Fin Koh Chang

Waw I had the best steak in a really long time !!
Especially that I am not a big fan of ordering meat because often disappointed.
Looking at previous reviews I took the risk to order the argentin tenderloin and was just amazing. Perfectly cooked (asked for medium), as well as vegetables and pepper sauce was also delicious.
About the waiting time we had the food in 40 min (3 people) so reasonable.
Very nice atmosphere with good live music.

One of the best restaurant here in Koh Chang!

Some of the front of house staff should learn more English though! Also please change the Hungarian Goulash on the menu, as i ordered and it was a beef stew not a goulash! But i give 5star as really good restaurant!

Also when i ate there they had live music!

As a Belgian living in Thailand i felt like being back in Belgium. Excellent, spot on food and service. I recommend the black mussels and flemisch beef stew. But our pork skewer and cheeseburger were delicious too. Prices are a little bit higher than other places but Fin's quality and size portion definitely justify them

Argentinian Tenderloin Steak 250 grams.
Served w/Herb Butter and mix vegetables
Ordered med rare, but it came out rare . They reflashed it, but still on the rarer side. Lucky the hot plate that it was served on , cooked it perfectly. Argentinian steak was tender and buttery. Amazing price point for this caliber of meat. Vegetable cooked al dente. Perfect crunch.

Wine Chilean Red Wine
Medium tannins. Light berries and hint of tartness.

Mango smoothie . Refreshing ending to the meal

Awesome live band at 20:00 hours. Classic oldies and requested

Eaten here on many occasions over last 3 visits to Koh Chang. The food is outstanding & live entertainment good. Excellent service & we will be back in Jan!

Really enjoyed the food and the music. I have been here a few times now while in koh Chang, lovely people working here it’s definitely a great place to go while in Kai bae.

The food here is awesome and friendly staff. During high season, the place would be crowded and pact. There is no parking lot for the place, better with motorcycles. Usually, there would be live music too.

What can I say
I live in Thailand and came to do some fact finding for when I get visitors
Koh Chang I have been before but generally white sand beach area - a change of scenery and we stumbled across FIN !
Great service and a nice restaurant ( disappointing they allow smoking inside !! Yuk - this is not the 1990’s)
Anyway- if you are hungry this is the place to go for sure, my burger was huge as was the wife’s Pork dish 👍
Possibly the best Western food I have eaten since moving here 6 yrs ago - I pretty much only eat Thai now as the western food is always poor if I’m honest - but not this place !
Loved it and will be back 👍
Meanwhile kick the smokers to the tables near the street ( I am an ex smoker so understand the need)
Also nice clean toilets 👍

I had gone for a second honeymoon to the beautiful island of Koh Chang in November 2022. We were at Koh Chang for 4 nights and went to Filou for 2 nights. This pretty much says how much we loved the place.

My wife and I have visited many countries and explored many islands. We have found bars in the remotest destinations and made them our hangout place. Filou comes in the top 5 for sure.

Let's review the place:-

1) Ambience:- The place is run by Australians. It has a surfers cafe kind of a vibe. The place has many tables and has seating near the bar. The bar is open and pretty busy. The place has a wonderful live band every evening from 9-11. We repeatedly went here for the band and their wide range of English songs. The place is usually filled up with Westerners and Rich Asians. It's a safe place to visit without worrying about anything

Drink:- We ordered a variety of cocktails and all were perfect. The pina colada is a must try. It is beautifully decorated and freshly served in a coconut. Prices are not cheap not expensive. They are reasonably priced

Food:- I am a 100% vegetarian and chances of finding good veg food in Thailand are like finding the YETI. To my shock (not even surprise) the veg food (more than the usual fries and garlic bread) was amazing. We ordered tons of food and nothing was average. Everything tasted superb. We ordered spring rolls, onion rings, Greek salads, nachos, Thai curry, pizza, bruschetta and the list goes on. The green Thai curry is a must probably the only place which will serve veg.

Service:- The team mainly consists of young energetic girls who are quick to tale your orders. However, the kitchen and bar is a bit slow. But again, whose in a rush on this beautiful island.

Worth mentioning:- By mistake I forgot to tell the waitress to not add meat in my nachos and she got meat and nachos. She happily replaced it without even charging me for the meat and nachos. It was a sweet gesture which I really appreciated.

Undoubtedly a must visit place. Do visit when in Koh Chang

An awesome spot for dinner and beers, complemented by perfectly on-point live music. While they offer a variety of dishes, the burgers and finger food come highly recommended. It's a vibrant atmosphere where every element, from the food to the tunes, creates a memorable dining experience. A must-visit for a fun, laid-back evening.

Place was crowded but not over crowded and the food and drinks are up there as one of the best places I've visited and the prices are really fair.
You can not go wrong with this place it's for all ages and people.
Friendly environment and staff are working around the clock to give you the best service and experience possible.
Defo worth the 5 stars.
Music is 80s when I was in there a lot familys and older people and at 9pm they have live music.

Nice place with live music ,food was good with big portions .
Band is on most nights and drinks were great as was the service ,they also let you bring your own wine for a corkage fee.

This place serve the one of the best pizza I've ever had! And it's pretty cheap.

Staff is nice and helpful.

Spark clean, air conditioned toilet.

The food is freshly made so it's gonna take about 15-30 minutes.

I came with a few friends for a casual birthday dinner and drinks and were so pleasantly surprised with the fun ambiance and the absolutely delicious food! Great open air restaurant with many food options to pick from, lovely staff, and love music! I ordered a fresh watermelon juice (and added vodka) with a Beef Roulade - soo yummy! Staff was very caring and my friends were all satisfied with their meals as well.

Left very happy and will definitely be back. Highly recommend.
