Must visit in Porto.
Beautiful store and museum, soaps smell sooo good.
I loved perfume and candles.
But we decided to order everything online. The price online is 15% less plus they give 20% discount on the first purchase. If you live in Europe you can order online.
Or buy in Porto Airport, it's also 15% cheaper.

Finding this shop is possibly the highlight of my trip to Porto. It’s so gorgeous! The floor tiles are unbelievable and the large marble sink at the back of the shop is beyond beautiful. Then there is the soap. Absolutely stunning — so sophisticated and impeccably packaged and designed. And the woman, Maria, who help us was beyond fabulous. So gracious, so sweet, speaks perfect English and she clearly loves the products Claus Porto sells. We adore her and will probably go back and buy more things just because she was so charming and fun. A++++

As I entered the shop, I was greeted by an inviting display of soaps, hand creams, and other goodies. The staff kindly offered me the chance to try out the products with a complimentary handwash and cream. They were also open to filming and taking photos, adding to the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of the shop.

This is a shop my wife and 6 year old daughter wanted to visit after we saw it featured in a travel show. My wife wanted to visit because she needed more soaps. My daughter wanted to visit because she wanted to wash her hands in the huge sink. Walking into the store, my wife loved the environment. She said it was very relaxing and welcoming. We smelled the different scented soaps and my daughter was extremely vocal about the ones she liked and the ones that were “stinky”. Of course, it was her goal to wash her hands in the big sink so somehow she managed to get it done. The employees were extremely patient with her as they explained the best way to lather the soaps to wash hands. In the end, my daughter probably washed her hands longer than ever before because of that huge sink and her goal of washing her hands there. After we picked out some soaps for ourselves and for gifts, they also gave my daughter a tiny bar of soap with the scent she used to wash her hands. My daughter was so happy. When we returned to the hotel, the first thing she did was open the soap and washed her hands. She let me use the soap once, but then told me it was her soap and that I wasn’t to touch it. Kids. Yes, the price of the soaps is on the high side. However, the soap is really nice. My wife and my daughter love the soaps and I was happy with the service they provided. My wife also likes that the soap is more “hard” and not soft like some other natural soaps she purchases in Canada. Overall, the price I feel is worth it because of the unique scents, the experience in the shop trying each scent, and the service provided. Everything feels high end.

Went to Porto last year and purchased some of their products. Came back to Porto this year and this was a must stop shop. Their soaps are luxurious and very emollient. There are scents for each and every individual taste. This year I tried their eau de parfum, Le Parfum, after wearing it all day, I decided I had to return for another purchase.

There is an in-depth and interesting museum on site on the history of the company.

The staff are very professional, pleasant and very knowledgeable on all the products.

Never heard of this brand but immediately fell in love with the products. I tried a hand cream and left the store. But during the next 30 minutes the nice scent from my hands kept coming back and it was such a nice pleasant scent. I had to turn around and go back the store to buy it ( despite of a very high price tag 20e/50ml) ! The whole shopping experience was definitely top from Portuguese first And still one of the best soap manufacturer! The little history on display on the second floor explains a lot why their products are so successful.

I thoroughly enjoyed the shop! The gentleman who helped us was very friendly, the soap smelled divine, and they offer a variety of interesting tours, and even classes! They offer international shipping and have a few other stores, which I will most definitely be visiting again! It’s a little luxury nestled between bustling shops and tourists.

Easy to find location. The staff was very nice and helpful- especially since I am a tourist.
They even recommended a few scents that I may enjoy based on the other soaps I had in my hands. Plan to spend a few more minutes there than you expect just to smell everything.

One of the coolest shops in Porto! A little museum on the first floor, the interior design is absolutely amazing! And the soaps… 😍

I had a great sniffing experience. The staff was very nice and helpful. The products are very nice. I went in as a sceptic and walked out with a haul of soap and oil. I will be ordering more.

I loved my experience at Claus Porto! I was lucky to sign up for one of the various workshops they offer (mine had the topic of destillation) and had the best time ever. I think the ladies working there were knowledgable, fun and kind. It was a pleasure to learn more about destillation, the company philosophy as well as soaps and I would strongly recommend you to sign up for the workshops if possible to enrichen your Porto experience!

A MUST VISIT SHOP IN PORTO!!!

I heard about their upscale perfumes, soaps, and candles, and the shopping experience here was fantastic! First off, the sales associates are not pushy or pretentious. They will leave you alone and allow you to browse freely. There is also a mini museum upstairs where you can learn about their history and products.

Personally, I loved their SOAPS the most. In fact, I purchased 2 Chypre soaps ($14 each), a scent which I loooooved!!!
I wasn't particularly interested in their perfumes, candles, or hand creams. But to each their own; try for yourself.

This is a pricey brand, so expect to shell out some coin if you want souvenirs for yourself or loved ones.

The museum of soap is something very unusual but cool! They somehow turned washing hands into a ritual, big experience! You can actually try different soaps by washing your hands in a giant basin!! Amazing! And the soaps are great, of course.

Lovely old building with a contemporary renovation selling artisan hand made soaps and perfumes.
Runs free soapmaking classes most days.

My chic grandmother bought her soaps at Claus Porto, and now I purchase by shower gel and body lotions with them too. Amazing products with unusual fragrances. The Banho line is my favourite, but they are all exceptional.
