Small but very "emphatic" market, here u find a bit of everything just out of the gardens a locally produced.

After a recent renewal, the market reopened anew. With much light, aircon and a slicker feeling. Restaurants occupy the perimeter of the building, facing outwards, with esplanades. Inside are the traditional market produce sellers (open in the morning only), and stalls continue towards the back street (maybe not everyday?), creating a continuous and diverse shopping options, mingled with the city fabric.

There is a lift to the upper floor and the market space is accessible.

Love it! Good local products - honey, nuts, olives, biscuits etc. Also fresh produce from farms

Great work on restoring the old market: a good place for a tourist visit. Part of old Silves has been retained!

If you are in Silves, a must see. You get fresh vegetables, fruits, meat and fish daily. The merchants are so nice. Made it a habit to walk to the market every day morning, get veggies and fish for the day.

Great time to watch a soccer game aka futbol

Fresh products, big choice for good price. You can buy fruits, vegetables, flowers, fresh bread, homemade products, sweets and many more.

Lovely small market area

Great place for local produce. Lots of locals with the products of their farms. The almonds were good and cheaper than at home. The cauliflowers and leeks were large and fresh. There was also a big fresh fish section with a local catch. Another section had sort of cake things made from figs and almonds. The whole thing is in a nice building dating from the 1940s.
Worth a quick visit if you are passing.

It is a little market with a variety of good for sale, along with a few places to grab lunch.

Not open until April. This will be a great feature for Silves. Renovated restaurant Valdemar and others on a super new terrace. Can't wait to go there 🍴👍

Newly refurbished, very clean and bright, friendly vendors and diverse products. Overall a great atmosphere and a recommended visit in Silves!

Great refurb. New and functional without being posh although, gone are the days of a cheap piri-piri in the outside charcoal grills 😥
