Located few kilometers away from Makkah. It one of the most scared mosques. It is opened only once in a year during hajj. It is very nicely built in a huge area. Since it is opened only once in a year you cannot do Waju as the bathroom and wazoo khana are closed. We offered two rakats nafils outside the door of the mosque.

Masjid-e-Nameera is the only mosque in Arafat. It operates only one day every year during Hajj. It is said to accomodate around 500,000 pilgrims at the same time. The size and grandeur of the mosque is just breathtaking. Maintenance crews have to inspect on motorbikes as walking around the mosque will take a very long time.

Fun fact about this mosque; a part of this mosque is outside the boundary of Arafat. As a result, the imam stands just inside the border to officiate the prayer so that the pilgrims are inside Arafat during the prayer.

Located in Waadi Urana, Masjid Nimrah is constructed where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) delivered the last sermon and led the congregational prayer.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) camped after reaching Arafat on 9th Dhul Hajj 10 AH during the Farewell Hajj. After resting for a while, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) got up at midday, sat on his camel and delivered the last sermon at Wadi Urana. Following this, he (PBUH) along with 100,000 companions, completed Hajj.

Soon after Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) finished addressing the Ummah, Allah (SWT) sent a revelation which said, “Today I have perfected your religion for you and completed My favour upon you, and I have chosen Islam; as your religion.” [Quran 5:3]

During the second century of Islam, Masjid Nimrah was built on the same place where the last sermon was delivered and the salah (prayer) was led by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Moreover, because Wadi Urana is located outside the boundaries of Arafat, that section of Masjid Nimrah is also outside its boundaries.

The masjid is closed through out the year, and only opens during the days of Hajj. Also the way towards the masjid is a bit tricky, as you need to go around the Arafat Ring Road to the masjid. The places for ablution are closed but although there are few carpets in the hall for offering Nawafil or Prayers.

You can find cute little cats, roaming in the courtyard of masjid. Plus in the evenings, during summers may find a lot of mosquitoes, recommend mosquito repellent in case if you are visiting in summers.

Information: Masjid Nimrah (Arabic: مسجد نمرة) is located in Waadi Urana. When the Prophet (ﷺ) was at Arafat on his farewell Hajj on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah 10 AH he camped here. After midday he delivered his famous sermon in the Urana Valley while seated on his camel, after which he led the salah. More than 100,000 Sahabah accompanied him on this Hajj.

Masjid al-Namirah is a mosque in Mecca in the Makkah Province of Saudi Arabia, where the Islamic prophet Muhammad ‎ﷺ stayed before delivering his last sermon in Arafat. It is one of the most important landmarks during the Hajj, as it is where the khutbas are delivered to pilgrims during the Day of Arafah

Some part of the Masjid Nimra is outside Arafat. This is because Prophet Muhammad ﷺ delivered a sermon at Wadi Urana which is outside the boundaries of Arafat. So naturally, when the mosque was built this fact was taken into account.

-The life of every Muslim is a sacred trust.
-Indeed everyone shall meet Allah and Allah shall deal with him according to his deeds.
-Return whatever goods to those who entrusted you.
-Do not hold dealings that involve interest. -Usury has been prohibited in Islam. One can get his capital back without earning interest on it.
-The devil shall astray one from the right path, therefore, beware of his evils. He is hopeless for leading you towards the wrong path in major things, yet he shall plan you to fall in his evil through minor and small things.
-Men have rights over their wives and so have women rights over their men. Be kind to women and treat them well if they give you all your due rights.
-The five pillars of Islam were recalled.
Everyone is equal, there is no racism in Islam. The only Muslim superior is the one who is more pious.
-All Muslims constitute a brotherhood.

Masjid Namirah is a significant mosque located on the plain of Arafat, which is located about 20 kilometers east of the city and in the valley of Arafat in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is also known as Masjid al-Wuquf or the "Mosque of Standing," as it is the place where Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) delivered his famous farewell sermon during his last pilgrimage in the year 632 CE.

The sermon is considered to be one of the most important addresses in Islamic history, as it summarized the core teachings of Islam and provided guidance for Muslims on how to live their lives.

During the farewell sermon, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized the importance of social justice, brotherhood, and the rights of women, among other key principles of Islam. The sermon is also significant because it marked the end of Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) prophethood and served as a reminder to Muslims of their responsibilities as believers.

For Muslims, Masjid Namirah is an important site of pilgrimage during the Hajj, the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca. It is where pilgrims spend the day of Arafat, which is considered the most important day of the Hajj. Muslims believe that standing in Arafat and praying at Masjid Namirah is a crucial aspect of the Hajj and can bring great spiritual rewards.

Every year, millions of Muslims make the pilgrimage to Mount Mercy in Arafat to perform the Hajj, one of the five pillars of Islam. The site is also known as Jabal al-Rahmah, which translates to "Mountain of Mercy."

Teachings of our Prophet SA we should not forget:👇

Unity and Brotherhood: Prophet Muhammad stressed the importance of unity and brotherhood among Muslims, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or social status. He said, "All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action."

Respect for Human Dignity: The Prophet emphasized the importance of treating every human being with respect and dignity. He said, "O People! Remember that your Lord is One. An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a black has no superiority over white, nor a white has any superiority over black, except by piety and good action."

Rights of Women: Prophet Muhammad spoke about the importance of respecting women's rights and treating them with kindness and justice. He said, "Fear Allah concerning women! Verily you have taken them on the security of Allah, and intercourse with them has been made lawful unto you by words of Allah."

Social Justice: The Prophet emphasized the importance of social justice and warned against oppression and injustice. He said, "Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things."

Guidance for Muslims: The Prophet reminded the Muslims of their duties and responsibilities and urged them to follow the teachings of Islam. He said, "O People! Just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust."

This Farewell Sermon is considered to be one of the most significant speeches in Islamic history, and its teachings are still relevant today.

A mosque that was built in Arafah where the Prophet, may peace and prayers be upon him, delivered a sermon for the last farewell Hajj. In Namirah Mosque, thousands of pilgrims pray zuhr and asr prayers on the day of Arafah. It is located to the west of Arafah. The western part of the Mosque is located in Wadi ‘Arnah, which is a valley of Makkah Al-Mukarramah where the Prophet prohibited pilgrims from standing there because it is not a part of Arafat, but it is very close thereto. Namirah Mosque is known in many books by several other names, such as the Mosque of the Prophet Ibrahim, Arafah Mosque, and Arnah Mosque.
