Pingo Doce

If you ever get into Portugal late or are tired and don't want to go out, stop by any Pingo Doce and get their take out food. Quite honestly, some of the best supermarket food I have ever had. We had the Bacalhau con natas (cod fish with cream) absolutely delicious; 1/2 rack of ribs, incredibly fresh, tasty and crunchy skin; bacalhau fritas (cod fried thingys), vegetable fritas, same as the cod but veggies, all amazing; grilled chicken and they serve it with your sauce of choice a lemon herb or a spicy sauce, we had ours with none and it was some of the best grilled chicken I have ever had, plus, rice, spinach with garlic, So, we got all this amazing food and amazing Portuguese wine for 4 people and paid less than 30 Euros. The chicken, which was a whole chicken and a half was 6 euros. Wines range from 3 euros and up, and we are talking great local wines. Pastries, meats, seafood, poultry, sundries. We purchased all the food, 6 bottles of wines and Port wine, pastries, sundries (the airline lost our luggage, shampoo, deodorant, washing liquid for clothes, toothpaste, toothbrushes) Food for 4 and we had enough left over for lunch the next day, all for 90 euros and they say Pingo Doce is the more expensive supermarket. Quite honestly, for Europe it's fantastic pricing and a great value. Highly recommended, on a scale from 1 -10 for supermarket food, this is a 10!

i came hier to UK . for two weeks and i came hier for every day for lunch. food is very nice and tasty and fresh and the price is also very good. and most important very clean in side thanks pingo doce . obrigado

The best grocery store especially the manager in this branch is the best person who always helps you in all the ways you want, if you don't understand some offers and how these offers you can use it to save some money.

Nice place to have lunch or dinner, a smart option for those with a small wallet. For 4-10 EUR you can get yourself from a fish dish or a personalized pizza

Very Big and well arranged Pingo Doce. Friendly and cooperative staff. They also have a Sushi Kiosk inside, near veggie and Fruits. I had never ever eaten such Sushi. The presentation is also spectacular. Recommend to try it while you shop in Pingo Doce.

It's located inside strada outlet. It's quite big and you get almost everything
