Best restaurant in Pico island for me. Excellent food, great view on the ocean. Service is a bit slow but remains acceptable. Dining room is noisy whereas the terrasse is quieter. Booking might be needed although I found twice a table at lunch without booking, at the opening at 12, and later at 2 PM.

Always love this place. Never failed. Never left Pico without eating here at least once. Owner changed, but stayed with all the people working here that make this place great. Has my favorite Pico wines. Love it.

Amazing place, beautiful view, well organized and nice space inside, and what is the most important with amazing quality of food. They have plenty of dishes in menu and a very fresh and well-done fish. Great thanks!

Excellent meal - one of the best we’ve had on Pico! We had several starters, local cheese and wine, octopus stew, fish of the day and all were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Service was outstanding - very friendly waitress who spoke English. And the location was stunning! Gorgeous sunset views!!!

Recently with new management this restaurant still maintained and probably improved its radience with freshly furniture added more experienced and friendly to the existing staff. Starters, main dish and desert were tasteful experience. Must make a reservation in advance and ask for available seats in the terrace or near the full glass windows for better experience depending on the weather which in the azores it's always unpredictable.

Took a chance and rocked up without a reservation on a Saturday night. The staff were delightful and the food was even better. Definitely eat here and have the limpets and the fish stew. The octopus stew was out of this world - I’d eat it every day if I could!

Excellent food and service. Lots of different types of fish dishes and some meat dishes as well. Very nice atmosphere and not overly expensive. Dessert also was excellent. Wine selection very extensive. Highly recommend.

Amazing restaurant, great food and service, plus it's located right near the ocean so it's beautiful to go have dinner at sunset. However it is a bit pricey, ~25-30€ per person. Totally worth it but be prepared for that.
We had the Stewed Octopus and the fried tuna steak, both were great but the Octopus was the main attraction, a must have when dinning there!

We were able to walk in early on a Sunday night and sit without a reservation. The food was delicious, started with a shrimp dish and then shared the fish skewer and the fried octopus. The fish skewer alone makes it worth coming here - delicious and great presentation. The outdoor patio overlooks an inlet/swimming hole and in the distance the island Faial. By the time we finished, there must have been at least 30 people waiting for a table - highly recommend dining here.

Can I recommend to you the shellfish rice? I’m definitely recommending that shellfish rice. It’s so rich and flavorful and absolutely delicious. More than enough for two people and you’ll want bread to sop up all of the delicious stew left behind.

The view is also a cute one as you overlook the ocean and what looks to be a working dock.

The service is attentive and very kind. I felt like a very chic grandma was looking out for me as she scooped the remaining prawns out of our pot as she made sure we didn’t miss any of the last seafood-y goodness of our stew before taking it away.

Also. That cheese and honey combo with the bread. Do it.

Definitely a gem of a restaurant in Madalena.

I eat a very delicious starter here (olives, cheese and honey) and also a top tuna dish!
I highly recommend this restaurant also for tasting wines, their verdelho is superb.
The view is also top.

Food was good. Atmosphere was lovely. The really amazing thing is that our taxi to the airport after dinner cancelled and the manager drove us himself. ABOVE AND BEYOND exceptional service. Our waitress was so great too!

Food was delicious - we had octopus, acorda, and irio fish. Fresh, tasty. The interior of the place was sleek and nice to hang around in. Would go back!

Grilled octopus and tuna. Both were delicious. They have a great choice of vines.

Had a great dinner here. We hadn't reserved, and the restaurant got packed later that evening, yet one of the friendly ladies directed us towards a table of two. We had shrimps in spicy oil and bread as starters and fried tuna with sweet potatoes and grilled tuna a la portuguesa as main dishes. We had to wait quite some time for our food to arrive, but it was worth the wait!

The cataplana à ancordouro was divine. Fish, prawns and linpets in a tomato, onion and potato broth. I would happily return to just eat this dish again. Beautiful sunset views and I suggest calling to reserve.
