This is a lovely hotel. From the moment you enter, it is evident that they pay attention to details. The hotel smells fabulous and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They booked our wine tasting experience and provided suggestions for things to do in the area. The rooms are simple, modern and clean. The common areas are well kept and modern. Pool and spa are very nice.

A wonderful hotel within walking distance to Lamego tourist sites. Our hotel stay included access to the indoor pool, Turkish bath, and glass of wine on arrive. Great bar, restaurant, and welcoming staff. Our room was ready when we arrived at 1130 and we are able to check in early. Check out is at 1200. The rooms are basic and clean. We definitely recommend this hotel!

When we were looking for accommodation in this area this was one of the last places remaining and I cannot understand why. This is a fantastic hotel with a great view and terrific staff. Check in is a joy, the front office staff make all the right first impressions. There's even a short personal walk through induction of the hotel and it's services which ends with a complimentary wine. The pool area (open 24hrs) is fantastic and suitable for all ages. Food and beverage service is available poolside, though on the day we were there, the kitchen was closing early for some reason. They eventually did make burgers for us which arrived a bit cold but this happens. There is a gym and spa, which we sadly didn't have time for, a bar with a lounge area and outdoor terrace and a large attractive restaurant with a fantastic view. The rooms and beds are massive. Spacious and well presented bathrooms and modern decor. We didn't intend to stay long in our rooms so chose the 'garden view'. The view overlooking the valley would certainly be worth paying extra for I would suggest. Breakfast was excellent (having hot milk in cereal was a bit unusual but not a criticism) We were even allowed to take a small box of pastries with us. Would I stay here again? Absolutely

A stunning hotel with great rooms, service and facilities. Location is a little out of town (~1.5km), but easily walkable. The pool and spa facilities are fantastic, with the on site restaurant serving a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner. The only negative is the lack of irons in the rooms. We were here for a friend's wedding with most guests needing to iron something ahead of the big day. Sadly you need to pay for the laundry service to get this done.

Everything in the hotel is great. Staff is super attentive and helping you in everything you need. Special props to Gonzalo in the reception desk that greeted us and supported us in everything during our stay.

Breakfast 9/10, Launch and Dinner: 9/10. All of those with great views.

Love this hotel. The decor is beautiful. The staff are lovely. Very well found rooms. We enjoyed the large pool. The breakfast and evening meals were excellent. Lamego is an interesting historical location and good for exploring wineries.

Beautiful hotel, boho chic style very well designed. Awesome outside pool with stunning view where you can chill and relax. Perfect for relaxing vacation. The room is super spacious, comfortable and private. Location is great near the beautiful Lamego which is def worth a visit. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. I highly recommend this place if you want a relaxing vacation.

We stayed here in July,and it was really good.The check in was very efficient and the staff are excellent,all the staff in the hotel are reall fantastic, friendly and so pleasant and nothing is a problem.An excellent breakfast,the pool bar also has a nice lunchtime menu,and dinner in the restaurant was very good.The pool area,and everywhere in the hotel is really lovely,lots of quiet areas to sit and relax.The morning of our departure,we said we were leaving early,Claudia in the restaurant said,we can give you a breakfast pack,which was so well packaged,and we had a full selection to enjoy on our journey.The hotel is walking distance from Lamego and lots of free parking,we are really looking forward to returning in October.A big thank you to everyone for such a fantastic stay.

Nice hotel. Some of the nicest hotel staff ever. From desk staff amazing. Dining room staff excellent. The breakfast buffet has a great selections and is constantly being maintained and refreshed. If you have a car parking is free and easy. Not my favourite bed and pillow! Rooms clean and basic garden view (driveway) but windows open for fresh air.

We really experienced and exceptionally high service, in what felt like quite a new hotel… the pool had certainly been renovated recently and it was the perfect space to cool down and for our children to play. Room was very well appointed with comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet was of a very good standard, with lots of choices.

All staff was friendly throughout our stay. I loved the interior of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was very good - selected things but with great quality (fresh orange juice, fruits, cheeses/ham, freshly baked bread, cakes. Free parking is available in the garage and outside.

Things to improve: decent coffee. The cappuccino I ordered separately was not drinkable and the filter coffee was scary too. A hair conditioner in the room would be a great add.

All in one: great stay & to recommend

A truly fantastic hotel. Recently refurbished, the style is clean, calm and chic. Rooms are spacious, and the Mountain View rooms come highly recommended. Breakfast is sensational - with everything from Portuguese pastries to natural yoghurt and chia seeds, served with a view of the valley. The spa, with L’Occitaine products, is excellent with indoor and outdoor pools, Nordic tub, sauna and steam room. I had a fantastic massage. The town itself is a great place to visit, with excellent restaurants, local wines and a must-see 6th Century chapel on the other side of the valley to the hotel. Stay here if you can, you will not be disappointed.

Simply spectacular place! Relaxing pool, comfortable rooms, amazing staff and delicious food. Definitely will stay next time visiting Douro Valley. Thank you 🫶🏻

Perfect lodgings for a getaway deep in the heart of Douro. A 5 minute drive or brisk walk to the heart of town. I came for a wedding.

The staff are all very attentive and polite. Don't expect anything in a NY minute, this is Portugal remember. Rooms are minimalist but well appointed. The shower stall could use a small stool.

The free breakfast buffet is excellent and has something for everyone 's taste. Fresh fruit and baked goods are plentiful.

The front desk was helpful and courteous. Although I must say I was expecting bell service and for some reason this four star hotel had me parking my own car and lugging my own luggage up to my room.

I'll be back in a heartbeat.

Best hotel we ever stayed in! Staff was very professional and above all very friendly! The swimmingpool was big and clean, same were the rooms, and everything was really nice decorated! The breakfast was sublime and the restaurant and brasserie served delicious food. We felt very privileged to stay there an will definitely come back. Thanks so much to everyone of the staff, who have made our stay so wonderful, you have made us feel very welcome!

My husband and I spent a week in Hotel Life Lamego for our minimoon and our stay was fantastic. The hotel is very modern and a 10 minute walk to the city centre. The staff were very friendly and very helpful if we had any queries. There was an excellent selection for breakfast with a beautiful view of the vineyards.

The lamego hotel is the definition of a great hotel. The staff are amazing, they are always looking out for you and are very approachable. The rooms are a great size and very comfortable. The breakfast is a good spread and offer great views to the valley. Thank you for a fantastic stay special that's to Rita at reception, Manuela at the bar and the older gentleman at the breakfast who made our stay delightful. We have to come back

Excellent staff. All very kind and friendly. Breakfast is great with continental food, but also we regional cakes for tasting. Very very good!
The food at the Hotel restaurant is also great, but we had to wait a quite a bit when we visited.
Swimming pool and gym are nice too. However they are on different levels (or stories). Gym, sauna and steam room are on level above the swimming pool and jacuzzi. So you either have to take the lift or stairs.
