The only problem here is that everything looks delicious :)
Definitely my favorite breakfast-lunch place in Porto ! The concept is great, and fast. Staff is really nice and efficient and the menu has a lot of portuguese specialities ! Their sandwiches and toasts are tasty, and of course their Nata and others pastries.

We stopped by to take a quick look at their offerings after we went to the Mercado de Bolhao. Everything looked so good but it was too close to dinnertime, so we decided to come back the next morning for breakfast. The ordering system works similar to other cafes in Porto (not sure if it’s all of Portugal) but you get a card, pick what you want at the counter and they will bring it to your table. They add everything you order to the card, then you pay at the end. We ordered some bread, and pastries to share, and I had a ham and cheese toastie. Everything was great. The coffee was great too (and super cheap). I also ordered a pizza-looking item to go for later (which was massive) and it was still good even cold. If we had more time in Porto, I probably would have came here every morning for breakfast.

This place is great! Solid across the board. Pastries are consistently good, not overly sweet, flavour forward! I enjoy the chocolate honey cakes, and also that you can get mini versions of the buns and popular pastries. I even grabbed a slice of their 'pizza' one day for lunch. A sweeter dough but like a fantastic mix of ingredients and delicious... never mind only 3€. One of the nicest all around shops in Portugal. Highly recommend

This bakery is the love of my life, Venezuelan treats like freshly baked golfeados, cachitos, queso de mano, and all the amazing Portuguese goodies you can imagine. They have a great staff that get your order quick, the space in the back is cozy and you can come here everyday and try a different thing for an entire lifetime.

Great food, very cheap, sort of fast and waiter forgot a few things. Still recommend it though, great variety of traditional Portuguese food and waiter assists with what to choose.

Came for snack after walking thorough the market across the street. The beef sandwich was a winner and all the baked goods we ordered were worth a second visit. Building is also pretty and a nice place to sit and chat.

What a wonderful place. So easy to find.
Beautifully decorated and fantastic service.
Food looks wonderful, freshly made and the atmosphere is incredible.
Seats 60 to 70 when full.
If you have a sweet tooth love home cooked pastries and great coffee. The No.1 place to go.
On my walk on Saturday I found the shop busy but across the road is a fantastic covered market.
Look it up.

Porto has many amazing coffee/pastry shops such as Confeitaria. But this one has to be one of the best. I enjoyed the atmosphere which made me feel like a local. While enjoying the multitude of deserts with my friend a nice old lady interacted with us in Portuguese and for the next 30-40 min we became friends. Such good vibes.

Food : you have to try this meat with cheese mix that also has olives and resins. Gotta say I am not a big fan of raisins but this was so different and exceptional. The portion was also pretty big so it would be nice to share it so you can enjoy the multitude and variety of sweets which I definitely recommend.

Atmosphere: just simply exceptional and the prices are very low for the value you are getting.

Every bread we tried from here was so soft. Highly brioche croissant (both chocolate and original)

One good way to see if these “famous” pastry shops in Portugal are actually good is to see if there are Portuguese people around, here there is no doubt, our table was one of many with Portuguese families!!
The decoration is charming and traditional and according to the owners it hasn’t changed since it opened in 1896.
The cakes are delicious, this time I had “papos de anjo” (roughly translated as “angel’s double chin”), if you can handle super sweet desserts then try this one! It is made of egg yolks and sugar (as many other Portuguese desserts 😃) .
It is crowded, but the service is fairly quick, I didn’t have to wait to have table but I would imagine it happens sometimes
If you’re visiting Porto make sure to pass by and try one of the many delicious cakes

This is the oldest pastry shop in Porto. Sometime ‘oldest’ means ‘terrible because we are resting on our history’. Not here, we ordered several different pastries and each was amazing. It made us realised how bad the other pastries we’ve eaten in Porto are.

It was very busy though, so we did take away.

We visited this place twice when we were in Porto! I am in love with their Tigelinhas do Bolhao - make sure you try it if the server doesn't recommend it to you! We sat in the cafe area both times that is located in the back section. First time we went, it wasn't busy and there are open tables so we were able to sit down and a server promptly came to take our orders. Second time, it was extremely busy so we waited by the pastry case until we were seated by a server. The pastry were delicious and the coffee was solid. There are many sweet pastries to try, but do not forget to also order the savory pastries!

When you finish ordering, the server will place a card with a number on your table. Take that card to the cash register after eating to pay for your meal.

The service was fast and the pastries were delicious! We got the ham and cheese croissant, regular croissant, and some other small pastries! Everything tasted fresh and was very reasonably priced!

We discovered this place through a "10 things to do in Porto" blog and at first I was thinking to myself, yeah I'll go there at least once.

We came to Porto for 5 days and I have been here every single morning. The food is fresh (baked in-house) and you have a lot of options so that you don't even have to repeat what you're eating everyday - even though I would suggest you get the croissant daily. The other main thing is that it's pretty cheap; we (2 people) would spend 7€ and be stuffed until lunch.

The atmosphere is very nice as well. Honestly I can't think of a single reason why someone wouldn't like this place.

This was my favorite bakery during my stay in Porto. Because of its popularity, it can get very crowded. It is worth fighting the crowds.

Please do yourself a favor and go here EVERY SINGLE DAY YOU ARE IN PORTO! I am so sad that we only came here once while we were in Porto, it was honestly THE BEST pastel de Nata that I have EVER had in my life WOW (I literally have not stopped thinking about this for the last week). Everything else looked amazing too so do yourself a favor and check this place out. 10/10 will be back ASAP!
