Velho Jack Barbershop

I booked the premium service (hair cut , beard cut and a glass of jack Daniel's) for my husband , the service was amazing , the barber is talented and listens to your needs. The shop is lovely , the vibe is great , a great experience.

Popped in for a haircut and beard trim while in Porto on holiday and had an excellent experience with Velho Jack.

Ricardo looked after me who spoke fluent English (a bonus if you’re a tourist) and he managed to get me looking fresh for the next leg of my trip.
I cannot recommend these guys enough when in Porto.

As I am Dutch, it was extremely important for me to find an English speaking barber. And that worked, Ricardo speaks perfect English. It was a great experience. He is very professional, good at his job. In addition, he is very interested in his customer and puts you at ease. Highly recommended!

Get yourself down to Old Jack’s when in Porto. Ricardo performed two smashing jobs on me; hair and beard trim first time, premium service of hair, hot towels, beard and JD the second time. Thoroughly relaxing. Ricardo is a great guy, I enjoyed chit chatting with him. I doubt I’ll find a better barber on my European trip (it’s been a struggle so far). Long live Old Jack!

This place is really more like a mini-holiday than a barber shop. Upon my arrival I was greeted with a glass of Jack Daniel's and chatted with Carolina, my barber, for a bit. I opted for the premium package which includes the whiskey, haircut, and shave with hot towel. It's a very old-school place, dating back over 80 years. I ended up looking great and feeling great. Carolina is at only at that location one day a week, so book ahead. And due to the size of the business and how busy the area is I recommend booking online.

Kadu is excellent and talented with it, I’ll deffo gonna be back anytime when I am in Porto, this place is fabulous and the guys are so friendly and treated me very well! Professional experience.
With little bit help, i ended up a good haircut.
Apparently my trimmer cuts 3 different theirs.
However, that gentleman put a great effort and patiently listened and corrected as my desired haircut. And my partner loved it, what can I ask more :)

Very friendly man. Had luck seeing as it was a walk-in, reservation might be recommended as during my cut he had to turn down two other walk-ins. Hair was cut great, probably the best it has ever been cut. Had a small chat and gave some good suggestions for food etc. Recommend it big time.

The best barber in Porto! I had my hair cut by Diogo the owner and it’s one of the best cuts I’ve ever had and I’m very particular. He won the award for best barber in Portugal 2020! Such a friendly and professional guy and spoke perfect English! Highly recommend for English speaking barber in Porto!

5/5 haircut at a very, very nice price. The barber managed to meet my exact description of my normal cut I get done in Denmark. He actually almost did it better, I think. On top of that he was very pleasant to talk to and we spoke about the city and other things. I can warmly recommend him.
