Cafe Progresso

My family and I ended up stopping here after trying to find a place to eat. Originally, we were just getting a coffee, but I'm glad we stayed! They have a large selection of food and various brunch combos for you to try. I got the fruit pancakes, which also comes with a fruit parfait, a fresh fruit juice of the day, and a cappuccino. So much food. So delicious. My family got the omelette combo, which also comes with a fresh fruit juice, side salad, toast with jam, and a cappuccino. We were all satisfied and happy!

I also tried a cup of their single origin coffee. Both the coffee and the cappuccino was smooth and delicious.

We went here for lunch our second day in Porto. Amazing food: fresh and healthy. I had the Progresso Bowl, really nice! We had a table outside. Would definitely recommend this place!

(Review for coffee only) : finally a perfect flat white in Portugal!! I've travelled a lot of wonderful Portugal and there ain't much of a third wave coffee scene, I just don't understand why more fresh milk isn't served!! Cafe Progresso has a great interior, hipster vibe and an extensive espresso and brewed coffee menu. Whether you're after a light filter coffee or a punchy double espresso, they'll sort you out. Enjoyed being able to select what bean to use and perfect milk texturing.

Yet another very nice and affordable place for a breakfast. Staff is English-speaking. They have one big room inside as well as a little space outside the cafe. Both omelette and the scrambled eggs were tasty and fulfilling.

Great coffee, awesome ambiance inside and out, and they even have to-go option! Note it's cash only and can have a long wait.

The breakfast here was wonderful! We had a nice quiet breakfast that tasted wonderful. The coffee and orange juice were very good. The staff were nice as well!

While being one of the oldest cafés in the city, the interior and overall ambience gives you the feeling you are in a modern, hip & trendy place. Great hot chocolate and pastry, too. One of the staff who served me, however, was the most confused waiter I've ever seen; doesn't matter because he was friendly and funny.

Fantastic coffee shop in Porto! They offer different brewing methods and have a handful of select single origins. If you’re a coffee lover this place will not disappoint. The espresso was magical. Very impressive plus the croissants are delicious.

Really enjoyed this cozy café with great coffee/ coffee drinks made properly, and alternative milks are available. We had breakfast there four mornings, all good. Some of the lesser reviews are noted- rock hard avocado slices, one morning coffee could have been a little warmer. But overall a great café and we’ll be back! PS- very friendly and helpful staff!

Very good coffee, good central American altitud coffees, from. El Salvador and Honduras. Nice medium roast, which is very hard to find in Portugal. If you are a serious coffee lover and love the taste of the fruit is the place to have it

The brunch here was amazing! They serve specialty coffee roasted in house, the single origin flat white was perfectly made. Staff were really friendly and spoke English which was nice.

Best cafe/ lunch spot in Porto in my opinion. Perfect for vegetarians/vegans too. We loved it - try the vegetable soup for 1 euro 50.

Awesome place. Great coffee, great food. Variety. Beautiful decoration, good music, nice staff. My breakfast spot for the rest of my days in Porto!
