Excellent seafood. We had the grilled squid, seafood rice, fish with mussel rice and the bacon wrapped pork skewers. Every single dish was fantastic, but the seafood rice and mussel rice was simply outstanding. Both the servings were large and we could have possibly shared these 2 mains amongst the 4 of us with room for appetisers and desserts.

The food it's really good!! We ate the cod fish (different plates) and it was just perfect! Tender, tasty, well cooked. And the cheesecake at the end was the best way of finishing the dinner. The service was attentive and gave us a few food suggestions and he nailed it! It's one of those places that I will start to go every time I'm around. Just don't forget to reserve a table because they were full when I went.

One of the best meals we’ve ever had! Everything was perfection & service was exemplary. It was a great outing during our day trip to Péniche. Highly recommended ! And don’t be fooled by what it looks like on the outside. The interior design is outstanding ; subtle yet perfectly balanced with earth tones. Loved it!

Upscale restaurant with good food! We walked in without reservation and they were able to seat us immediately. Servers were very friendly and made extremely good recommendations. We took all of our servers recommendations and we loved the food! Ordered the fig with goat cheese starter, the fried cod and rice, and finished with cheesecake. Highly recommend everything! Such a nice finish to our Portugal trip!

I recently visited Tasca do Joe, and despite the crowded atmosphere, I was impressed with the delicious food and pleasant service. The standout dish for me was the tuna steak - it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Despite not having a reservation, the staff were accommodating and found us a table with minimal wait time. Additionally, the portions were generous and satisfying. Overall, I would highly recommend Tasca do Joe for anyone looking for a great dining experience.

Really lucky that I could just walk in here because you definitely need a reservation and it’s very busy even at lunch.

I had the best meal here in Peniche.
Ordered the mussel, and fish on rice with blood sausages as the appetizer.
I also ordered a dessert which was the rice pudding and it was good except they over decorated it with cinnamon.

Wish I ordered more fresh seafood as they had lobsters, squid, and crabs ready to be cooked and served.

Service is also excellent and would definitely come back.

Everyone has bigged this place up for the last couple years and it didn’t disappoint. Vibe, staff, food and drink all exceptional. Especially the staff… Luis and Maria(? Sorry) were siblings for the night

Tuna pickles… sounds like a weird dish but probably the best. Melt in the mouth goodness.

Fish soup was phenomenal. Had a lil squid ink fish sitting on top which made it feel like you diving for treasure.

Luis made a banging Per Se cocktail and it came with a specialist bite which the chefs made for us on request. Off menu deliciousness is the best kind of deliciousness.

Vino Verde… cried a little when I tasted it. It was an emotional night and someone had just presented me with a mini Mazda Bongo.

Always the dankest! Been coming here for ages and it’s always such a delicious meal whether you’re with a group, a date, a mate, or solo sauce. I typically get the fillet as I did last night and it’s splendid if I do say so myself. The shrimp and the rib eye also looked delish. Had some vino & the chocolate mousse to top off a lurvely night. Definitely coming back heaps mates

An awesome meal experience! The site has parking available around and the structure offers a gourmet shop attached with the restaurant, all newly refurbished. The staff is super friendly and attentive (special thanks to Roberto, the ecuadorian), always providing a fast responsive service. The restaurant has a lovely setting with plain material, wines and frames focusing on the fish area and open kitchen. The menu offers a locally sourced and wide range of dishes all with great quality and taste (cooked to perfection). Prices are reasonable as you should expect, depending on what you looking for. If ever in Peniche don’t think twice even if you want a restaurant overseeing the ocean!

The steak is cooked just right, the meals are exquisite, and the kitchen is open, so people can eat at ease. Five-star recommendation👍🏻

The service was high quality and so was the food. The waitress recommended a fine wine and gave us good advice for the menu. I recommend if you want to eat quality seafood.

Absolutely amazing! We had the most friendly and helpful waiter, food and wine to die for, in a real traditional Portuguese restaurant! I would not hesitate to drive hours out of my way to come back here!

Everything was really good and so we're the desserts.

Me and my family walked by just when they opened and got a table without having made a reservation. (I mention this because many reviews say that you have to book in advance)

Luis is a spectacular bartender. Will be back for his service.
Everything else was very good too, I like their glassware.
