Peniche Hospital

I went at 1am on a Sunday they couldn’t have been more helpful seem in under 10 minutes although it wasn’t busy they do the best they can triage nurse very helpful despite being under pressure with a seriously I’ll patient doctor helpful as well they looked after me and kept my wife informed

Doctors do speak english. They've been nice to me and all the others that i met there. It is not as bad as it seems to be. You have to be patient, as everywhere in Portugal.

Thanks to them! They helped us a lot 4am in the morning and my wife get better with the treatment.

I spent Christmas in Peniche with my boyfriend and his family and unfortunately I fell ill, needing to visit this hospital. The staff were so kind and welcoming, and with my European Health Insurance Card the visit was just 14 Euros. What would have cost me at least 100 Euros in my home country! The nurse and doctor took such great care of me despite my broken level of Portuguese! Many staff spoke great English which was amazing. I would not hesitate in recommending this hospital to foreigners if they happen to fall sick while in Peniche. Although it is a hospital and you are going to have to wait to be seen, I was in and out under 2 hours. They were very patient and extremely thorough, providing the relevant treatment to me.

I had to use this hospital today. Neck trauma. As a foreigner I didn't know what to expect..... The staff could not have been more helpful. I waited no longer than a few minutes for triage. I was looked after by a very proffesional and tremendously caring nurse and doctor and swiftly taken to another hospital for a CT scan. They do the very best with the equipment they have and try their best if you make an effort to treat them as humans. I personally witnessed the staff taking a lot verbal abuse in the short time i was there. I didn't have my EHIC card and was invoiced for €65 which i happily paid. The amount was reduced to €14 as I was transferred to another hospital. Much thanks to all of the staff.

Je recommande clairement le service des urgences.

Habe mir heute beim surfen ein 3cm cut über dem rechten auge geholt! hatte aufgrund der rezesionen sorge in das krankenhaus zufahren! wurde aber eines besseren belehrt! es war zwar nicht viel los aber war nach 30min und 5 stichen wieder drausen! Wie die narbe sein wird kann ich jetzt noch nicht sagen! aber ich würde wieder in dieses krankenhaus gehen! danke für die rasche hilfe!

Agradeço a forma espetacular como fui tratada no dia 1de maio no hospital de Peniche após ter dado uma queda fui atendida rapidamente obrigado a todos desde médicos a enfermeiros e até o porteiro ou segurança que me levou na cadeira de rodas bem hajam Fernanda oliveira
