Fantastic shop retaining wooden panelling and fittings from days gone by because it's effectively a listed building and they can't be removed. The merchandise is top notch and very niche. Enjoy the shop window, Wooden shelves behind serving counter, staircase and original payment windows. If you are visiting the Harry Potter bookshop, don't forget this place. It's free and doesn't have a queue!

When you walk up to this two-story store, you'll notice a line of tourists waiting to see the grand staircase inside Livraria Lello. However, another beautiful staircase next door is inside Fernandes, Mattos & Ca.

When you walk in, you'll see it surrounded by wood tables of all types of gifts from ceramics to backpacks to clothes. Walk up the stairs to find art, household goods, and much more.

I bought my wife three teardrop-shaped plates from Portugal for 26 Euros.

Very nice and original place. It is an old style portuguese shop but with goods that may look like the Portuguese version of the famous Tiger chain. It is worthy a visit.

Very cool looking store with huge open spaces. The inside was very niche and the product selection quite varied.

Pretty sure this store is cooler than the famous library next door. All the items for purchase are amazing! I ended up splurging on some sunglasses and other perfect gift items

Amazing interior, big variety of of gadgets and intresting stuff.

Shop selling a range of vintage to new goods mainly for everyday use. I think the best thing are the very durable looking backpacks but they are an Austrian brand. Upstairs is A Vida Portuguesa which is another shop mainly things around the home but all brand new including condiments and cans of sardines.

They are good variety store where is located next to Livraria Lello.
They have calm and big space to see and buy their products.

You’re 100x better off spending here than queuing up to go to an overrated bookstore next door. Unfortunately they were closed but next time.

What a beautiful interior! Highly recommend to browse through the store for a souvenir. Even the bags are pretty 😄

Textile wholesale shop, since 1904, switched to souvenir shop after slow down in textile business in 2010. Smart business mind.

Preciosa tienda de productos portugueses en Oporto. El local es espectacular y conserva todo el sabor de antaño de lo que era la antigua fábrica y almacén de telas de las carmelitas. Productos curiosos, decoración, perfumería, etc. Perfecta para regalos con encanto.

Preciosa tienda con dos plantas, muy cerca d la librería Lelo, abrió en 1906 donde fue la primera tienda residente. Empezó como tienda de telas pero los
tiempos han cambiado y también los hábitos de compra de textiles. Manteniendo todo el entorno y la arquitectura de este antiguo edificio y su singular mobiliario, la tienda se ha convertido en un espacio mágico en el que cada rincón cuenta una historia. Todavía permanece en la esfera de los herederos de sus primeros dueños, por lo que se trata de una empresa familiar de 132 años , un logro que no está al alcance de todos.

Muy cerca de la librería Lello, merece la pena entrar.
Una antigua tienda de telas, que ha conservado todo su mobiliario y esplendor. Espectacular. Tiene varias plantas, con escaleras en madera. De película.
Si te dejan acceder al balcón de la fachada, tiene vistas muy chulas.
En la fachada conserva el nombre original de la tienda.

Lo encontramos de rebote al no querer hacer cola en la librería Lello y fue una gran sorpresa. Un local precioso para viajar en el tiempo a comienzos del siglo pasado. Visita obligada y gratuita 😜
