Great experience. We love this kind of local places with such kind service and great traditional dishes.
The restaurant is quite large but reservation is recommended.
We arrived early so we managed to skip the busiest hours.
Food was excelent and chicken was our favorite.
No negative points, definitely worth the visit.

Traditional Alentejo food. If you are vegan, don't even try. Pretty big portions and delicious meat dishes. It takes a trip to get there, but it's worth and you can see the Alentejo countryside.

Amazing space to enjoy a real Alentejana meal in familia. THE BEST grilled rabbit I’ve tried before, accompanied with delicious potatoes, very juicy and with a great customer service experience.

Great place for tasting authentic regional food. Super friendly and attentive staff. We tried tomato and chicken soup, Alentejano wine, coelho, porco, cabrito and sericaia. Everything was so tasteful! Thank you for an unforgettable dinner. Ten stars.

Great place with amazing food and cheap prices. We paid 62€ in 4 people and we had plenty of food. The place itself is super charming, the waiter amazing and the food excellent. Not sure why anyone would give less the 5 stars. Maybe if they are vegetarian and miss vegetarian dishes but beside that great place !

Genuine regional food at a very fair price. Try the galinha tostada (roast chicken) and the coelho (rabbit). Amazing flavours! And a very friendly staff.

Excellent restaurant out of any touristic path, deep in the interior of Alto Alentejo. Is wrongly marked in Google maps, so one needs to pay attention to the restaurant signs in the road. Good ambient, inevitably rustic and woody. The staff is very friendly and always with such warm smile!! And the food is just amazing, the meat falling off the bones, so soft, the richness of flavors... one of the best bacalhau com espinafres, highly popular in this zone, but usually a bit mild and tasteless, here is a bomb of flavor! The rabbit and the lamb, just delicious! Definitely we will return!

Great place to taste traditional Alentejo delicacies

Very delicious food, especially lamp. And incredibly cheap place with nice atmosphere.

Very good place to eat, nice view and even the garden has a cosy sheltered terrace apealling enough to spend a few hours.
I enjoyed the grilled rabbit which your rarely find in Portugal. I thought it would be something to hard to eat, but was surprised that it came as a stew, so very tender. Enjoy the fresh white cheese as a starter.

Very high quality Alentejan cooking (I particularly recommend the roast rabbit). Exceptional value. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended. (Cash only, no bank cards). Out in the country but relatively easy to find. In the summer the evening view from the terrace must be lovely.

Excellent food in terms of quality and taste! Staff is very friendly and always trying to make you feel welcome. Food made in the coal oven: don'/ miss the "galinha tostada" (toasted chicken). Good price / quality.

5 stars is not enough..

We are so thankful we had the chance to dine at O Espalha Brasas. It offers a wonderful sampling of Alentejan dishes. We especially enjoyed the rabbit paired with a bottle of Quintas de Borba.

I'm giving 5* to this restaurant not because it's the fanciest restaurant ever but because you can get real and delicious food in spot surrounded by vineyard for the price of McDonald's.

If you'll pull the right strings :) to enter you'll get great food and great wine

A little off road, but excellent food and very nice service. The meat is great.
