Sunita's Castle

The food is absolutely delicious and the service is excellent! You can just tell the waiter what you’d prefer and he’ll give you the perfect recommendation. The starters are as good as the main dishes.
We were never disappointed and had a great experience with dinner and will come back as often as possible!

Came around this restaurant by chance! Best Indian restaurant I’ve ate at by far, incredible food from starters to main courses. Impeccable service, a lot of helpful suggestions from the staff, even offered a blanket because we were seated outside.
Hands down if you are in Luz or Lagos and fancy Indian food you should pop by!

My wife and I have been experiencing Portugal and wanted to try something different. The reviews looked promising and so we came for dinner. The restaurant is located on a quiet street and features a lovely patio. We had a bit too much sun today and so we ate inside. We were delighted to find dishes that we weren't familiar with. We asked for suggestions and we got them. We ended up with a meal that was diverse, flavourful and also beautifully prepared.

Spice level is a personal thing and I appreciated that we were given a sample of what medium would taste like. Usually medium is a too bland. Not here. Medium tasted like it was comfortable to eat with a nice lingering heat. Just the way we like it. Medium it is!

We started with Chicken Tikka Puri. Accompanied by sauces to enhance the dish if we desired. When I had my first taste, I was amazed. It was so flavourful. I knew we were in for a special meal.

Next the Honey Prawns, cooked to perfection with a tasty glaze that was right on point with the heat level we asked for.

This was the appetizer round. Now, the meal.

Lamb Rara - This is a roasted lamb curry. Very tender.

King Prawn Shashlik, this was also amazing with the sauce on the side.

Veg Briyani (Hyderabad Style) - This was the most beautiful briyani dish I have seen. Mixed with veggies.

Garlic Naan - Yum, of course. Pro tip we learned, but a small amount of mint sauce on the naan and dip into the lamb dish. Awesomeness will hit your palette.

Everyone who looked after us was so hospitable. We are sad this restaurant is not in our city. Thanks for a wonderful night.

As a Brit who lived near Birmingham this is best Indian food I've eaten in my life. The testing for how spicey you like it with a portion of chutney was a good idea. Only thing that could be made better deveining
prawns. Looking forward to coming again Seriously good curry!

I came across this restaurant purely by chance when I made a detour from the main road to try and find a place to get a quick bite. I struck gold!
The waiter, Naresh Kumar, couldn’t have been nicer, the food was amongst the best Indian food I have ever tasted and the place is simply and nicely decorated. There is also a terrace which has to be great for summer evening dining.
Prices are very reasonable.
I wholeheartedly recommend this Indian restaurant.

Best Indian food we have ever eaten! Service made you feel special and the they assisted with us choosing new dishes with complimentary sides. Can’t speak more highly of the whole dining experience- a real treat and not to be missed! We will be back

We had a takeaway delivered to the Turisimo camping site. The service was outstanding, the dishes were better. We had poppadoms and a pickle tray, beautiful. The I had a king prawn Karahi , it was gorgeous. My hubby had chicken achari, delicious. The spice and chilli level was perfect. The depth of flavour outstanding. Even though we had a takeaway we felt looked after. The meal was delivered prompt, piping hot and fresh. Thankyou.

The food was amazing, the service very attentively and nice. We had a great evening there. I will come definitely back. For me its one of the best Indian restaurants.

What an incredible gem to find. I cannot begin to write what a fantastic place this is. We visited Sunita’s castle for dinner last night and it was incredible. The food was the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten and we eat a LOT of Indian food. Topped off with the loveliest staff and Sunita’s warmth and hospitality, it was one of the best family meals out we’ve ever had! Thank you so much, we will most definitely be back 🙏💕🥰

Super delicious food and amazing staff. Sunita made sure we were ordering something we would enjoy so she asked us questions about our tastes because we were a bit lost. The room had more people but she made sure we felt like home in her special way. This review is made by someone who was in India recently and this restaurant definitely was the most authentic and and real compared to the wonders of this countries dishes. If Google had an option to give an above 5 rating then Sunita's Castle would get a 10 on 5. Absolutely brilliant. I have never met a restaurant owner as warm as Sunita. We were treated so well and all our customisations were taken care of. We were in Portugal for a few days and ate here a few times. The chef made us warm phulkas and amazing kofta curry. I am tempted to do a trip to Lagos for a month just to try all the menu options at Sunita's Castle :) Apologies no photos since we were busy eating :)

Lost in the depths of Algarve lies this incredibly delicious restaurant. The location is very unique and cozy, the service is caring (Sunita can give you the best recommendations) and the food is authentic. I have tasted Indian food from many high prized Indian restaurants and still the flavors of all dishes were revealing. The best Indian I ever had, with a memorable service. My personal recommendation is the Lababd chicken!

Absolutely amazing, I have eaten at the best Indian restaurants and this is so much better. The food just melts in your mouth. Leave it to Sunita to just pick a meal to your taste.

If I had a million dollars I’d invest in this as a franchise because it will fit sure be a hit.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Sunita has used her lock down time very wisely! The Castle has been fully refurbished inside and out and is looking stunning. It's a brave business that invests in these uncertain times, but the quality of the food and the extraordinarily good service will mean customers - old and new - will come flooding through the doors in the coming months, and they are in for a treat!
