

The main pool is to-die-for and it makes for some great photos. They just need to enforce the non-smoking policy around the pool area better so that everyone can enjoy it. The waves at the beach come right up to the resort at high tide and retreat 50 m back at low tide. It is nice to look at but main Nai Yang Beach where the town is is better for swimming and other water activities.

One thing that they could have mentioned on check-in is the oil spill that affected the Northern beaches including Nai Yang Beach in early August. Even though there was a clean-up effort, there are still remnants of the oil in less trodden areas on the beach. I got some on my white sandals and the staff were very helpful in removing the residue as best they could.

Loved our last stay here. Kids club is superb. Pools are lovely. Food at big fish is good too. We especially love the fireplace by the beach to roast marshmallows. Will be back!

I wish I could’ve spent more days here than Merlin Beach. This Marriott resort has much higher quality of staff, service, food, beach, swimming pools and breakfast. The beach is particular in that you’ll have to walk long distance to be in the water but that’s exactly where the fun part is. The sands are white, fine and agreeable. The plants are as usually beautifully done around the resort and automatically you feel zen inside. We’ve got the villa and it was magic. I cannot recommend more of this hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at Marriott. I stayed there for 3 days and it was the highlight of my Thailand trip. The private beach, the incredible pool and the best things the restaurants. Trust me this place serves one of the best foods in the whole of Thailand, I got to try various cuisines but what stood out for me was their Andaman Kitchen, which offers an excellent choice in both buffet and ala carte. I got a chance to speak to their head chef Mr. North, who is a very humble guy and made sure he customised the taste to our Indian palette. He in-fact went out of his way to offer us some specialty Indian dishes which were not even there in the Menu. I would highly recommend this hotel and specially their Andaman Kitchen. Keep up the good work guys!
