Dropped into Nick’s shop to enquire if he could help with a buckled rear wheel, broken and loose spokes on my bike. Nick could not be more helpful, stripped the wheel, new spokes and tightened/aligned everything. Bike now back to its best. Fantastic service and a great guy. Then proceeded to give us very useful advice on where to park up overnight and where to visit. Can’t beat a Northerner!!

We were very lucky to visit Aljezur and discover Nick's rental business in one of the lovely streets next to the main square. Nick has a solid selection of rental (MTB) bikes including an e-bike for my wife. We came back the next day and with the help of Nick we were off in no time. During our 40 km off/on-road trip both bikes performed super. There is so much still to discover around Aljezur and its coast we will be bike later this year. Again renting our bike with Nick. Can’t say enough about the renting experience at Hashtag Bike Rental, absolutely loved it. Nick cared that all necessary accessories came with the bike such as pump, tube, backpack so I felt well equipped. He also advised best routes to follow and views were breathtaking. Great service from Nick, bikes delivered to my villa at time agreed, communication all very easy, bikes very new and in excellent order and provided with spares/pump, etc plus helmet and lights as requested.

There are some great trails around Vale da Telha and Aljezur area - if you are in the area I recommend renting from this company!

Me and my girlfriend decided last-minute to rent two mountainbikes for a couple of hours. We were staying in Lagos where I couldn't find any decent MTB rental services nearby. So I stumbled on Hashtag bike rental through Google, which was only a 30min drive from Lagos and provided great mountainbikes. The owner was super friendly, we didn't want to do a super technical trail so we received advice which direction we should cycle.

We did a 50km trip with the bikes in 4 - 5 hours between Aljezur and Odeceixe. A perfect mix between a little bit road and lots of gravel with a couple of fun climbs.

Also great that this company has multiple bike sizes, my girlfriend had a small mountainbike and I got a medium one.

We also paid a fair price to quality bikes like this in comparison to other companies which provide less quality.

Definitely recommending this rental service to anyone there!

Small tip: if you have the time prepare your route upfront through an app like Komoot, Basecamp or similar. I didn't prepare so I had to check my maps on my smartphone regularly since their are a lot of gravel roads but anyway had a lot of fun!

Words can’t express my gratitude for Nick and his business Hashtag Bikes, but I’ll do my best here. I came to the shop with a *bit* of a cassette problem on my Marin cyclocross bike (warped sprockets from Too Much Eurovelo Fun), and he worked with me methodically to take the whole thing apart and rebuild it with some spare parts. Nick helped me understand the problem, was generous with his time and advice, and left me feeling confident for the road ahead. Thanks again Nick- and keep a look out for that leatherman tool in the post.

Great experience renting bikes here. As we were staying in a nearby village (25km) without means of transportation we asked him if it would be possible to have the bikes delivered to us and collected afterwards and that was no problem at all, and all communication was straightforward and honest. Nick's a very nice guy and totally helpful. Then the bikes - they were of a fantastic quality, rugged and sturdy enough to let us bike on the often very rough roads of the old Vincento trail. Plus, they came with spare tubes, pumps and locks. Overall, definitely recommended!

Bike rental was perfect and Nick is super kind! We booked and paid the bikes in advance and communicated per WhatsApp our arrival time. When we arrived he waited for us at the shop and told us the best way to get to our place. We rented the bikes for one week and we were able to explore the beautiful nature only with our bikes!

This was one of four bikes I rented over a two week period (as I was travelling around the Algarve), and it was by far the best. The bike itself was great - I was doing around 15- 20 miles a day, a lot of which was down dirt tracks, and the bike handled everything. Nick was super friendly and helpful - as I don’t drive and was moving to a remote location, he took me and the bike from one place of accommodation to the next and also picked me and the bike up when I was leaving. I really couldn’t have asked for more! Will definitely be returning.

We could not have continued without Nick! He tightened and straightened every spoke on our two bicycles. We are thrilled!! Nick is amazing.

We rented two bikes (an e-bike and a normal one) for two days. The bikes were great and we had a wonderful time. No problems at all! Nick, the owner was also very nice and adviced us on routes to some quiet beaches, which were indeed beautiful and worth the visit.
