A big airport serving a lot of flights to this dreamy exotic destination… Go rather earlier before your flight since there are quite some people at the passports control. Most of the stores are located after the security control. There are even stores that sell traditional Thai scarfs made of silk! They were so beautiful that we decided to buy 4 of them… There were automatic robots cleaning the floor and lush bougainvillea plants all over the entrance! Such a nice experience!

We wanted to thank the Airport assistance service for a wonderful experience delivered to our parents who both needed wheelchair assistance. The whole thing was so smooth from the plane to the taxi rank with just one person assigned to take care of one passenger. What a wonderful service! We had an opposite experience at a transit in another country and made us realise the different between the two airports.

Not enough places to buy food. Water was so expensive.

Very nice 🛫 . Custom and immigration staff is very co-operative. On the arrival visa was very fast. Just keep 2200 baht in cash per person, if possible fill the form in advance. Departure and arrival was very swift. Cabs from companies and tours are at the exit gate 1 both inside and outside. Forex and SIM card are available but it is preferred to take forex and sim or international roaming before travelling. Vat reimbursement counter is available nearby gate 15. Overall very good experience 🙂.

The most coldest airport ever, strong AC. 😶‍🌫

There are 2 lounges, Royal Orchid Thai Airways (no alc. drink) and The Coral (cocktail, beer, liquor etc.)

Nice airport with all the facilities that should be around including ATM and eateries like Burger King Subway Amazon and some local Thai cuisine and local souvenirs along with the ample space for sitting and charging your phone at the same time

One of the busiest airports I've visited, and it can be overwhelming. Thanks to the influx of tourists, the place is like a market. But I am glad that they renovated the airport to be much bigger to accommodate all these people.

The facilities are great, and the process from arriving to departure is also stress free. There is only not enough seating, especially when there are multiple Russian flights departing around the same time. Otherwise the airport would be a nice and peaceful place.

Food & Beverage prices are acceptable, but the staff look like they are overworked, so they don't really care about the customers. Take note of this, especially during peak hours.

Phuket Airport serves its purpose as a gateway to the tropical paradise of Phuket with efficiency and style. While it may have some minor shortcomings in terms of overcrowding during peak seasons, it remains a reliable and welcoming entry point to this stunning destination. The friendly staff and a good selection of facilities make it a positive part of any journey to Phuket.

In conclusion, Phuket International Airport is a vital link for travelers exploring this beautiful island in Thailand. Despite some minor drawbacks, it provides a generally pleasant experience, setting the stage for an unforgettable stay on the Pearl of the Andaman Sea✈🛵🚙🏝🌴🛫⛱

Phuket International Airport is an international airport serving the Phuket Province of Thailand. It is in the north of Phuket Island, 32 kilometres (20 miles) from the centre of Phuket City.

The airport plays a major role in Thailand's tourism industry, as Phuket Island is a popular resort destination. It is the third-busiest airport in Thailand in terms of passengers and freight volume, after Suvarnabhumi Airport and Don Mueang International Airport in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region.

Phuket is a favourite tourist destination in the region. International passengers mainly come from Asia Pacific and Europe.
The airport’s location is one of the most remarkable in Thailand, being directly behind Mai Khao Beach. During high season, approaching aircraft pass right over the beach just before they land.

On arriving at Phuket Airport's international terminal, you'll first have to pass through Immigration. While there are 15 counters here, the airport has a reputation for its long queues.

We suggest having your arrival and departure cards fully filled in and ready before landing. Also, be patient and consider going to the restroom before joining a queue.

The airport has lifts, toilets and telephones adapted to disabled persons' needs throughout.

When it comes to going home or continuing your travels, Phuket Airport is quite compact and very easy to navigate. This makes getting to your gate simpler, but it also means that there are fewer duty-free shops. For more choice, there's a large duty-free shopping mall near Phuket Town. You can purchase goods at tax-less prices there and collect them at the airport before boarding your flight. Restaurants and money exchanges are available in the Departures hall.

It's best to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before the departure time of an international flight or 1 hour before a domestic one. Given Phuket Airport's small size, you may be able to cut that down a little.

Facilities and Services:

• Shops and Duty free

Breathtaking views of the blue waters from the runway. Duty free shops have a lot of options and variety. Hassle free check in and immigration process for foreign traveler’s.

Modern airport with full amenities. Immigration is efficient. Announcements also comes in Russian language 🫢 However they keep changing our boarding gate. Please make sure to check boarding gate. Food is very expensive in transit area. Simple pad thai 150 baht.

First time I traveled with my wife out of India and while visiting Phuket Airport I am impressed there ground staff services how fast they help us to do the visa on arrival process and very helpful and humble. You don't feel you dealing in other country it's like they make us feel so welcoming right from stepping down from plane till going out through the exit gate.

Will like to visit again soon.

A good airport with good services. We had a quick walkthrough from till the exit. Had absolutely no issues. Quickly got our luggage and were out to enjoy the beautiful place.

A good experience at the airport.

Passengers pass the same security checks such as foto, fingerprinting etc. las they do in the US.
Except it is much, much faster than LAX and many other major airports in the US.
US airports need to hire more personnel!!!
That would be more convenient after a long intercontinental flight.

Phuket is very safe.
Fast, efficient, safe and courteous.

Small airport but very friendly, helpful and efficient service. Lines may be long but they clear shockingly quick. If you're departing from the airport... Once you clear security there are a couple small cafes and convenience stores so you can get something to eat before you board. On arrival to this airport ... there are signs showing the appropriate taxi rate to various parts of the island so you know what to expect from taxi and can book a taxi directly in the airport. Can also book tours or get money exchanged here. There are also several toilets just after you land (unlike some airports when you have to walk a mile for the first toilet).

The airports are all consistent with one theme and it is that the staff working there are customer oriented. We had a layover spanning several hours and came out pretty tired out. The airport staff made it extremely easy to locate our baggage. This is however, not as extravagant as the Don Meung airport.

You can get bus to old town for only 100 baht outside the domestic arrival terminal. The journey takes around 1 hour.

From Patong to the airport, the taxi cost 900 baht.
