We came here for lunch while passing through while walking the fisherman’s trail and staying at hotel across the street. Lovely light and airy atmosphere and nicely tucked away from the road. I had the swordfish which was cooked perfectly and served with a relish topping that complemented the fish nicely. This was served with a small chopped salad and 3 crispy potato patties which were both delicious. Presentation was thoughtful and appealing. My husband had the shrimp with egg and beans. The presentation was aLao appealing and my husband loved the dish. Meal was light and tasty but still was hearty enough to fill us up after our walk. Service was efficient and attentive.

The best of service! I asked for an espresso martini (not on the menu) and their bar guy made it especially for me (his second ever attempt). Tasted amazing. Huge! And the food was excellent too. We both had different meat dishes and they were beautifully created with different sauces, salads and rice/potatoes. Nice atmosphere too. The tiramisu was nice - maybe some amaretto would have made it ever better.

Superb. Excellent food, friendly staff in a quiet atmosphere. Tuna salad, lomo de leitao or veggie option..each dish comes with a different flavour. Love it

Absolutely amazing food. Stayed locally on a cycling tour. Highly recommend. Fantastic service spoke really good English. Very fast and efficient service. Drinks are fabulous too.

Delicious delicious. Excellent selection of options — the chef delivers in many areas from the temperature of the meats to the complex dipping sauces. Best service in town. Cocktails!!!! House special is my favorite! Fun atmosphere with a hipster vibe. TIP: House special.

We were here spontaneously for lunch. There was a wonderful grilled pork tenderloin as a daily report, which even our son, who is usually hard to convince of food, loved. And there was a very juicy grilled swordfish, which I have never eaten so well in this form. The prices are very low considering the quality. Nice garden and also inside good concept with cool music. Clear recommendation!!!

Delicious food and friends staff! We come here often and are never disappointed by our meal. The house specialty (suckling pig), entrecôte and swordfish are some of our favorite dishes.

Very very good! We had a great swordfish and a delicious interpretation of codfish with two glasses of good red wine. Presentation and taste were great and the portions were really big. Excellent price-performance. Additionally the vegetables are mostly home-grown in their garden or locally bought.

The service personal was very friendly, fast and attentive and rounded off this great evening.

Definitely highly recommended!!!

A total surprise. Each dish we had was delicious and the white sangria is really good! Number one plate though were the pork cheeks 👌👌

The meat here is divinal! The staff is superb, very friendly and professional. The avg price of a main dish is 17€.

TIP: try to book a table before going there since it can get really busy.

I visited Varzea first for lunch and then the following day for dinner. On both occasions, I thought the service was great, though for dinner they were a bit rushed, please chill a bit and give ppl time to finish chewing before offering desert. On the desert topic, great, I loved it. Food is excellent, the best I had in these parts for sure. My favourite was the Picanha. I tried both the little pig and the steak, the steak wins for sure. It's way more tasty and well presented. For desert, I tried the tiramisu and chocolate mousse, both are great.
I would highly recommend trying this place, but do book ahead as it gets very busy. They answer their phone, my emails never got answered. Thank you again.

Great food and space. We had a very pleasant lunch outside. Not only is the food good but it also looks pretty and they try not to have the same dishes you can find in the typical Portuguese restaurants, or at least they bring something different and interesting to the plate.

Excellent, the food was amazing with very interesting flavors. And the service just perfect. Friendly and speak perfect English. The restaurant itself is also very charming.

Awsome looking and tasting food! We really liked the appetizers with fresh bread and home made dips. All the tapas we had was just amazing, we had octopus for the first time and we enjoyed every bit 😁 The stew with mashed potatoes in the jar was exceptional, I would eat again any time!

We sat outside and the garden is nice with a lot of greens, the server was very kind and helpful. The prices are very reasonable, we two eat and drink for about 40€. I would definitely come again and recommend Varzea 😄

Fantastic service, and the swordfish is superb. I found the sliced tuna started a bit over cooked, despite it saying grilled rare on the menu. But aside from that I had a great meal.

We visited twice during our stay in Aljezur and both times the service was excellent and food first class. Portions were decent, there was plenty of choice on the menu and prices were good. I'd recommend booking at peak times as it does get busy but it's worth a wait as the food is fantastic.

Nice restaurant, good food and good service. We enjoyed the dinner sitting outside with live music (not sure if they do it every night).

We tried all three types of tajines, "Pica-Pau do Mar" as a starter and the tiramisu for dessert. It all tasted amazing but the tajines were from another planet. The service was great as well on both nights. Best to reserve a table though, because the place is full in the evening.
