O Paulo

This was one of our favorite stops in Portugal. You keep driving until the road stops on top of the cliff. The views are breathtaking and the food was fantastic. Servers were friendly, attentive and helpful with local information. I recommend it very highly!

This seafood restaurant is among our top favorites in Portugal. It's perched right next to a cliff, offering a breathtaking sunset view. The seafood is impeccably fresh, and the service is commendable. We indulged in barnacles, octopus salad, and spider crab, all of which were truly outstanding. Don't forget to secure a reservation, and be sure to bring a sweater for the post-sunset chill—it can get a bit chilly.

Great spot for a nice meal out. Seafood was on point. I recommend the octopus salad for any occy lovers out there (forgot to get a photo as I ate it so fast ! )

Delicious food and wine selections, with a spectacular view. A bit on the pricey side, but that’s what’s to be expected with the view and quality of the dishes— a nice after surfing splurge. My favourites were the house white wine, barnacles (garlic bread combo), sea bass, and stuffed mushrooms. But seriously everything was lovely.

Absolutely loved the place! We visited two times and had fresh dorada, seafood spaghetti, and oven-baked codfish. All of which were really really good! The deserts are also fantastic, we had different cakes and the mouse au Chocolat. Beer from the tap too! Staff was super nice at all times and very child friendly.
If you're coming here in the high season, you definitely want to book a table in advance though, since both food and the views from here are amazing!

We went to O'Paulo today and opted for the Mariscada de Arrifana for €95. We were 2 adults and a small child. The restaurant was clean and the service was helpful and friendly. The white house wine was great. The seafood platter was excellent and of good quality. The brown crab was perfect. The mussels tasty, especially the ameijoas, were delicious. The oysters were fresh. The view was beautiful. It was a bit noisy but that was because we were here at lunchtime on a Sunday. I can recommend it if you want fresh seafood.

Our favourite restaurant during our holiday in Portugal. Seafood simply outstanding - 'Shrimp and Squid Kebab', 'Seafood Curry' and 'Cod' dishes amazing! Panoramic views of Atlantic from sunrise to sunset top off a wonderful visit irrespective of the time if the day you go along 👌🏽👌🏽

Great value for the quality of the food. We had the seafood plate Mariscada O Paulo and it was more than enough for two persons. Everything was super fresh and tasty and we complemented it with a bottle of white house wine. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The food is wonderful, drinks are a good price and the sunset was absolutely insanely beautiful. But the best part of the night was our wonderful young Brazilian waitress from Rio. She was so funny, warm and welcoming. We really hope to come back again and see her.

Excellent food and large portions. We had an excellent lunch with friendly service. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating with an amazing view along the coastline and the ocean, absolutely wonderful to sit.
As an engineer I also point out the LTE Relais station you can see covering the opposite beach and two point-to-point Relais radio mirrors used for mobile coverage along the shore.

Plumped for this restaurant on the cliffs overlooking a wild coastline. Really pleased with the food, ambience and service. Excellent local fish. Wide variety of food offered including meat. House white at €13.80 a bottle was a bargain.

Very good place, excellent service with pleasant waiters, food was perfect and the view amazing moreover at sunset.

Grate food do not be concerned about the pricing most fish are priced in per kg but most servings are around 400g our meal for two people starters main plus desert with drinks €93 service was excellent but we were early finished by 8.30pm

Very good restaurant with amazing location and views. Excellent sea food (I really recommend barnacles) and generous portions. It’s not cheap but is worth every penny

I it is hard to tell what was the best: the food, the service, the atmosphere!!! Everything's was excellent and if I'll ever get the chance I will return there. We had fish soup and crab on toast as starters and they were both amazing! The mains we had two types of grilled fish of dayliy catch that were finished on point with delicious sides, accompanied with great quality olive oli. Of course you can't go there and miss the breathtaking views. Highly recommen.

I love this place. It is something magical about food, view and good wine in this place.

The O Paulo was a great stop during our visit of the west coast of Portugal. We stopped there for a short lunch but our stay was longer than expected. The view down of the Cliff was absolutely marvelous. You can walk around the restaurant and will have a view to all directions.
We took some drinks and a salad in the restaurant and we're fully satisfied. The salat was fresh and not to expensive, the drink were cold and the waiting time okay.
We would recommend the O Paulo for others on their journey though the west coast.

Wide variety of meals to choose from, fish looked amazing and so fresh. We had Grilled Pork Tenderloin and Salmon Tagliatelle. Both portions very generous. Glad we only had couvert to start. Will be going back for Fish next time.

Very friendly & attentive staff, fresh and delicious food, great location and atmosphere. Spent eur 80 for two persons, without alcohol.

Good food and superb views! Oysters super fresh and teasty. Tiger shimps with garlic were excellent. Crab pâté good but I would change toast bread for toasted baguette. Place really worth a visit.
