Had an amazing day here I would highly recommend. This is a very ethical sanctuary an the elephant are happy an safe . You are kept safe an educated an get to see all the elephants safely and respectfully . They really need public support to continue there great work . If you do a half day tour you get a really tasty buffet style breakfast an lunch and they also have nice clean toilets . The guides were full of knowledge and really helpful

This was an amazing experience, as the elephants are left to roam in the 30 acres of jungle. You have the opportunity to feed them and get close, but it's not too invasive. We also had a beautiful lunch included with our tour.

I wasn't sure what to expect and my expectations were exceeded. This sanctuary is very professional and the way they handle the guests with dignity and respect yet professionally was very impressive.
Breakfast and lunch again exceeded my expectations and the tour was informative and interesting. I like the way that the elephants are respected You are not allowed to get too close, You are not allowed to bath them, touch them just how it should be and the elephants are free to roam in 30 acres of grounds all coming from poor backgrounds they seem very happy and well cared for.

This was the best part of my holiday to Thailand. I loved every minute!
I researched ethical elephant sanctuaries before I went and took advice from The Responsible Traveller website.
This visit was well organised and professional from beginning to end.
It was not cheap - approx £65- but was well worth the money. The price included return transfer from the office to the sanctuary, free snacks and drinks on arrival, lockers for big bags, a small group guide around the sanctuary where we could get close to the elephants and a free meal at the end which was a great surprise and absolutely delicious. The highlight for me was being able to feed an elephant - which was also well organised and responsible.
The facilities were impeccable and super clean.
Well done to all the staff at the sanctuary.

Very informative and respectful sanctuary. The guides are very interesting. The elephants get to roam freely in a large space, and bath as they want, without the stress of the crowd. You do get to offer them snacks, and to approach them in small groups. It's the perfect mix between a respectful and close experience with the elephants.
Very cool bonus : breakfast and lunch are very good ! The staff is very professional and nice.

Great experience, elephants are treated well and you get to see natural behaviour with a knowledgeable and respectful tour guide. Plus you get to feed elephants at a point which is fun and really enjoyable!

The staff are all really friendly and can't do enough to help. The shop has lots of good products and part of the money goes to helping sick and hurt elephants in the sanctuary and ones they try and rescue.

Absolutely amazing experience. The shelter for the elephants saved from logging and tourist industries across Thailand. We observed the animals strolling around the forest, bathing in little ponds that are fed by the waterfall waters from a nearby National Park. We have opted for the full day trip and the day absolutely flew by! The money that you will pay for the tickets is a donation to the sanctuary so by visiting the PES you are ensuring that more animals can be rescued and cared for. Absolutely worth visiting!

The best and most ethical sanctuary in Phuket , the elephants are rescued from the logging industry and riding camps mostly where they purchase older elephants to give them a good home to allow them to live a life free of torture and no being exploited . The elephants are on a 30 acre property with lush green forestry , the closest you will get us feeding them behind a fence . The guides will talk to you about their personalities and history of each elephant as you go round the sanctuary . They then provided an excellent buffet for dinner as well as a buffet for breakfast . Excellent value for money and happy to know the animals are looked after well.

Only elephant sanctuary to consider. 100% ethical. No forcing elephants to bath with you. You can see them really close. Touch them if elephant let you and feed them. Real sanctuary where elephants are safe and free. Beautiful experience. Food also delicious. Guide really informative and really interesting. Recommend with my all heart. More places like this! Spread awareness! No more hurting animals for tourism

Loved our time at the Phuket elephant sanctuary. Staff was so kind and thoughtful. We booked our morning experience through Viator and it was seamless. We were picked up at our hotel and didn’t have to wait once we arrived. we were able to feed the elephants, get up close to them and their natural habitat, and also use the elevated walkway to view them from above. After that, we had lunch, which was provided. The staff was so kind to even accommodate for my daughter who has a tree nut allergy. Everything was very reasonably priced (we are from the United States). I would highly recommend this, especially for families.

we had an absolutely wonderful time at the elephant sanctuary, the tour was extremely well organized, from hotel pickup, the engaging presentation, the information from our tour guide — all the way to the super tasty buffet. we got to meet so many elephants, most of them were so friendly and allowed us to be close. one of the highlits was feeding them ❤🐘 would highly recommend — plus: you get to support this project with your ticket 🙌

This sanctuary is amazing! They really treat the elephants with the utmost care and have various programmes for visitors. We opted for the canopy walk as it fitted our schedule perfectly. Highly recommend that you visit this place so that you can enjoy these wonderful creatures in their natural habitat and support the sanctuary to rescue more elephants!

A great morning spent learning about the elephants and the incredible work the sanctuary is doing to rescue elephants that are being tortured for tourist’s pleasure. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and passionate. The sanctuary has good visitor facilities and the buffet lunch was delicious with a good variety of food to enjoy. Highly recommend.

My only complaint is that our package included snacks and refreshments upon arrival but our pick up from our accommodation was late (organised by the sanctuary) so we arrived about 10 minutes late and were rushed into the tour without being offered toilet break, snacks or water. However, they did provide water once on the tour which was nice as it was so hot walking around.

One of the most spectacular places we visited on our honeymoon. The staff here are so obviously dedicated to these animals and make sure the visitors have the most meaningful experience while ensuring the elephants are respected. I highly recommend this sanctuary. I did a lot of research to ensure we visited a sanctuary with the highest ethical standards and Phuket Elephant Sanctuary was it. I highly recommend this sanctuary if you’re in Phuket as their proceeds are used to save more animals from the awful riding camps and logging industry that is so common in Thailand.

An amazing ethical experience. So glad I chose this elephant sanctuary instead of others. We did the canopy walk which was plenty time, we got free snacks and drinks too which was nice. Shout out to Thomas who was our tour guide he was amazing, very knowledgeable and you knew he loved the elephants.

Thai government should support such places and stop the illegal elephant abuse for tourism. Beautiful place highly recommwnwd for each visitor to phukkey to support and buy tickets. You have close encounters and see elephants' happy rooming around. When you reach the office, they drive you in pickups to the base camp, which is not very far. Then, they will be distributed in the group to feed elephants and walk around and see them bathing . Sont fall for the ad. You swim or bathe with elephants. But the experience is so good and highly recommended. Please just support them and no other places like riffing elephants as they are tortured

This is the ONLY elephant sanctuary you should go to in Phuket. It is controlled, there are ZERO chains, riding, whipping, controlling or bathing of the elephants. Dedicated 100% to older elephants with disabilities or having been rescued from torture, logging camps, or tourist traps where they are overworked and harmed. There is a maximum amount of people allowed per day, book ahead and in advance; reservations mandatory. Kind friendly staff; each elephant has a minder/mahout to look after its needs without intruding. We were extremely impressed and are hoping more sanctuaries take this method to heart. You are not allowed to touch the elephants, and there is a very controlled feeding moment where if the elephant decides to touch you it’s ok. But people are not allowed to approach or touch elephants. Raised canopy allows people to watch but not touch or intrude. Awesome! Thank you for your help, PES 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Absolutely beautiful Sanctuary. The elephants are well looked after and free to roam. Well worth the money! It is one of the only ethical and sustainable elephant sanctuaries in Thailand.

You MUST go here if you’re in Phuket and do not support parks or tourist attractions where animal cruelty is involved!

I will be back again soon thank you for an amazing morning ☺
