Black Cat Bar & Restaurant

I had dinner here back in 2021 and the food was soooo good, so I came back here again during my trip in 2024. Amazing as always. All dishes we ordered are amazing. I’ll definitely come back again if I stay in this area.

This restaurant is always very busy when we ride past so we decided to give it a try and were very happy we did.
The waiter WUT was excellent and very attentive and looked after our needs.
The food was fantastic and the food service was very quick. Entrees and mains were delicious and the desserts are amazing. Will definitely return again. Thank you

After reading some indifferent reviews I thought I'd give this restaurant a go. The restaurant is quite large inside with a bar area and lots of seating. There is no air-conditioning however there are lots of fans installed to keep the air circulating and the environment a comfortable one to sit and enjoy a meal. The menu is quite large with both French and Thai options. In the end I settled on Thai, ordering some spring rolls, red chicken curry and steamed rice. All the food was delicious and the service very attentive. I asked for the curry to be a little bit spicy and it was delivered to perfection. A bit of a zing however not even to drown out the lovely flavours. With the meal and two singha beers adding up to 510 Baht, I thought it was pretty good value and definitely worth checking out.

I would like to pass on my feedback with the reference of the Black cat restaurant. The good I consumed with my 7 dinners I had it in the restaurant was very fresh, delicious ,tasty. I really enjoyed testing the different Thai dishes ordered on the menu and being honest on my next trip to Phuket I will return to the restaurant and Not for the food only and for the friendly and smiling people working there along with the very approachable owner of the restaurant. Thank you once again for making my holiday unforgettable.

Food was not bad ,but a pasta was kind of dry , service is good atmosthere is good

My wife and I were so happy to discover this restaurant last Wednesday. We had a wonderful dinner. They also get a nismoking area which is nice as I try to reduce... the food were excellent and the price is correct for the very good quality. They made a mistake in my bill but it is ok they apologies for it. The place is nice.full of carnivore plants. And the food was just awesome. Thank you. Jo

Excellent service and food was amazing. Great bar for watching live sports F1 etc. Massive dinning area with a pool table. Staff were courteous and friendly. Merci Phillipe à très bientôt. 😀

We returned to the Black Cat on 12.03.24 after 10 years. We were happy that is was still there and open after Covid. The beef Tatare was very delicious and even the fries were great ( travelling in Asia now almost 4 months!!!) In the End, we used the free of charge in house back to Hotel Service which was available also 10 years ago. Can recommend Black Cat 100% 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Extremely tasty food, nice and welcoming staff, creative and good drinks at a more than reasonable price! I had the Green Curry and a Passion Fruit Mojito and I swear, I’ve never had a curry *that* well cooked and fresh, I am in love! If you’re looking for authentic, thai food - this is the place to go!
by the way: they’re even offering a transfer to our hotel, for free! We’ll definitely come back! :-)

Thanks to Andrew for recommending Black cat restaurant. This unique restaurant that beautifully blends French and local Thai cuisine. My husband savored every bite of the tenderloin he ordered, and my experience with the tom yum prawns was exceptional – undoubtedly one of the finest tom yum soups I've had in Thailand. An outstanding touch is the convenience of being picked up from our hotel and dropped back. A truly commendable overall experience! 👏

The best TUNA STEAK for a really good price. In general food is very good here, service is fast and friendly. Atmosphere is casual, good for lunch and chill dinner

Awesome food for great prices, huge selection of food, from Thai, Indian, American, and Italian. We were in Phuket for four nights, and ate here twice. They offer free transport to/from the restaurant, which is a huge perk (taxis are extremely expensive in this area).

Had the cheeseburger and fries, was the best burger I have had in Thailand. So delicious!!!! Good prices too

I have been coming to the Black Cat for over 20 years - despite the huge changes in the area this remains the best restaurant locally for its combination of friendly service, excellent food and good value for money. The menu is surprisingly broad, featuring Thai and Western food including many French/Belgian dishes. The pizzas are also not to be missed. Enjoy!

We used to go to this restaurant pre-covid quite often. We went along this evening and were delighted to find it still the same - perhaps even better. The owner Phillipe and his charming wife met and remembered us, he gave us his food recommendations which were first class. A most extensive menu of both Thai and International dishes. Lots of French influence. The food was delicious and the service very friendly and efficient. Can’t wait to go back.
