Amazing location with very good food, friendly service and a great location.

Outside of all cities this restaurant is located with an amazing view on the castle of Silves.

For us, this was the best restaurant we visited during our stay in Portugal.

We had Monkfish with Rice, it is for 2 persons and so delicious, amazing

If you are visiting Silves, this is definitely the place to eat. It deserves 6 stars, if I could!

We visited Silves during a 2 week holiday based in Carvoeiro, and this restaurant was highly recommended to us and we were so pleased. It's is an absolute gem.

The restaurant is very easier to find despite being away from the centre (see pic from the Castle), but that's good given that parking in Silves is difficult. There are covered also parking spaces, which is a welcomed benefit and there is plenty of parking.

We didn't reserve a table, but arrived early for lunch, good job we did as it was soon full.

The service was lovely, attentive, but in a very relaxed way, so we didn't feel rushed at all. They helped us with any food translations.

The food was definitely the best authentic Portuguese we have had in our 8 years coming to the Algarve. The menu is varied so there is something for all tastes.

I was also amazed at the pricing which was very good value, given we had a bottle of fizz and deserts.

Great service - quite fast and courteous.
The dinning room inside is a bit packed and dark, so sitting outside gives you more space, castle view comes as a bonus.
Starter plates, that are brought to the table, are charged (but it’s very typical of pt restaurants).
Our meat & clam cataplana was absolutely delicious and was more than enough even for 3 of us.
Really nice lunch option.

Probably the best Restaurant i had dinner in the last weeks.

Just a magical night view over Silve's fortifications of the Castle.
Its a place to re-visit. Fair prices and a very friendly staff that know their products and advise a good wine to a good food.

Lovely place with very good traditional Portuguese food

Arrived without a reservation on a busy Sunday lunchtime. A table was promptly found. Service was superb. Food excellent, freshly cooked, hot and tasty. Prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be returning.

Real authentic food from Algarve, a bit far from Silves downtown, but with a beautiful view on Silves' castle. Really good food at a reasonable price. Don't forget to try this place if you're in the area!

I absolutly loved that restaurant.

You could sit either inside, or outside, and even in a glass environnement, so you can watch the Maures' Castle, while you eat, which lights Up at night.

There is a variaty of meals, served from eel, steak, to fish even wild boar.

Everything we tasted was absolutly delicious.

And at reasonable prices.

The service was impeccable.

And ample parking place.

Simply decorated inside, with old tools used for working the fields and a lovely fire place.

Outside, there is old mechanism that was used usually near rivers to either get the water or when connected to start à mill. In this case they fixed it to pull water from a well. And Along the fence olive trees. Very nice.

Charming place with great atmosphere and delicious food. They have great outdoor seating facing the Castelo de Silves. Try the javali (boar); it's a house specialty and very tasty!

We had wonderful meals here from the specials list, with friendly and helpful staff to deal with allergies.
There was even a guy playing sax for a few minutes, all in all a great lunchtime experience.

First night in Silves and we asked for a recommendation in a bar for somewhere good for authentic Portuguese food. Didn’t have a reservation but as it was Monday night they were not too busy. It’s located on a tiny road at the back of the castle a little way out of Silves but the view of the castle and countryside is wonderful.

We both had the wild boar which was fantastic. Service was polite and efficient. A good selection of Portuguese wines. There are many places in Silves to eat but this is worth the extra effort for the location, the food and the service.

One of the best restaurants in Algarve! Please try their deserts, traditional in the region!
