We’ve been in Pico 3 times. But this time, we accidentally found this amazing place, that’s a bit hidden. Everything about this place is perfect. We’ve had the best tuna and regional style steak in all the Azores. The ambience is extremely selective. The staff makes you feel at home, but with a touch of glamour. The playlist was so good it made us not want to leave. They even have an indoor terrace with a beautiful garden where we can smoke.
I see some comments about the price, which for me, is more than worth the amazing experience we’ve had, it may not be affordable to everyone, but that dos NOT mean it’s expensive.
It’s by far the best restaurant in Pico if you’re looking for a remarkable night.

Great food, great service, really good music playlist, everything was really good. Try out a lot of different stuff, it‘s worth it!

Lovely place
The tapas menu could be more extensive and they were out of a dish.
However it's a 2 person operation and run very well
The chef does great dishes and the slow cooked beef was tasty.

Oh my goodness, the poor reviews for this place are clearly reflections of the person, not of the restaurant.
This place was the highlight of our trip here, (next to summiting Pico Mountain on a sunny day)!
1. The wait time: it's true, you'll be waiting a bit so be prepared for that. But it's a beautifully small establishment with the 2 staff being the ones who have invested in the space. Also, good food takes time and this food is amazing!
2. The prices: yes, it's more pricey than the few other dinner places in Madalena, but it's such high quality and caliber food that it's more than worth it! Plus it's really not that expensive, I think people just like to complain.
3. Small menu: it's a small kitchen with a small staff - but also it means rhat what they do have they are making it *right*. Places that have too many option on their menu immediately seem cheap to me and I don't expect great things. Fine dining always has smaller menus and this restaurant puts out better food than I've had at some more hoity today places! Small is beautiful!

The gentleman that served us was lovely, suggested the perfect wine for our meal, and the chef cooked amazing dishes! They also easily adapted my chosen dishes to my gluten and dairy allergies.

It's a must go! But if you aren't a patient person, or are travelling cheap then sure - maybe not for you. But you're missing out!

This was a really unique and amazing dining experience, with extremely friendly staff and food that we will never forget. However! Be prepared for a long wait, there seems to be just 1 chef, and 1 server, so the dining experience was 2.5 hours. But if you have the time, it was the perfect way to spend the night.

Indeed a little bit pricey, but you get your money’s worth. The staff is so friendly and eager to answer questions, the food is so tasty and fresh, the interior is very nice and the playlist is marvellous. They also have a cosy little courtyard.

Trendy wine bar with a very decent food menu. The food was excellent! Great atmosphere. Often quite busy! But still has an intimate feel. Highly recommended.

The food was amazing, there is nothing else to be said for it, I would eat again and again. The wine was delicious and we followed the advice of our sommelier on selection. The atmosphere was perfect, music, lighting 🤌. Well worth the price, and an amazing treat hidden in Madelena.

Delightful! The food was delicious, the wine excellent, the service just right - loved this beautiful place! Definitely one of the best restaurants we found in our four island holiday.

Eat here! Best meal we had in all of the Azores. It is a cute, cozy tapas restaurant and the food is spectacular. We got a salad, shrimp, steak, garlic bread and red berry cheesecake. Service was great and very helpful when recommending a local wine.

Great choice and recommendations of local wines and lovely food in a really pleasant atmosphere. Excellent playlist that took me back a few years!

Great place, wonderful and attentive host, delicious wines.

Eating at this place is the definition of "living the good life". The tapa are full of flavor and the wine goes well with it. I did not see it mentioned in the reviews so far, but I think this is one of the better places in Madalena for vegetarians and even vegans. There are enough tasty options to choose from. The service is great and quick (even when it is busy) and the person who selected/created the playlist has good taste in music ;-)

Tip: reservation seemed necessary to ensure a table

We almost had everything from the menu and it was all very tasty. Local dishes with an extra touch. The atmosphere is nice just like the service.

I’ve visited this restaurant three times and have had amazing experiences. The food and service is consistent. This has by far been the best service I have received on this island.

Cutest little place in the island with delicious foods and wine… a must

We do five islands of the azores and at this very moment we're at number three. But this is the best dinner so far. Food worth to curse for. Like OMG. Go to Pico and eat here. Lovely.
