Lovely little cafe by the entrance to the castle which was perfect to have a drink and rest.
The waiter was very polite and freindly and sat me at a perfect table in the sun.
Only had a drink and a slice of cake but there was a decent menu with a variety of food on jad i wanted a meal.
Would recommend especially on a nice day.

Very beautiful place and experience with live music. The food ( bife the chef) and deserts are great. Nice to eat and enjoy there during the holiday.

Just below the castle with a wonderful view over Silves when seated outside. Inside the seating is intimate. At night the lights are lovely. Great live music on Friday, Saturday evening and Sunday lunch. Pizzas are good and the black pork fillet is delicious.

Great space, patio looks at the castle, back space is cozy and the main is setup well for shows. The staff is moving fast and a bit abrupt at times but Laura had a smile for me. The hostess was delightful, greeted me with a warm smile & attended to me and everyone else. The 2 severs & hostess are a well oiled machine working to get the job done.
The mussels were cooked well and the buttery sauce was delicious with crusty bread to dip. The pizza was tasty but not my favorite with a cracker crust. I should have had one of the alluring specials that the table in front of me had.
Truly I came for the jazz which didn’t disappoint.

Great location, very charming and right by the castle… amazing outside seating area, nice views and food. Staff is friendly and helpful. We had drinks only after an earlier lunch at a different city.

A cute cafe surrounded by history. It’s very closed to the castle and the church so after a few tours you can sit down and enjoy a meal. We really enjoyed the pizza and the fresh squeezed orange juice. After all this is the capital of the oranges

Surrounded by beautiful Moorish architecture adds an interesting perception to the perfect pizza's, which have light crispy bases and delicious juicy toppings. The duck, served with cranberries and buttered mash potatoes had a strong gamey aroma you'd expect, washed down with a fruity house red. The service was friendly, relaxed and made you feel welcomed. We had one of our best dinning experiences at Cafe Ingles.

Gazpacho and vegetable soups very good! The same about grilled squids and octopus salad. Everything was very tasty!

Warm welcome lovely ambiance outside under the trees with lights. Super food...best fried garlic prawns for miles. Served over bread to soak up the juices..yum. Highly recommended.

Fantastic place, beautiful decor and ambience, great location by the castle of Silves, with terrace and view to the monuments very high up the hill, in the town historical center. We had dinner with live concert - was amazing can only recommend. We ordered the (super tender) steak, vegetable and gorgonzola calzone ( recommend for those who can't eat heavy meals for dinner, loved it), and fisherman's calzone (spicy and full of flavour) all was delicious, and went very well with a glass of wine (good selection of Algarve's wines). The staff was very nice, helpful, made us feel at home. Super recommend! The menu does not have many options but enough to satisfy every taste and there is some variation every day. The ingredients were all fresh. The dough of the pizza/calzone was thin and crisp =)

Absolutely gorgeous food really is the best .
Service second to none fast attentive always happy to explain . Lovely relaxed atmosphere amongst the trees lights soft music in the back ground. Truly is a pleasure from start to end .

Wow do I love this place. If you are the sort of person that loves great food with great service then look no further. This place has it all . Best of all, it's not expensive at all.

The town of Silves has a lot of charm and Café Inglês is certainly a massive part of that. With exceptional views of either the castle behind or over the town and landscape beyond, it is wonderfully relaxing sitting in the courtyard of the Café. The house red wine really is delicious and the food is actually way better than anyone has a right to expect it to be. The tuna pizza is perfectly cooked and loaded with tuna and just the right amount of other ingredients (thanks for taking off the corn!) and the Smoked Salmon salad was out of this world! Maybe the only thing better is the homemade cakes and desserts, the chocolate orange cake is excellent, oh and the almond cake is as delicious as described... Thank you so much for a special meal and relaxing stop at Café Inglês, we will definitely return for the food and the incredible service next time we are in the Algarve!

Great venue with kind staff and nice local food. Go for the carob cake with a vanilla ice-cream on the top. They are very tasty!

Lovely setting just outside the castle walls. Very good freshly made food and a friendly atmosphere. Better choice than the cafe inside the castle. The sort of place that has your mouth watering the moment you walk in and smell the cooking. Terrace and garden as well as inside seating which we were glad of on a chilly blustery November day. Recommended.

We sat down for a beer, but ended up dining here. Lovely place to sit and just enjoy the view. Both (we think) the owner and female staff had a natural kindness welcoming and serving. The food was very tasteful and well prepared, only the ham on the pizza did not look very fresh to us since it came in square slices. When you visit the Castelo, make sure you enjoy the garlic bread and great white wine!

Lovely place for lunch. We had the polvo salad and a pizza. Both were excellent value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Perfect location and very good food for a fair price and all under the welcoming shadow of chestnut trees during the summer blaze at the Algarve. Since 1983 and meant to be and to stay. Forget the cathedral and the castle walls: hit the bar of "café Inglês" and chill for the day while mellow music plays.

Delicious food, perfect location with view on the castle, great service.
Would recommend to taste local food with a elaborated twist for a very accessible price.
