Praia D'El Rey Marriott Golf & Beach Resort

This hotel is in a fabulous location on one of the nicest beaches I have ever been to. It is a rather large complex, which itself of an extensive golf resort. The rooms are nice and spacey (we were upgrade to a suite), just the beds were very uncomfortable for my liking (and in particular compared to other Marriott properties)). However, the staff did everything they could to fix this and was very helpful and forthcoming. Breakfast was also nice, and there are more food options on site.

This is the best hotel have I ever been in my life. Really, I was in many countries and hotels as well, but this one exceeded my expectations. The building is old but very well maintained and luxury. The SPA is amazing with their really hot sauna with aroma therapy. Service is impeccably and very attentive (this is the first hotel in my life where we get a room cleaning twice a day!). Food is also very good, you can choose many options for every diet preferences. The kids playground is great. Also, I liked big cups in the room and their cosmetics «thisworks»!

Had a delightful time here. The room was great, with comfortable bedding and bed, spacious and very clean.
We enjoyed the spa while we were here. Had a great massage. the only complaint is that we never wanted it to end. We also utilised the indoor pool and sauna areas, which were fairly empty when we were there, so that was nice.
It's a beautiful location, although it was too cold to swim in the ocean at this time of year we had some lovely walks near the property and watched surfers.
The location is a bit of a double-edged sword. While it was beautiful and quiet, because it is so remote, there are little food options available besides the premium resort restaurant
Overall, we had a great stay, and this place felt fairly affordable for what it was.

Fantastic place. Really. I'm lifetime platinum, and this is a great resort where they really take care of you like you'd expect from a Marriott property. The people are so nice and friendly and helpful. This can be missing from other places these days, but this hotel has it all. The room we had was spacious for Portugal. For Europe actually. The towels were big and cozy. We had a balcony and they provided umbrellas in the room and cushions to take out onto the balcony furniture. They had a breakfast buffet and a dinner buffet as well. They cook the steaks super thin, but the evening buffet (opened at 7pm) had a steak chef who would prepare steaks to order. Eggs to order and omelets in the morning. Not American food, but typical for Europe and quite tasty. They have the special espresso machines all day at the bar since they don't have an M-Club, they just "charge" it to your room, so if you're Bonvoy elite, it's included.
You can't get down to the beach at low tide unless you're willing to use the rope with knots in it and batman your way down, but the surfers were definitely enjoying 20-foot waves and they got down there somehow. The golf looks great, though it was too cold for my taste. We drove over to Fatima, which took about an hour and 10 minutes. The Castle Obidos is only about 10-15 minutes away, so that's convenient. But we could have enjoyed all our quiet time in the hotel. Very nice amenities, you'll love it!
Oh, one thing is that bottled water is free for breakfast, but not dinner. So if you need bottled water, maybe take some with you from the room to save 5 euros.

One of the best stays i've had in recent years, everything went great! I had initially booked one night to celebrate our 5 year anniversary but upon being upgraded for free to the premium sea view room next to the presidential suite, we decided to extend for another night. They suprised us with free sparkling wine and chocolates, on the second night we were gifted Ginja (liqueur from Óbidos) and upon check-out today we were gifted some local biscuits. The spa was renovated 5 months ago, it was very relaxing and quiet in the evenings after dinner. Breakfast had a lot of variety Thank you to Mariam Shinjikashvili and Inês Gil for the wonderful service, i hope to return soon!

Amazing hotel, plenty of restaurants we loved the sushi and That we could order the other menu as well, dessert was tasty, they had an amazing buffet, just wish there was a shop ! Great view of ocean and there’s indoor and outdoor pools and a spa. There’s a golf course which is right on the cliffs, pretty impressive. Staff was great, building is impressive too.

An excellent spot to use your Marriott points for a beautiful coastal view. Rooms are spacious, clean, and quiet.

Best hotel in the Peniche area for a beach getaway. Micael Santos was very friendly and kind. I informed him that we were celebrating our honeymoon and he prepared the most beautiful room for us with the best view we could’ve asked for. They greeted us with champagne and some lovely treats. Micael was so polite and welcoming and gave us some great recommendations on places to visit and restaurants to try out. I would highly recommend the hotel and definitely meet Micael if this is your first time visiting Peniche ❤ we are very grateful for his service and have the fondest memories of our trip.

Loved this resort so much! We stayed here for our honeymoon. Wine selections were great and food was delicious! Only complaint is the location is very hard to get to, but worth it for the peaceful and gorgeous views and ocean! Just have to plan accordingly.

The hotel is located on the edge of the cliff, above the ocean, a breathtaking place at sunset.
The rooms are huge, the cleanliness is excellent, the shower is simply wonderful, the beds are comfortable and everything is just perfect.
Above all - the staff simply goes out of their way to make you feel like a VIP guest.
Starting with a warm welcome, a surprise waiting for you in the room upon entering, more small surprises arrive from time to time.
And above all - the customer service manager sends a personal message and is interested in whether you are satisfied.
An ideal place for both a romantic vacation and a family vacation, worth the price and highly recommended

This is such a beautiful hotel overlooking the ocean. The beach is just minutes away from the hotel. Very friendly staff and very helpful from the moment you check in.

We stayed here in February this year in a triple room, including breakfast and dinner. Very warm welcome, fast check-inn. Room spacious, comfortable and quiet. The only sound that was heard was the noise of the ocean.
Both meals were perfect. Staff very friendly. Location is remote.

Beautiful hotel steps from the beach in a remote location. This area was a nice central location to check out Obidos, Nazare, and Peniche, before heading back to Lisbon. Next time I hope to play golf!

Their spa is fantastic! For 15euro a day you can relax and enjoy the indoor pools and saunas. Their massage therapists were amazing as well! Wonderful experience!

Sublime resort surrounded by a beautiful beach and golf course. Staff were supe rawest and professional during our stay. What we liked is that everything’s made ready for you to relax. No need to drive anywhere you have delicious restaurants directly at the resort with changing menus. Room was super comfy and we got an upgrade! Thanks a million to the team!

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Facilities, rooms, interior, exterior, etc were exceptional. Rooms were lovely, clean and spacious. Breakfast buffet had huge variety. Would recommend to book evening buffet, it is beautiful. Lovely pools and spa. We will definitely return. Car would be required as no town in walking distance. Ideal for short breaks and golf holidays.

Stayed here for two nights in July while visiting friends and playing golf. Lovely welcome from guest services with a welcome drink and breakfast provided as elite members. Upgraded to a lovely modern sea view room ( 2 double beds) with coffee service, refrigerator, and enough power outlets for phones, PC etc.
Breakfast busy but it was in the middle of kids school holidays.

We didn’t stay here. But used the spa and gym few times. Very clean and excellent facilities.

Stayed in house on complex, not at hotel, golf courses are amazing, some really nice places to eat locally, need transport though to get about.

Great for long beach walks and swims. Food was super, especially the breakfast buffet. The upgrade to the spa fixed the only previous weakness at the resort. Fabulous relaxed break
