The place is 5* in every respect. The cappuccino is delicious and creamy. The lemonades were one of the tastiest and tastiest drinks of our life. Our waitress was very kind, but she did not speak English. But we solved it! The place is fascinating, worth walking around and looking around. You have to see the bathroom too, it's worth it! It is a great place to relax and enjoy the place.

Simply a must see. Perfect service with a small introduction to the history of the building. Best beer I have ever tasted. A proper history overload in this fascinating town. I can't wait to visit again one day.

Every now and then, if you’re lucky and persistent enough, you run across a place that is so unique, it worms its way into your brain and settles there forever. Such is the RUIN Bar in Banska Stiavnica, a piece of art located in a 500-year old former palace. The décor is incredible. Not to exaggerate, but I would rate this bar/restaurant in the top 1% of all places I’ve ever visited worldwide – and I’ve seen a few! I can’t comment on the food as we only stopped in for a couple drinks. The primary tap beer is Bakalar, a Czech pilsner from Rakovnik, one of the few remaining independent breweries in Czechia. It’s not as well-known as the larger corporate pilsner breweries, but it’s excellent. At Euro 2.40 for a half liter, I felt like I was stealing it. We left speechless and smiling. I can’t say enough about this place, other than I would go back to Slovakia just to have a few beers here. I would eat, too.

Very nice reconstruction of the old building in the centre of Banska Stiavnica with really beatiful and "creatively made" toilets. The offer is rich, we got meal in the peak time on Saturday in the august in 20 minutes. Cheese Encian with fries was tasty, rich cranberry jam was top👌🏻

Very nice staff with a great wine menu and loose leaf teas. The owner is very sweet and knowledgeable of the the buildings history, as well as city. The centuries old interior is quite spectacular and preserved in a way that stays true to its age but gives it new life. Highly recommend for an afternoon tea or a glass of wine at dusk. Definitely a place to visit during your stay.

Very Very nice bar! I had a coffee and it was very delicious! in front of the bar is a small watterfountain. The personal can speak english and are very friendly.
it is just a little bar with a few seats and tables, so maybe there is not much space.
