Beautiful, clean, sunbeds by the beach are sometimes scarce if you go to the beach later in the morning

Spent a week at Moracea in Jan and we were quite comfortable. Rooms are huge, well decorated and clean. The property is by the beach, which is not crowded at all and feels like a private one. Breakfast is decent and has a lot of variety. Is served by the beach which makes it more special. The property has a nice spa, pool and multiple bars. It is located 5-7 mins cab ride away from Khao Lak centre and 10-12 minutes from Bang Niang market. Plenty of TukTuk taxis outside the hotel waiting for passengers. We really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend Moracea to anyone wanting a quiet retreat in Khao Lak.

Lovely hotel, room (called Hibiscus) we had was great, large, stylish and tasteful, breakfast was good, open air lookjng over the beach front, which was nice and very clean, some people (🇩🇪) like to reserve the sun loungers from 7.30am bit thoughtless, see photos, one couple put towels on the sun lounger didn't see them until 3pm... unbelievable!
Bit hilly, few steps so if you're not in to walking or ha e health issues, think again, although they have a shuttle
Couple of good bars (Chang Bar) and restaurants (Gold Elephant) virtually opposite the hotel, short walk to other places

Just came back from a week at the Moracea in a Hibiscus Pool Access room. Prior to arriving some of the reviews about the hotel seeming a bit run down had me worried so I wanted to chime in. I also want to mention that I work in travel, & subsequently have had the opportunity to stay at some truly beautiful properties around the world.

This hotel absolutely holds its own. I think its important to emphasize that the vibe here is not a pristine, ultramodern concrete & marble box; its more like, hidden glamour slowly getting reabsorbed into the jungle that is surrounding it. It was lush & beautifully landscaped. The beach is MUCH nicer than it looks in pics & the rooms were beautiful, comfortable & well appointed.

The staff was incredibly kind, friendly and accommodating. Everyone we encountered gave us a smile and wave. Breakfast was great with lots of Western options as well as Thai food, which I loved! It is true that the prices at the restaurant onsite are a bit high relatively speaking, but the Andalay right down the beach is excellent as are the restaurants right across the street & a block to the left, or anything downtown which can be accessed via 5 minute 200 Baht taxi ride available directly outside the property.

It's definitely very quiet in the evenings - if you're looking for a party this might not be the property for you. If you want to have a couple drinks & then have a great sleep you'll love it here.

I honestly have no idea how anyone could find fault with this hotel unless they're determined to be miserable on holiday. Personally, I'd wholeheartedly recommend the Moracea to anyone heading to Khao Lak!

Absolutely gorgeous hotel with outstanding service, beautiful views, and a stunning room. The staff were all extremely professional and made us feel like royalty the minute we stepped foot on the property.

A breakfast buffet was included in our stay and it was delicious with so much variety - Thai food, Western options, great coffee, and more. Highly recommend. Lunch/dinner were great too and reasonably priced.

The spa was tranquil and perfect. Very nice and professional employees. Be mindful that you'll need to book any spa treatments in advance. We got two couples massages and they were lovely, and special touches such as having hibiscus tea and cold towels for you upon your arrival to the spa really made our experiences memorable.

The pools are gorgeous and clean. The beach was nice with a few boulders here and there. I also saw staff cleaning up trash any time it washed up on shore, so they're really doing their part to keep things nice.

Do note that the resort is somewhat hilly if you have mobility concerns, but the staff will shepherd you across the property if you ask. We had no issues walking up and down hills.

I look forward to returning the next time we are in Khao Lak!

I recommend you Moracea by Khao Lak Resort if you are ever thinking of going out to Similan islands or Surin islands! Only 15 mins from the piers! And 1:30 hours drive from Phuket international airport. This resort gave an outstanding hospitality for their 5 stars service, cleanliness, and comfort!

Nong Pop at the restaurant was so energetic throughout the breakfast service making sure all tables were cleaned. Breakfast options are catered to foreigners more than Thai people.

They have a little service car to pick you up and drop off at your bungalow. To be oceanfront is truly the best option! I loved that there were only 2 babies and 2 kids out of the whole resort. It made the vacation lesser noise. Which is nice.

Also, please remember to tip the team and the fire show guys in cash, it gets to them sooner and faster :)

Moracia Khaolak Resort - A beach resort with impressive Sino-Portuguese-style buildings

Moracia Khaolak Resort is a five-star beach resort located near Khaolak Bangniang Beach with a total of 190 rooms. Some hotel reservation sites classify it as a four-star class, but a five-star class is a little weak, and a four-star class is enough. The staff are all friendly.

