This is a significant structure for Muslims. Those who are performing Hajj are mandated to visit this location 3 days in a row and throw stones at the 03 Jamarah structures. Symbolising the denouncement of evil/satan.
The journey starts from a place called Muzadalifa where all Hajjis have to spend the night and set off towards Jamarah after Fazr prayers.

Big Jamarah (Al-jamrah al-aqabah) in Mecca is a significant and symbolic site during the annual Islamic pilgrimage of Hajj. Having visited this location during the Hajj season, I must say it's a remarkable experience.
Huge crowd of pilgrims gathered at Big Jamarah is a testament to the unity and devotion of Muslims from around the world. The atmosphere is charged with spirituality and a sense of purpose. The symbolic act of stoning the devil at this location is a powerful ritual, representing the rejection of evil and the achievement of faith.
The infrastructure and organization around Big Jamarah are impressive. The authorities have implemented crowd control measures to ensure the safety of the pilgrims, and the accessibility for all is commendable.

The Jamarat Bridge in Mina is a key site where the three Jamarat Pillars are targeted during the Hajj pilgrimage. The bridge, an innovative achievement of the Saudi Government, ensures safety and crowd control. Pilgrims throw pebbles at the pillars according to a schedule. The facility comprises four floors, is 80 meters wide, and has 12 entrances and exits, linked to pilgrim camps for convenience and reduced congestion.

Alhamdulillah successfully performed the stonning in the Big Jamarat in 11th and 12th Dhul Hijja which is part of rituals of Hajj. May Allah fullfill our wishes.

I was sad to accept the fact that as a Muslim we should be able to maintain cleanliness in the small things that we can do by my self. Please bring & dispose your stone's pocket after throwing a jumrah.

When he [Abraham] left Mina and was brought down to (the defile called) al-Aqaba, the Devilappeared to him at Stone-Heap of the Defile. Gabriel (Jibrayil) said to him: "Pelt him!" so Abraham threw seven stones at him so that he disappeared from him. Then he appeared to him at the Middle Stone-Heap. Gabriel said to him: "Pelt him!" so he pelted him with seven stones so that he disappeared from him. Then he appeared to him at the Little Stone-Heap. Gabriel said to him: "Pelt him!" so he pelted him with seven stones like the little stones for throwing with a sling. So the Devil withdrew from him

Saudi Hajj ministry have made alot of effort to make sure they can get 2million Hajjis visiting through in one day.
They have made the stoning area several levels high, and have a system which discretely divert the pathway to distribute the hajjis between the levels.
Amazingly well organised... as long as the general population dont try their own way.
Surprisingly spacious, compared to what i expected from news reports etc. They must have made extra effort with crowd control this year.
The experience was plesant (regardless of the spiritual meaning of the Jamarah).
Just make sure you dont try to rush and push through- there is no where to go and you will only cause harm to others. Go with the flow of the crowds, the Jamarah is not going to dissapear any time soon!

It's tremendously big and enough wide for pedestrians. Not bad traffic for pedestrians during hajj. It's best to go to the end corner to through stones rather than trying in the starting point.

The jamarat becomes crowded only during hajj time, 10 up to 13 Dhulhijjah. The Jumrah Al Aqabah being thrown firstly on 10 Dhulhijjah. The next 11, 12 and 13 will be being thrown after the Small and Center jamarats
