What to say about the mall at Portela de Sacavem?

This small, cylinder- shaped mall was the first one in Portugal when it was built in the 1970s. It has everything you may need in a neighborhood mall, from supermarkets to hairdressers and barner shops, from laundromat to adult and baby clothing stores, from restaurants to coffee shops and bakeries, from bookstores to toy stores, tailor shops, locksmiths, and more. Additionally, it featured an underground parking garage and outdoor surface parking spots. It also has bus stops around it and a taxi line on hold.
It's not modern, although it's being refurbished to make it more appealing and update it to current trends.

I highly recommend it!

The years pass and this place still with is magic. Loads of different stores and plenty of car parking 🅿

Great place. Aside many others this center is more local and offers typical Portella Coffee and good and fabulous bakery, one of the best in the world on my point of view.

Hit in the evening hours for dinner and shopping. During this visit, the Christmas fair and lighting through the restaurant and shopping areas were very nice backdrops to the activities. 🎄

A true gem in the midst of huge supermalls, this one has it all but still remains cosy, sweet and with a one of a kind vibe. Highly recommend to choose to shop theree to support local businesses and the nostalgic and cool interior.

A familiar old-school (80's) type of mall, with a vibrant community everyday of the week, and especially during the weekends

Nice shopping center with very interesting shops. Returned after many years. Back then was buying spectrum games here... in the 80s. Impressed by the photovoltaic energy production unit on the roof. Excellent example of what all comercial buildings should be doing.

There's everything you need in Portela shopping centre. It's a three story shopping centre. It is so helpful

You can find everything here. From Indian condiments to excellent butchers, clothes, footwear and toys among many others. And nothing big. Small stores with a purpose.

It's your neighborhood shopping mall ☺ it has everything a good neighborhood needs, mini-market , many service facilities , electronics stores, and the best of it alot of good restaurants.

The best place to get all the products you need. Very convenient for the residents in terms of number and diversity of commercial shops.

So nice. Full of local people very professional. I had breakfast there every morning of my staying in Lisbon.

Nice small mall, covers basic needs of Portella residents and have nice cafes and padarias.

Medium sized mall with many individual shops.
You will not find many big brand stores.
This mall still has a traditional feeling to it.
Try the croissants at Taric, they are bulky, but very tasteful.

Avoid the supermarket (deemed most expensive in Portugal in 2016 by consumer protection association).

Out of curiosity, the bookshop (Orvil is Livro written in reverse) and there are really many hairdressers. The last time I counted there were 8, which drives the prices very low for a mall in the close outskirts of Lisbon.
