Everything was fantastic. Especially the breakfast buffet. The whole resort and the staff is very kids friendly. The kids loved the water sliders and its convenient to walk to the beach, without crossing large roads.
We had something broken on the shower faucet twice and they repaired it within hours.

Absolutely loved our stay. We came with another family for 8 nights and stayed in a Pool room deluxe. The accommodation, location and food was amazing. The staff went absolutely overboard to make us and especially the kids welcome. We used all facilities. The pools were spectacular and the kids loved the use of kids club and teen lounge.
Being right on the beach it was an easy stroll to great local food and restaurants as well as fantastic local massage parlours. Make sure you turn right when you walk out on the beach to some of the best local Thai food we had. Couldn’t recommend the stay enough and will be back again.

An excellent resort with a great location especially when travelling with kids. Plenty of pools, proximity to the beach and all the restaurants along the beach. Everyone at the resort was very friendly and helpful. Renelyn was very helpful in the recption. The activity for the kids are brilliant, both kids club and teen lounge. A special thanks to Maja, Alva and Lemon for the enthusiasm making the vacation unforgettable. It’s our second stay at the resort, and we will be back.

Wonderful accommodation and very clean. Koy and staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, which made this resort perfect for our family. Our children loved the buffet breakfast and pool activities. 5 star service with a smile!

From the moment our large family of 16 set foot in the Sunwing Kamala Beach Hotel, we knew we were in for an exceptional stay. The hotel itself is a haven of tranquility, blending seamlessly with the stunning natural beauty of Kamala Beach. Our two-week stay was nothing short of spectacular, filled with unforgettable moments and impeccable service that catered to our every need.

What truly set this hotel apart was the extraordinary dining experience at Som's Kitchen. The culinary delights were a feast for the senses, offering a perfect blend of local flavors and international cuisine. The real stars, however, were the waiters - Fon, Tan, and Kwan. Their professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness were unparalleled. They not only knew our names and preferences but also went out of their way to make us feel at home.

The highlight of our stay was the celebration of my birthday. The staff at Som's Kitchen, led by Fon, Tan, and Kwan, organized a surprise that was nothing short of magical. From a beautifully decorated table to a custom menu, every detail was thoughtfully curated. I have taken sudio room. The rooms are spacious. Location next to kamala beach is very romantic. Awesome breakfast options. Hotel service is excellent.

We recently stayed here for 7 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. Great place for families and the many waterslides were a hit with the younger ones. Definitely recommend the place as we found the bedrooms space was also plentiful.

An absolutely amazing resort. This should be a 5 star resort. We booked a family suite and were upgraded to a pool access family suite. The rooms are really clean and all resort staff were really friendly and helpful. Location is great with direct access to the beachfront. The food at Som's kitchen was consistently delicious. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit Phuket. Only small gripe is that the beds are on the hard side.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this amazing hotel, and I must say that my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly and accommodating staff who went above and beyond to cater to our needs throughout our stay.

In addition to the fantastic food, we also loved spending time at the hotel's pools. There were so many to choose from, and each one offered a unique experience. Whether we wanted to relax in a quiet spot or splash around with the kids, there was a pool that fit the bill.

I also want to highlight the amazing beach access and the cleanliness of the hotel during my stay. The hotel's beach area was simply stunning, with crystal clear waters and soft sand. We enjoyed spending our days lounging on the beach chairs provided by the hotel and taking advantage of the water sports activities available.

Moreover, the hotel's cleaning standards were impeccable. Our room was spotless and always tidied up to the highest standards. The common areas, including the restaurants and the pool areas, were also consistently cleaned and maintained throughout the day.

Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable, and clean place to stay. With great beach access, fantastic staff, exceptional food, and a wide range of pools, this hotel has everything you could ask for in a vacation destination.

Wonderful resort at a good price. Food was good, lots of options for pools and not too crowded. Rooms were well thought out and comfy. Great access to the beach with reasonably priced options on the beach as well!

We stayed at the hotel for three nights, with 3 children in a family room. The hotel is excellent, in a location on Kamala Beach, a short walking distance from Carnival Magic Park. The service at the hotel is excellent, especially Mrs. Renelin, who assisted in any matter that was required with a smile. We will definitely return to the hotel.

We recently stayed at the Sunwing Kamala last minute, after having to promptly escape a Patong hotel (not a great experience!). We were highly recommended the Sunwing Kamala & it did not disappoint for the last 4 days of our holiday!. The hotel itself is fantastic. Spacious, modern, several pools (the water slides were a big hit with our kids!), great brekky, friendly staff, great location, beautiful beach. Walking distance to an array of beach front restaurants and shops. We stayed on the 4th Floor of Building 1. The room faced the pool and was such a lovely view. Rooms are spacious and very well maintained.
The only tiny criticism we had was the “kids club”. It was more of a kids play space. Kids couldn’t be signed in and left for a long period of time to be supervised. Parents had to stay to be with kids the whole time. They did have the option every few days for kids to attend solo for up to 1.5hrs (at a cost of 350 baht per child for the 1.5hrs). But this was only every few days. This was a bit surprising when every other family friendly resort in Thailand, offers a kids-club where children are supervised between 9am-6pm free of charge.
But as I said, this is the only criticism. Otherwise the resort was 10/10.
We would absolutely love to come back, but would need to take the kids club into consideration (just for times such as a parents massage, a kids free lunch or some shopping when it’s too hot for the kids to be walking for long periods).

The best place to stay in Kamala beach. Lots of pools beautiful rooms and a nice beach in Phuket. Must try a couple of days here.

Traveled June 2023 with 4 kids under 12 yrs old. Great family resort. Not really for couples. Adults only sister property (Sunwing Prime) is next door. In general, the rooms were 4-stars but he facilities were 5-stars. We had 2 x Royal Access Pool rooms (south building by canal) which were perfectly located and big, but could use a bit of TLC particularly in the bathrooms with wear and tear showing. The pools and facilities are top notch and provided endless fun for the entire family. 8 pools and 3 slides. Pool was warm but that could not be helped due to summer heat.

Staff were great! Special thanks to Renee and front office team who solved our small room problem. Service was quick and very friendly. Location perfect and Kamala offered everything anyone could need, however the public access pathways were in disarray still recovering from the Tsunami. Neighbouring sea canal was a bit questionable, but did not smell or attract insects (surprisingly). Local restaurants (5 minute walk) were all great.

Prices: Dinner for family of six = 1,500 baht. Massages = 300 baht for one hour. Taxi from hotel to Patong = 400 baht. Water sports were a bit pricey, but the beach and water was clean and warm. Kamala is definitely quieter than say Kata, Karon or Bang Tao (Laguna). Stay away from Patong unless you like crazy all the time. Food is delicious, don't be afraid to try the local Market they have on Monday and Fridays just outside the resort. Thailand rules! Forget Bali.

Tried sunwing bangtao first and then kamala Its a great family hotel with more than 6 different pools with slides and kids pool, its beach front but you have to walk from the hotel to the beach and no sunbeds on the beach but its fine. They offer massage near the beach as well Walking distance to restaurants and 7 eleven, many halal option available around the hotel The breakfast was fine with options for kids Will for sure stay again once in phuket But comparing sunwing kamala to bangtao i prefer bangtao
