Joao’s bike rental is incredible. We rented 3 mountain bikes in pristine condition to do the Camino De Santiago Portuguese from Porto to Santiago and had no issues. He provided panniers lights, maintainance tools and everything and had it all ready to go at pickup! Amazing service, definitely rent here!

I rented a cycle for a week from these guys. They were super friendly and gave me some sound route advice. The cycle was well maintained and came with waterproof panniers and full repair kit. It was an all round great experience. I've rented cycles at other locations, and this has been by far the best. I've already planned to return again.

Thanks to João we were able to complete the Camino Português and made it to Santiago de Compostela safe and sound in 4 days via the Central Camino. The bikes were really well maintained and came with all the extra gear like helmets, pump and a pair of panniers. Be sure to rent bikes from João if you are planning the Camino trip, he’s the best in town!

I rented 3 bikes for a 4-day trip. They were pretty new looking and very well maintained, the brakes and gears were set up perfectly. We were provided with locks lights and Helmets which was a bonus. The owner was also very accommodating and I will defenitly come back. Highly recommended.

Incredible bike shop, hooked us up with some great rides for our trip down to Faro.
João even went out of his way to spec my bicycle with some of his spare parts, and hooked me up with a rental while waiting for the bike to be set up, at no additional cost.

João at Velurb went out of his way to help us (two cycletrekkers finishing a month long trip to Porto); he gave us two used bike boxes to allow us to fly home; and even arranged a airport transfer for us big enough for our two bikes. He also told us about cycle life in Porto. All this and we were barely even a customer (we brought a spare chain). I overheard other staff giving other tourist cyclists advice for getting around in Portugal. Great team. Highly recommended.

Velurb is a partner of mountainbike-portugal.com. I picked up my rental bike (from MTB-Portugal) there. Not long walk from Trindade Metro station.
The owner(?) is very relaxed, friedly and helpful. Borrowed me a second bottle holder and kept the bike pedals at his shop, as I brought my own pedals (combined SDP/flat).
Unfortunately not open on Saturday after 13h00, I would have loved to rent a bike for the day on my way back. Thanks a lot anyway!!!

We rented two bikes for 6 days to visit the outskirts of Porto. The bikes (a mountain bike and a trekking bike) didn't look like new, but they were fine to ride and technically in good shape. We got a lot of useful extras (toolbox, pump, heavy locks and a smartphone mount) for free. Great value for the price!

Phenomenal customer service. Provided me with a cardboard box to transport my bike and allowed me to deconstruct it with their tools inside the store. Great dudes - both of em.

I can highly recommend this place. The owner is very friendly and supportive and will adjust the bikes as you wish. Bikes are maybe not the newest but in full working order and as comfortable as you wish. Watch out! You may even get a discount! Just treat those bikes as your own and enjoy the ride!

The best bike rental service I've ever met. They have a lot of bikes, any type you need by city, kids to mountain bikes in very good conditions. The guy is nice and flexible for the time and not only. I had a great trip with this bike. :)

Our time in Porto was transformed by the lovely Joao and his coworker (didn't catch his name). They were super helpful and accommodating - gave us a good price for a 3-day rental as we were starting fairly late in the day. And we LOVED exploring the area on our bikes, which were great. After a hairy ride through the city centre, we cycled up and down the coast enjoying the beaches and the fantastic scenery. They even let us leave our bags on our last day in Porto as our flight wasn't until the evening. A great find - highly recommended!

We needed help in getting our bikes prepared for shipping by plane. Jão, the owner was very very helpful! Providing boxes, dismantling, packing and even driving us to the airport. Top service and Highly recommanded!!

Excellent place! Really good and friendly service, good bikes and as far as I know the cheapest in town. Cycled hundreds of km's on his rental bikes.

Amazing bike shop run by really helpful, friendly, knowledgeable guys who kitted us out with all the right kit to cycle from Porto to Barcelos, Ponte de Lima, Viana do Castelo and Vila do Conde. A really great trip, thank you!
