We paid 22€ for lunch for 2 - we were full.
For the lunch time there was a little cue, but it moved quickly.

Excellent chicken piri piri dish at a fair price.
Salads and drinks all included.
Good service and friendly staff.

The grilled dishes are amazing and affordable at euro 8.50. A bottle of 1.5L water costs euro 1.00. All meal comes with salad, bread, olives and a small fruit plate for dessert.
The service can be slow as the place is packed with local customers. But you can’t be fast when being in Portugal. Just take your time and enjoy a beer instead.

Authentic experience and food! Don’t be weirded out that you sit down and things start coming or there’s no bill. For 18 euro we got two generous portions of chicken and fries, a salad for 3, bread, olives, beets and tomatoes. It’s busy and fast paced, just got with it and don’t be a dumb tourist expecting anything and you’ll have the best meal of your life! All of the negative reviews below are probably from rude tourists anyways

This small little restaurant is a hidden treasure! Everything they served was excellent and fresh - the grilled sardines and chicken tasted amazing. Staff was lovely and attentive. I would definitely come back.

What a find!! We visited the Silves Castle and was looking for a lunch spot. We just accidentally stumbled into this place. I saw a huge smoking BBQ loaded with chicken close to the sidewalk, lots of tables spilling out to the sidewalk from the restaurant and a lot of locals sitting shoulder to shoulder having a meal!! What more can you ask for to know that this can't go wrong!!

We got a table in few minutes and then the food arrived. First it was bread, olives and a mix of carrot and bell pepper drizzled with olive oil.. then in a little while came 2 plates of tomato, onion and lettuce salad with a lovely dressing..

Then came the fries and finally, 2 full plates of mouth watering, piri piri chicken!! Wow !! What a treat.. my son and I finished almost 80% of the chicken as my wife and daughter enjoyed the rest:).. The chicken was very nicely done and dabbed with piri piri sauce which gives a very nice taste. The owner came to me and gave me 2 more sauce bottles with one having 3 chilli spiciness and the other having 5 !! YES I did try the 5 chilli and it WAS spicy even for my standards !! When they saw me try this it really brought a wide smile to their faces !!

The atmosphere was amazing, sitting next to locals and having a Portuguese meal!! We finished all the food and then more food came in the form of fruits and a piece of almond cake.. That is it!! I couldn't eat anything else as I was soooooooo full!!!

Off to the next destination ... Albufeira....

The most affordable local food and great staff can be found in this restaurant! The chicken piri piri and dorade (both from bbq) were delicious! We only spent about €20 for 1 wine, 1 beer, 1 coffee, 1 tea, the dorade and chicken piri piri with fries or potatoes. Also… quite some side dishes were included! And the salad was super fresh and has a good taste. Finished off with some fresh fruit. Wow! If you are nearby, you should try this place! Our local kayak/sup instructor recommended this place to us and it was definitely a bonus on top and at the end of our holiday.

The staff was quite busy all the time, but nonetheless they remained very friendly. And I am still amazed about the productive serving system they have in the chaos they sometimes are in! Chapeau! We are happy that they treat everyone equal, whether you are a local or tourist.

It was very packed at around 8/9pm, but managed to get a table within a few minutes. Not the most comfortable place to hang out, but the food compensates it all!

Terrific chicken piri piri, chips, rice, salad, great wine, covers and even a refreshing dessert plate of oranges. Excellent value.

Hands down the best piri piri chicken I've ever had. We keep coming back year after year. The food is delicious, from the couvert to the fresh fruit dessert that comes as standard! But it's clearly the piri chicken that's the star, you can get other dishes, but everyone gets chicken. I don't think there's a menu, and if you want more you can just ask! Bottomless piri piri!
Also need to mention how cheap it is! €20 for two people, drinks, couvert, salad, chips, chicken, dessert.

Eat like the locals. Friendly service and prices. 3 people, had 1/2 ltr wine, bottle of water for the table and 2 of us had extra meat and fries and spend 35 euro including tip. Very nice service. Recommended!

We were super excited to try this place and luckily it lived up to our expectations. It is mad and busy and noisy but we were seated pretty quickly and okay staff were not the friendliest but it all just adds to the atmosphere.

We were delighted by the grilled fish and chicken piri piri and the price was very reasonable, based on consumption, only 20 euros.

This place is insanely good & I’m a tourist. Yes it’s €16 for 2 people but more if you have beer. There’s no menu & you don’t order, they just ask fish or chicken. It’s a chicken place but the fish is outstanding & constantly changing. We’ve been 4 times in a week & one time we had 3 beers & 2 wines and it only came to €24! Total. If you think €16-€20 is too expensive then I can’t help sorry. We love it & cant wait to go back. It’s a busy, buzzy, fast and entertaining place. We love it... To give this a 1* is an insult & I think you need to have look in the mirror....

I cannot rate this place highly enough. If you’re in the area, or even if you’re not, make your way here and have the Chicken. Price is excellent, the chicken is excellent & the house rosè is also excellent. If I could give it more stars I would.

Great piri piri chicken with chips and (slightly cold) rice. It's a pretty efficient operation which means that the service and atmosphere suffer a bit. But the chicken and the price make up for it.

Loved the piri piri chicken with fries and salad. Two of us shared a 1/2 chicken and a drink and only paid €8.50 that is so cheap!

Well deserved reputation. Think of it it as a much, much better Nandos. Only 21€ for 2 of us for a half-chicken, fries, salad, mini starter and fruit to finish.

Coming from the netherlands... This is amazing! Freshly cooked piri piri chicken with as much drinks and side dishes as you want! The atmosphere is really good as well, lots of locals. Definitly recommend.

Do you wanna feel as a local? You don’t wanna find yourself struggling with a long menu, do you? This is your place! You can choose between chicken and sardinhas, but why not both?! They will be grilled in your face! Some fruits with a slice of cake is included in the service. 17 euro for two people.
