Centauro Rent a Car, Lisbon

Super kind Staff, very quick and professional service (both renting and drop-off). The office is located away from the airport but they have a free shuttle bus - the stop is in front of the terminal on the right hand side, where is the bus stop. The car was extra clean, outside and inside, looked like brand new and very easy to drive. I highly recommend them. Thank you!

We reserved the car we wanted to rent online, made the payment online as well, round 78€ (for 2 days, and there was sale at the time).

We got the shuttle at the airport and they left us at Centauro parking lot.
We had to pay 123€ (for gas and tolls) plus a deposit of 100€ (for other costs). This included full insurance, 2 drivers, and the car had Via Verde, for automatic tolls.

We rented a Peugeot 3008(online) and we got a C5, the same category.

We returned the car an hour late, round, and they didn’t charged us.

Great service and nice staff. Got almost a new car with 14k of mileage and even bigger size than I ordered for the same price. Took the option with full coverage and did document approval online to avoid waiting once I got there. They took a deposit for the tolls and fuel. The toll-pay device is very useful and saves a lot of time so no need to worry about anything just go through the gates without stopping. Also, an unused deposit of the toll box is returned the same as the deposit for fuel if you bring back the car with the same level of fuel. Good experience, definitely suggest this company. A shuffle bus may be delayed a little bit more than every 15 minutes ( in my case waited approximately 30 min.). In case you do not return the car at the last second before the flight everything is more than fine. :)

I honestly had a great experience from beginning to end. We got picked up from the airport just like mentioned in the email. We got an upgrade because the actual car class we paid for was not available so that was a plus. The car was in optimal condition, basically brand new, the lovely smell of brand new car was still there. The car performance was great! We paid 2 different deposits, one of 100€ for the via verde which is used on Portuguese highways and one of 130 for the fuel. Everything will be sent back to your account minus the used fuel+highway usage price.

But overall, would recommend and do it again!!!

Everything went smoothly and very friendly. I had ordered and received a Fiat 500 convertible, everything was great! Super friendly and really cheap, we only pay for what you have used! I would choose this car rental company again and again and recommend it to everyone. I'll be back in October!

Centauro was either the only or one of the very few car rentals that accept debit cards. We hired a car from Centauro Lisbon and returned it to Centauro Faro. Both offices were great and the stuff very helpful. We gave a big deposit up front, but we received the whole amount back after we returned the car. The car itself was just fine and we had no problems at all.

Great experience. Well organised and efficient pick up and drop off. Did not have to wait longer than 10 minutes for free shuttle to and from Lisbon airport. Drop off took 10 minutes, though you will probably need more time during peak season. Friendly and helpful staff. One thing I was not aware of beforehand is that aside from the excess deposit you need to leave an additional 209€ deposit for petrol and toll gates (car is equipled with Via Verde). Balance is refunded within 10 days. For drop off enter the address provided in the booking confirmation you received by email into Google Maps - takes you straight there.
Note: the shuttle drops you at T1. If you are departing from T2 you will still need to take the airport shuttle bus from T1 to T2 - keep this in mind for timing. T2 is a 3 minute bus ride from T1, bus leaves every 10 minutes.

Didn't use the airport transport and purposively made a reservation at time when the office wouldn't be busy, just to be sure.
Received super modern super clean car. Everything was fast and efficient, especially considering it's Portugal where things often take time. No hidden charges, money returned right away. Sadly, highway tolls aren't cheap in Portugal, but that's not Centauro's fault.
Will come back. Great value for price.

Good Cars at very affordable prices, amazing staff. ... Just think that the return takes too much time when it's rented with full insurance: no inspection needed, just fuel (and even that is covered with retained payment)

Rented the car through Booking. Centauro's Service was very good. Pick up at the airport, the car was clean and almost brand new and although not the same brand or model required was equivalent. Explanations were easy and staff were friendly.

We rented a Fiat 500 here at the end of August for a week. Found their office easily as it was indicated on the rental documents to look for their shuttle service. 10 min bus ride to arrive to a long waiting line, the staff was doing everything they could to go through it as quickly as possible while still taking the time to provide all the necessary info (toll system, insurance policy, fuel policy and so on) and being super friendly in the process. Upon reception, the car was clean and in good condition. Most importantly, the rental was dirt cheap; at €36 total for a 6 days rental. I don't feel like I'm in the position to complain for 30 minutes extra waiting when I'm paying this kind of money. Later, when I returned the car, the guy doing the check-out made me aware I was MUCH too late (I missed between am and pm during my booking). However he decided not to charge me extra for this as he understood it was a mistake. Thank you again Afonso and Centauro. Extremely happy with our experience.

everything was well arranged we were picked up at the airport and we got another car that we ordered this was the same size and it only had 3500 km so a new body check was done and we could leave toll box was also in it when we came back and parked right away was told everything was fine and they brought us back to the airport nicely highly recommended

Impressive service! Walked in without a reservation, in an hour got a Volkswagen Polo with full insurance for half the price compared to other carsharing services.

Friendly staff kindly provided us with info about toll roads, and deposit return. No issues during the rental. Hussle-free and quick car returning. Highly recommended!

Very good service. The car had the transponder (viaverde), so the highway tolls were collected automatically.

I recommend using smart cover, so you don't have to worry about the car.
