The food was very tasty and easy to cook on the grill (so don’t worry about it!). My husband and I had a lovely dinner and we had a great time with Jose’ talking about art, music and good! Recommend it

great little place, friendly staff and cool style of the restaurant. You get a hot plate in the middle of the table and get to grill your own food. We enjoyed it a lot.

The menu is great for 13€. Lots of food: meat, rice, fries, salad and sauces. The manager is really friendly and attentive. It was really worth the price, specially if you're hungry.

Amazing! Incredibly friendly owner, outstanding service and the food.... wow! Started with the prawns, never tasted anything so good, then the meat platter which was fantastic followed by the chocolate mousse, the best ever and the recommended red wine was out of this work. Couldn't recommend this restaurant enough, great value and an amazing night

Very enjoyable fun meal cooking our own meat on a hot stone. The owner was very friendly and really made us feel very welcome. He was also very accommodating of my wife's gluten free requirements.

The meat is fabulous, cooking for yourself on hot stones is a great eating experience. The atmosphere is quiet but lovely.

Been visiting this lovely hidden gem for many years. Food is fresh and plentiful. The host is friendly and helpful. Really family friendly and our kids now 18 and 11 ask to go every time we are here as they enjoy cooking their food on the slate. Anxiety provoking when kids were younger keeping them away from the slate but still worth visiting. Great value.

Excellent cuts of meat that you cook yourself on a (very) hot stone. An experience! Good value food and wine. The owner, Jose, is a lovely chap. We had a great time.

Went on a quiet weekday evening. Super food, as others have stated, cooked on a stone at the table. Possibly the best sangria on the Iberian peninsula. All very reasonably priced. Out of the way place, if you didn‘t know it, you wouldn‘t stumble upon it. If this place were in the centre of Luz or Lagos it would be heaving every night.

Great value. Marvellous bread. All you can eat. So friendly. Family Friendly - Superb experience (probably why in the past 20 years we have eaten there over 75 times!) Ótimas pessoas boa comida! O melhor pão do algarve

We went on a Saturday night to listen to the Fado singer, a young woman who was absolutely brilliant. It is a perfect 'taster' as an introduction. The Fadista explained the songs in English which helped our guests who'd never experience fado and did not speak Portuguese.

The staff were welcoming and service good.

Cooking meat on the stone was certainly different and we had great fun. We had the basic menu Popular @ €13.00 and ordered the wine by the bottle rather than the house wine which was not that great (if I am honest) The quality of the meat was excellent as was chips, rice and salad accompaniment.

I am relieved we never had the starter as we struggled to eat the main course.

Overall a good evening and something a little different.

Nice little restaurant. The stone grill is nice, but the pumpkin soup was amazing! This is a typical family restaurant. 😁 We are coming back in the near future!
