Visited this Masjid during my Hajj pilgrimage. Had a serene experience. The Mosque have been expanded to accommodate more than 400,000 Hajis, fully air conditioned, and accessible for wheelchair users, as well as is close to certain fast-food spots(al-baik, house of donuts etc) and had water filling stations located near it.

Masjid Al-Khaif, also known as the Mosque of the Tent, is a historic mosque in Mina, Saudi Arabia. It is located at the foot of a mountain in the south of Mina, close to the smallest Jamarat.
The mosque is one of the largest in the world, with a capacity to accommodate over 50,000 worshippers at a time. It is of great religious significance to Muslims. The mosque is named Al-Khaif because the word Khaif in Arabic means "what descends from the mountain and rises from the valley". It is famous for its prophetic memory, as the Prophet (PBUH) delivered a sermon in it during the farewell Hajj in Mina. The mosque is also known as the "Mosque of the Prophets". The Prophet (ﷺ) and numerous other Prophets before him performed salah at this spot.

An excellent piece of architecture built on a piece of land that holds a lot of value for all the Muslims around the world.
It is said it is located on the spot where Prophet Ismael AS was buried.
This is also claimed to be the place where Prophet Muhammad SAWW gave his Hajj Sermon.
The mosque only opens during Hajj season. It is a huge spacious mosque which can accommodate UpTo a claimed figure of 300,000 people at the same time.
The mosque is very cold and chilled as you would expect and has red colored carpeting inside it.
Overall a very good experience. Alhamdulillah

Masjid al-Khayf is a masjid whose virtues are proven in some Hadith. According to a traceable Hadith of Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه), the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Seventy Prophets prayed in Masjid al-Khayf.” [Majma‘uz-Zawahid]

Masjid al-Khayf is a masjid whose virtues are proven in some Hadith. According to a traceable Hadith of Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه), the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Seventy Prophets prayed in Masjid al-Khayf.” Yazeed bin Aswad (رضي الله عنه) says that when he performed Hajj with the Prophet (ﷺ), it was at the Masjid Khayf that he performed the Fajr salah with the Prophet (ﷺ). Abdur-Rahman bin Mu’adh (رضي الله عنه) reports that when the Prophet (ﷺ) delivered a sermon in Mina, he instructed the Muhajireen to set up camp in front of the Masjid al-Khayf and the Ansar to set up camp behind it. The rest of the Muslims were to camp behind them.

The Khaif Mosque stands majestically at the foot of the southern hill in Mina, Mecca City, not far from the place of Jumrah Ula. Al Khaif can be meaningful or have a meaning 'high place on earth' because it is located at the foot of Mount Shabih. At the time of Prophet Muhammad SAW built mosque and as the development of Islam continues to be done.

From ancient times, until the time of the Saudi Government has done a lot of refurbishment, and now includes the addition of entrances that are intended specifically for female pilgrims. Nearby is Saudi ministry of Haj and Umrah office.

🕋 🕌The experience of offering prayers at مسجد الخيف in the sacred region of Mina during Hajj is truly awe-inspiring. This mosque holds immense significance for the millions of Hajj pilgrims who converge here.

As we entered the mosque's serene confines, a deep sense of spirituality enveloped us. مسجد الخيف is not only a place of worship but also a symbol of unity. It serves as a reminder of the pivotal moments during Hajj when Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and his family faced trials of faith.

For pilgrims, this mosque marks the start of a significant journey, as it's from here that they proceed to the Jamarat to fulfill the stoning ritual. The bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood formed here among pilgrims from diverse backgrounds are a testament to the universality of Islam.

In the midst of the Hajj pilgrimage, مسجد الخيف stands as a beacon of faith, unity, and devotion. 🙏