The name Moracia is the name of the mulberry family, and there are many Moracia trees in the resort. The resort building is in the Sino-Portuguese-style and offers a glimpse of the Chinese design. The resort is surrounded by trees and gardens and has a good natural environment. There are many rocks on the beach, so the view is good.

Moracia Khao\lak Resort is a mountain in front and a sloping area around it, so the commercial district is not developed. Walk 600 meters from the hotel entrance in the direction of Takuapa (opposite to Phuket) and you'll find a crossing, and if you cross the road, you'll find 3-4 local restaurants. If you walk a kilometer in the direction of Takuapa, you will find the entrance area of Bangniang Beach, where the commercial district is well formed.

Fantastic place to stay, stunning beach and the staff are so nice and can't do enough for you.
Had to mark down the room as the first one we were shown was small and had a damp smell, so paid an extra £60 for an upgrade room, which was lovely with a sea view.

We booked the 'Romantic Beach Dinner' package without a stay in the hotel. It exceeded our expectations, we loved it! :)

We were received by a lovely waiter. He was our personal waiter the whole evening, helped out doing some photo-shoots down the beach and made us feel very welcome.

We were provided with a bottle of wine and about 5 bottles of water. The 4-course dinner was AMAZING. We were on a private part of the beach of the resort, far away from the actual 'normal' restaurant area. There was 1 other couple having the same dinner but there was at least 20 metres between us and them.

After our dinner we were invited to join the resort's beach fire show, which was the best we've seen over our 3 years in Thailand.

Overall, definitely worth the price. The staff was amazing, the food was great, the environment was beautiful and the romance level was through the roof.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with stunning, peaceful surroundings. Beautiful beach and pools, with a couple of great restaurants overlooking the sea just 5 minutes walk away. The staff are so friendly and attentive, nothing is too much for them. I can't fault this hotel at all. Great choice at breakfast but the only thing I would say is that the food at lunch and dinner could be a lot better, you can get much better Thai food at the local restaurants. Other than that, we had the best stay.

We have just returned from an amazing 2 week stay at The Moracea. We have loved every minute. From reception staff to the housekeepers, all staff deserve a mention, always cheerful and friendly, and hardworking.
We upgraded to a pool access room which was amazing, room big, well equipped, clean and comfortable.

A few steps and hills which was expected, but we managed them fine, (we are a couple in our very early 60s)
So thank you for an idyllic and amazing stay in a fantastic hotel in a fabulous area.

Beautiful resort built into a hillside, and if required they send a golf buggy or other transport to take you to the restaurant, beach or other places on site. We are both in our 70's but didn't need transport. We had a wonderful pool access room and the room was large and comfortable. Wonderful well kept gardens and great helpful staff.

Amazing location, fantastic staff ! Looking after us very nicely. We have been unlucky with some sickness from our last location and they have been so helpful in making us comfortable. Amazing beach and sunsets! ❤❤❤

Moracea was the perfect honeymoon destination for my wife and me, and I can't speak highly enough about this hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, and the rooms were not only spacious but also beautifully designed. The dining options, particularly breakfast, were excellent, and we were blown away by our room's access to the pool and the bar in the center of the pool. Overall, I would highly recommend Moracea to anyone looking for a fantastic vacation experience.

Moracea by Khao Lak Resort is one of the best resorts I've ever been to and IMHO it may be the best among many along Khao Lak beaches. We had 4 rooms for our family of 8 for two night stay. Each room is clean and well appointed with marble floor bathroom, spa-like. We suddenly felt transformed. Breakfast was served in a pavilion next to the beach. What a sight and sound! The food is delicious and included all kinds of coffee. Dinner was great, too. All staff of different posts are attentive and lovely. This resort has world class hospitality. My kids would love to go back and stay longer!

The resort is lovely, with nice size rooms. The beach is great for a swim, however the waves can get quite powerful.
There's a resident water monitor which is huge and lots of smaller ones if you're lucky to see them.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Quite often things will get lost in translation which can sometimes make it difficult however we found this to be all part of the experience. (Sometimes it was actually hilarious).
ING Fa, Tip, Twan, Note, Pop, N, Mac, Em and Fan all deserve special mention as they really made our holiday an even better experience with the happy demeanors and welcoming , can do attitude.
I highly recommend a stay here.

The Best hotel I've ever been!
The beach, The Pool, the Rooms and espacially the Staff! Beautiful located in between Dschungel Atmosphare. The City is just 10 minutes away. The Food and Drinks in the hotel are just perfekt.

A Paradise in Paradise.
Even the hotel was fully booked, you always find it quite. The bungalows at the poolside are absolutely beautiful, just 100ft from the beach. The stuff is beyond polite and the food fantastic. We'll definitely be back!!
